2-Starhotels in Dali

We highly recommend this hotel. When we first arrived we were greeted by whom I presume to be the owner of the hotel. He helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. Understanding that we know limited Chinese, he took the time to slowly show us the features of the room - including an automated voice command tool and a projector for watching movies. He also learned we have an early check out and spent time using WeChat to share places where we can find breakfast early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it's specious, modern, and well equipped. The facilities are modern and very well-kept. The location is perfect for us - it's a short 5 minute walk from the main tourist area of Dali Old Town - this means the area had more locals, quieter, and more authentic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Dali. 

衞生：這方面沒的説，庭院內和房間內都收拾的很乾凈 設施：挺齊全的，該有的都有了 服務：房東一家都很熱情，入住當天提前聯繫我們，加了微信給我們發攻略和位置，因為出租車衹能開到村口，姐姐還騎電車去接我們，幫忙拿了行李，給我們介紹周邊的吃的和玩的，還幫我們聯繫了租車的（租車是為了騎去大理古城哦，不是去洱海，洱海騎行還是建議去廊道里麪騎那種掃碼的共享電動車），退房當天也是房東大叔早起幫我們送行李，非常感謝！而且入住的時候還給我們升級了房間，比我們原來定的要大很多（圖片是我們升級後的房型，帶帷幔的大床房） 位置：才村這個地方還是很方便的，生活氣息比較濃厚，吃喝玩樂都比較齊全，從民宿出發步行3分鐘就能到洱海邊，看日出簡直太方便了，晚上去才村夜市，早上去吃早餐，都是衹需要步行8分鐘，地理位置很優越。 才村夜市上有一個帥氣小哥賣舂雞腳舂芒果，美味爽口而且很乾凈（反正是我見過的最乾淨的了），當晚直接幹掉兩份！

I’ve been to many holidays and I rarely leave reviews, but this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. The service was impeccable and cannot be compared to other accommodations. There was 6 of us and 4 of us stayed in a family room, while the other 2 stayed in a couple room. There was enough space for all our big luggages. Both rooms were clean, neat and great. The views were amazing as well. We stayed in the winter, but the room heater was strong and the bed had a heating function too. The cleaner cleans the room everyday and tops up all the water, toothbrush etc. The surrounding area near the homestay is good, with a tourist attraction just 5 minutes away on foot. It’s very easy to call a DiDi near the homestay, and it is located in a very convenient district. The owners were very nice, they gave us fruits upon arrival and even topped up our rooms with water as the air was very dry. The owner even brought us to a nearby restaurant and the food was so good, my family and I went back twice. Although there was no elevator, but the service was extremely good at the homestay and the owners helped us with all our baggages. As we are foreigners, the staff recommended food and visiting places in Dali, and went above and beyond by helping us to book a car for our day trip around Erhai Lake at a reasonable cost. Even after our stay, they helped us to charter a car to Lijiang as well. I highly recommend this homestay. The experience I had during my time here has left a very positive experience on our trip to Yunnan. The owners are very friendly and are willing to help you with any queries you have. I will make sure to recommend this homestay to my acquaintances and if I ever visit Dali in the future I would definitely book this homestay again! I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights! We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions. The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day. The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination. I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage. Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers. The Chunrili is at attractive hotel with open hallways and a courtyard in the center, featuring a charming stream and garden, where kids can have lots of fun and adults can admire the charm. I had a very divided experience. My room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom large and hot water ample. The A/C worked fine. All good. But... The rooms have essentially a wall of glass (big windows) facing the open hallways and the courtyard. This means any noise at all echoes up the stone walls of the courtyard and is not dampened at all. My room also lacked a desk and a chair, both of which I missed greatly. Finally, on one especially rainy night (rain being quite common in DaLi), I was awaken by staff pounding on my door: my room was flooding! Water in the open hallway was seeping under my door and onto my floor. I've never experienced the like. And since no luggage rack is provided, either, it was pure luck that my bags weren't soaked. This flooding must happen rather often, and is a serious design flaw. Now, the owners were helpful and charming generally, providing our long-stay group free transport from the DaLI train station. And they keep a fleet of electric scooters that guests may borrow and use to get around. That was wonderful. Finally, the Chunrili is not near much, and in particular, restaurants are rather rare in its neighborhood. Those that exist I would recommend, but more variety was wanted.

Het verblijf was uitstekend. De butler nam een ​​dag van tevoren contact met ons op om te vragen hoe we waren aangekomen en waar we met de taxi naartoe gingen. Op de dag van aankomst werden we persoonlijk opgehaald bij het afzetpunt. De kamer bood een prachtig uitzicht op zee, simpelweg door de gordijnen open te doen; het zonlicht dat op het Erhai-meer weerkaatste was adembenemend. De omgeving van het pension was fantastisch, met de promenade langs het Erhai-meer direct voor de deur, waardoor we gemakkelijk meeuwen en wilde eenden konden zien. De butler bracht ons ook vriendelijk naar het ophaalpunt bij het uitchecken. Een echte aanrader!

離大理古城及洱海有點遠。周圍餐飲、購物不太方便。酒店服務還不錯。衞生狀況不錯。房間設計也比較時尚。智能座便器比較好用。停車就在房前屋後，空間較狹窄，容易剮蹭。進出道路本身就不寬闊，兩邊都停了車，中央衹有一條狹窄的通道，非常容易剮蹭。

De omgeving is fris en eenvoudig, het beddengoed is schoon en comfortabel en elk bed is voorzien van een gordijn en een kluisje, waardoor u zich helemaal veilig voelt. De openbare ruimte is ruim en licht, met boekenplanken, spelletjes en gratis thee. Hier kunt u 's avonds andere reizigers ontmoeten en gezellig kletsen. Het personeel is erg enthousiast en helpt je bij het plannen van routes, het ophalen van expresbestellingen en biedt zeer doordachte service tot in de kleinste details. De ligging is ook erg handig, een echte aanrader voor vrienden die alleen of met vrienden reizen!

We rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages. However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang. After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!

The hotel is just 3 km from Dali Railway Station.If you are using the train,this hotel is one of the best options. I booked a room facing the lake. The view is awesome. There is a lift. The room and toilet are clean. There are basic amenities like body shower, toothbrush,hair shampoo,comb, mineral water,kettle and tv provided. I get free breakfast. They serve plain porridge with condiments, boiled egg,steam corn and sweet potatoes,bread and buns,fresh fruits and warm soy milk.The food is yummy and delicious. Didi is available all the time and easy to assess from the hotel.You may also be greeted by fresh fruit sellers outside the hotel.We do buy some fresh grapes. The hotel reception Ms Xiao Yang is very friendly and helpful.She helped to book Didi to Muslim restaurant for us.We also asked her for help to order a packed lunch because it was raining and we couldn't get out. Despite her work shift ending,she still waited for us to make sure we were safely back to the railway station. I hope her boss will recognise the hospitality she showed. I recommend this hotel to tourists. You will not hear the noise outside the hotel during your stay. Hopefully the management can put the hotel name signboard in english so it is easier for tourists to book Didi. Overall I was satisfied with the room and the warm hospitality the hotel provides.
