"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated!
For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view!
I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation.
I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"Perfecte locatie midden in het oude **********. Alles is dichtbij, maar de accommodatie ligt toch handig in een achterafstraatje, waardoor het 's nachts rustig en vredig is. Slenteren door de smalle straatjes en genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht is iets wat ik me altijd zal herinneren.
Als vrouwelijke soloreiziger voelde ik me meteen welkom en heel veilig, wat voor mij het allerbelangrijkste is. Het bed had elektrische dekens, wat het 's nachts extra behaaglijk maakte. Het was ook erg handig dat er een wasmachine op het dakterras was met extra ruimte om je kleding te drogen.
De wifi is snel en betrouwbaar genoeg voor videogesprekken of het versturen van e-mails etc.
De eigenaar reageerde altijd snel en gaf veel tips en aanbevelingen voor de omgeving en bezienswaardigheden.
Ik zou hier zeker weer verblijven."

"We chose this hotel in Dali. At first it was quite hard to locate and the road always been blocked by another car haish. But the service was very good. We arrived early in the morning but they allowed us to check-in early without extra charge. Room is big but no bed warmer or floor heating. You can switch on the aircond and set on warm mode then it will be okay."

The hotel itself is extremely peaceful. It's the perfect distance away from the noise of the city so the courtyard and room are always quiet, which makes for a perfect break in between trips out to the town or the mountains.

"Een verblijf in Honglingge Inn in Dali was een waar paradijs! De faciliteiten waren top, overtroffen mijn verwachtingen volledig en droegen enorm bij aan mijn reis!
De locatie van de herberg is ongelooflijk gunstig, direct naast de straten en steegjes van de oude stad, en op slechts enkele minuten van het Erhai-meer, waar je heerlijk kunt wandelen. Het betreden van de binnenplaats was adembenemend; het Chinese tuinontwerp, met zijn kunstmatige heuvels, stromend water en retro lantaarns, was prachtig. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte had ongelooflijk comfortabele rotan stoelen en theetafels, compleet met gratis thee en theeservies. Het zetten van een pot thee en genieten van het landschap was zo ontspannend dat ik niet meer weg wilde.
Kortom, mijn verblijf was absoluut zalig en ik zal deze plek zeker weer kiezen de volgende keer dat ik in Dali ben."

And even had more discount while using their accounts to order for 小龙虾 🥹 very grateful for all the help and love they had given us. And even allow us to exchange money from cash into our Alipay account although it was small amount. The location was great also near to railway station and have lots of food shop nearby and also supermarket."

LLiimm11I’ve been to many holidays and I rarely leave reviews, but this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. The service was impeccable and cannot be compared to other accommodations. There was 6 of us and 4 of us stayed in a family room, while the other 2 stayed in a couple room. There was enough space for all our big luggages.
Both rooms were clean, neat and great. The views were amazing as well. We stayed in the winter, but the room heater was strong and the bed had a heating function too. The cleaner cleans the room everyday and tops up all the water, toothbrush etc.
The surrounding area near the homestay is good, with a tourist attraction just 5 minutes away on foot. It’s very easy to call a DiDi near the homestay, and it is located in a very convenient district.
The owners were very nice, they gave us fruits upon arrival and even topped up our rooms with water as the air was very dry. The owner even brought us to a nearby restaurant and the food was so good, my family and I went back twice.
Although there was no elevator, but the service was extremely good at the homestay and the owners helped us with all our baggages. As we are foreigners, the staff recommended food and visiting places in Dali, and went above and beyond by helping us to book a car for our day trip around Erhai Lake at a reasonable cost. Even after our stay, they helped us to charter a car to Lijiang as well.
I highly recommend this homestay. The experience I had during my time here has left a very positive experience on our trip to Yunnan. The owners are very friendly and are willing to help you with any queries you have. I will make sure to recommend this homestay to my acquaintances and if I ever visit Dali in the future I would definitely book this homestay again!

GGastgebruikerWe highly recommend this hotel. When we first arrived we were greeted by whom I presume to be the owner of the hotel. He helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. Understanding that we know limited Chinese, he took the time to slowly show us the features of the room - including an automated voice command tool and a projector for watching movies. He also learned we have an early check out and spent time using WeChat to share places where we can find breakfast early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it's specious, modern, and well equipped. The facilities are modern and very well-kept. The location is perfect for us - it's a short 5 minute walk from the main tourist area of Dali Old Town - this means the area had more locals, quieter, and more authentic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Dali.

YYuki Serene AngI had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights!
We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated.
One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions.
The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day.
The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination.
I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage.
Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers.

地理位置也非常方便：靠近苍山,三月街 ,大里古城，耳海，周围就是山景与湖景。我们特别喜欢每天清晨坐在顶楼阳台，吹着清凉的晨风，欣赏宁静的山景。马太太还推荐了几家美食，我们都吃得非常满意。
在这里，我们还遇到了来自法国的旅客，马家人通过翻译软件和他们沟通毫无障碍，可见他们接待国际旅客的经验十分丰富。我们也根据马先生的推荐去了丽江——是宽敞舒适的九座车，从民宿直接接送，非常方便。
我真心、强烈地推荐这家民宿给前来旅行的朋友们。我非常感谢他们在我们整个旅程中给予的善意与温暖，甚至直到离开的那一刻，马先生仍亲自帮我们搬运行李。

AAnonieme gebruikerHet verblijf was uitstekend. De butler nam een dag van tevoren contact met ons op om te vragen hoe we waren aangekomen en waar we met de taxi naartoe gingen. Op de dag van aankomst werden we persoonlijk opgehaald bij het afzetpunt. De kamer bood een prachtig uitzicht op zee, simpelweg door de gordijnen open te doen; het zonlicht dat op het Erhai-meer weerkaatste was adembenemend. De omgeving van het pension was fantastisch, met de promenade langs het Erhai-meer direct voor de deur, waardoor we gemakkelijk meeuwen en wilde eenden konden zien. De butler bracht ons ook vriendelijk naar het ophaalpunt bij het uitchecken. Een echte aanrader!

I had a very divided experience. My room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom large and hot water ample. The A/C worked fine. All good. But...
The rooms have essentially a wall of glass (big windows) facing the open hallways and the courtyard. This means any noise at all echoes up the stone walls of the courtyard and is not dampened at all. My room also lacked a desk and a chair, both of which I missed greatly. Finally, on one especially rainy night (rain being quite common in DaLi), I was awaken by staff pounding on my door: my room was flooding! Water in the open hallway was seeping under my door and onto my floor. I've never experienced the like. And since no luggage rack is provided, either, it was pure luck that my bags weren't soaked. This flooding must happen rather often, and is a serious design flaw.
Now, the owners were helpful and charming generally, providing our long-stay group free transport from the DaLI train station. And they keep a fleet of electric scooters that guests may borrow and use to get around. That was wonderful.
Finally, the Chunrili is not near much, and in particular, restaurants are rather rare in its neighborhood. Those that exist I would recommend, but more variety was wanted.

SSam AussiOur stay at this mini hotel near Erhai Lake was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The hospitality was outstanding, with the owner and their friends and family creating a beautiful evening gathering that we will never forget. The delicious noodles, fruits and the morning Pu'er tea were delightful touches that added to the overall experience.
The hotel itself is new and beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with the rich traditions of a courtyard setting. The rooms were immaculate, superbly clean, and very comfortable, equipped with everything a traveler could need. They even helped us park our car nearby, which was very convenient.
The star of it all was the wonderful lady owner. She was always ready to jump up and help with whatever we needed. We don't speak Chinese, but communication was easy using online translation. In the morning owner took us for a walk near Erhai Lake, which was a memorable highlight of our stay.
The location of the hotel is perfect, situated between the rice fields and the lake shore, just a one-minute walk to the boardwalk along the lake. We left feeling amazed and recharged, and we sincerely hope that our travels will bring us back to this wonderful hotel near Dali ancient city again.

Dit hostel overtrof echt de verwachtingen! De omgeving is fris en eenvoudig, het beddengoed is schoon en comfortabel en elk bed is voorzien van een gordijn en een kluisje, waardoor u zich helemaal veilig voelt. De openbare ruimte is ruim en licht, met boekenplanken, spelletjes en gratis thee. Hier kunt u 's avonds andere reizigers ontmoeten en gezellig kletsen. Het personeel is erg enthousiast en helpt je bij het plannen van routes, het ophalen van expresbestellingen en biedt zeer doordachte service tot in de kleinste details. De ligging is ook erg handig, een echte aanrader voor vrienden die alleen of met vrienden reizen!

De eigenaar hielp ons met het boeken van een auto naar Lijiang en raadde ons ook een aantal restaurants aan die we wilden proberen; de prijzen en het eten waren geweldig. Misschien omdat het laagseizoen was, liet de eigenaar ons zelfs de beschikbaarheid controleren voordat we besloten waar we zouden verblijven, wat erg attent was. Ik kom hier zeker weer terug de volgende keer dat ik kom.

I get free breakfast. They serve plain porridge with condiments, boiled egg,steam corn and sweet potatoes,bread and buns,fresh fruits and warm soy milk.The food is yummy and delicious.
Didi is available all the time and easy to assess from the hotel.You may also be greeted by fresh fruit sellers outside the hotel.We do buy some fresh grapes.
The hotel reception Ms Xiao Yang is very friendly and helpful.She helped to book Didi to Muslim restaurant for us.We also asked her for help to order a packed lunch because it was raining and we couldn't get out. Despite her work shift ending,she still waited for us to make sure we were safely back to the railway station. I hope her boss will recognise the hospitality she showed.
I recommend this hotel to tourists. You will not hear the noise outside the hotel during your stay.
Hopefully the management can put the hotel name signboard in english so it is easier for tourists to book Didi. Overall I was satisfied with the room and the warm hospitality the hotel provides.

GGastgebruikerWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
