I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights! We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions. The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day. The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination. I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage. Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers. The room is exactly you see from the website. Service is good. Loves their morning Soya Milk n noodle. Will certainly recommend this Minsu. Trust me you will love it. My friend n sister falls in the with the rooms. Comfy bed n pillow. Once again Thank you for your wonderful service.

Hygiëne: De slaapomgeving is de eerste factor bij het uitgaan, en dit huis is echt schoon! Service: De baas kan elk probleem perfect oplossen. Vanwege tijdgebrek bleef ik twee nachten en kon ik de afternoon tea niet halen. De locatie is een beetje ver van de oude stad, je kunt een taxi nemen, maar het is heel dicht bij de ingang van Cangshan Mountain. Everything was nicely prepared and felt like a proper home. The highlight was definitely the stunning lake view right from our window—perfect for sunrise lovers. 👩💼 Host experience: The homestay staff was incredibly friendly and understanding. She even arranged a free ride from the railway station, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. 🚧 Outside facilities: This is where it gets a bit mixed. The overall apartment complex (including the parking lot and elevator) felt poorly maintained, and the atmosphere at night was dark and slightly eerie, especially for solo travelers or couples. Many neighboring units seemed unoccupied, which added to the quiet, empty vibe. 📍 Location: Take note—this place is about 50 minutes from Dali Ancient City, so it’s not ideal if you’re planning to explore the old town daily. But if you want to relax by the lake and enjoy peace and views, it could work. Het meest bevredigende verblijf tijdens mijn reis naar Yunnan. Zowel de hardware als de butlerservice van het hotel waren veel duurder dan de prijs van het hotel. De bovenste verdieping van het hotel kijkt uit op de Cangshan-berg en het Erhai-meer. Als u de tijd heeft, kunt u genieten van de veranderingen in licht en schaduw gedurende de dag. Hierdoor vertraagt ​​de tijd en komt u tot rust. De huishoudsters van het hotel zijn allemaal erg jong, zowel de knappe mannen als de mooie vrouwen zijn erg attent. Vanaf het inchecken tot het uitchecken helpen ze u met uw bagage en halen ze u op met een elektrische auto in de oude stad Dali. Het ontbijt is ook zeer voortreffelijk en de eetomgeving is eveneens zeer elegant. Tenslotte wil ik nog de ”handschoenen” noemen. Als bijzondere medewerkers van het hotel hebben ze echt veel emotionele waarde toegevoegd aan mijn dochter! Ik hoop van harte dat het hotel steeds beter gaat functioneren! Ik hoop dat ik er nog een keer kan wonen als ik de kans krijg.

Dit hotel overtrof echt mijn verwachtingen! Ik moet het echt een dikke duim omhoog geven! Ten eerste was de service fantastisch. Vanaf het moment dat we uit de bus stapten, hielp het personeel proactief met onze bagage en hun houding was hartelijk en attent gedurende het hele proces. Bij het inchecken ontdekten ze dat we met kinderen reisden en gaven ze ze zelfs klein speelgoed. De kinderen waren ontzettend blij, wat echt hartverwarmend was. De kamer was ruimer dan ik had verwacht en de inrichting was eenvoudig maar stijlvol. De sleutel was de aandacht voor detail: er waren USB-oplaadpunten bij het bed, een strijkplank in de kast en zelfs de antislipmat in de badkamer was zacht en comfortabel. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen en de matras en kussens waren precies goed, waardoor ik heerlijk heb geslapen. Het eten was ook fantastisch. Naast de ruime keuze aan ontbijtopties was het eenvoudige Chinese en westerse dinermenu ook ongelooflijk lekker en redelijk geprijsd, waardoor het een handige optie was voor de momenten dat ik de deur niet uit wil. De locatie is ook fantastisch, op slechts vijf minuten lopen van het metrostation en omgeven door supermarkten en restaurants. Het is perfect voor zowel zakenreizigers als toeristen. Ik heb dit hotel al aan mijn ”staycation bucketlist” toegevoegd en zal hier zeker nog een keer verblijven. Ik kan het iedereen van harte aanbevelen!

I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel's overall environment was clean and elegant. The room was spacious, and the cleanliness was meticulous. Facilities like the bathroom and appliances were in good working order and provided a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and gentle, check-in and check-out were efficient, and communication was smooth when issues arose. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, making dining and getting around effortless. The guest room area was quiet at night, allowing for good rest. Overall, there were no disappointments; everything exceeded expectations, and the price was reasonable. It was a very pleasant accommodation experience. I will definitely book here again if I return to the area and would recommend it to friends traveling here.

Friendly and convenient hotel. Able to walk around the Dali Santorini area from the hotel. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Quick response to questions via WeChat group chat with the staff. Breakfast has 2 options - Chinese style with rice noodles or Western style with spaghetti. Both are very delicious. Would recommend staying here.

In Haiyin Village, Wase Town, ontdekte ik een plek met een werkelijk adembenemend uitzicht! Een paar dagen geleden verbleef ik in een luxe pension op de kruising van de Cangshan-berg en het Erhai-meer. Toen ik 's ochtends de gordijnen opendeed, was ik verbluft door het uitzicht! Het Erhai-meer leek wel een gigantische spiegel; het ochtendzonlicht glinsterde op het oppervlak en de verre Cangshan-berg verscheen en verdween in de mist, als in een sprookjesland. Het Fansu Guanyun Guesthouse waar ik verbleef, ligt in Haiyin Village en de locatie is werkelijk fantastisch! De kamer kijkt direct uit op de Cangshan-berg en het Erhai-meer en biedt een weids uitzicht. 's Ochtends op het terras, nippend aan een kopje thee en kijkend naar de mistige Cangshan-berg, voelde ik me volledig ontspannen. Het ontwerp van het pension was ook doordacht, met een multifunctionele lobby, een theekamer en een boekenbar. Mijn favoriet was het dakterras; 's Nachts kon je de sterren tellen, en overdag was het een spiegel die de hemel weerspiegelde!
