Mengjing Yayuan Hotel (Dali Ancient City)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated, and our child really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space for our little one to relax and play, which made the room feel very comfortable for the whole family. We also loved the atmosphere of the hotel and its convenient location, with easy access to Dali Ancient Town. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing experience, and our child especially loved the room. We would definitely be happy to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mengjing Yayuan. For context, we usually stay at 5 star hotels when traveling internationally. The location of Mengjing Yayuan was hard to beat, as it is quite literally a block away from the entrance of Dali Ancient City and the reviews were great, so we decided to book. It is more of a boutique style hotel, but with very good management, facilities, and amenities. The air conditioning in our room was modern/updated and worked very well, which was great since that's not always the case in China. Communication with the front desk/reception was very easy through Wechat, and any requests were fulfilled very quickly and happily. I speak Chinese, but I don't think it would have been much of a problem if I didn't given the in-built translation on Wechat. They also provide a free laundry service, which was invaluable! Breakfast was simple, but delicious and filling. You choose a cooked noodle dish out of several options that's made fresh for you, and also have a buffet available, so there was something for even pickier eaters. Overall, lovely stay and we would totally come back for our next visit!

Had a wonderful time in the hotel. Its is very near (2 mins walk) to Dali Ancient City South gate. Exploring Dali Ancient city was walkable which made the location perfect. It was also quiet and peaceful staying in even though the road outside can get pretty hectic. Room was exactly as shown and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff was very attentive with your needs and always available for anything you need. Having tea and coffee available at the lobby 24hours was a nice touch! Hotel was very clean, nicely designed and decorated. Would definitely come back again when visiting Dali.

The location is ideal for exploring ancient town. The cab drops you right in front of the hotel. The staff was very cooperative and excellent. The hotel was neat and clean and the food was excellent. Definitely a must visit

The hotel is located very close to the ancient town. There are plenty of food from restaurants and street vendors. The room was very new, clean and bright. Great service from the staff also.

This hotel is a perfect location to explore the ancient city and vicinity. The hotel is clean, staff very helpful and welcoming and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended for convenience and hospitality.

The hotel offers a lot of services which add value to the stay experience. There were self-serve fresh coffee and a variety of herbs/ flower tea selection at the lobby, free laundry services, afternoon high tea and night dessert. We really appreciate passing our clothes which required laundry to the staff and return to collect freshly laundry clothes. The staff is reachable easily via WeChat. They also offer complimentary pick up from the train station. If I really have to pick on something - there is no view in the room I stayed in even though it was bright and spacious. Overall highly recommend a stay.

Very pleasant stay in Dali. The customer service team are extremely friendly and helpful. They make us have the “home sweet home” feeling. The location is strategic with walking distance to ancient city The hotel also very kind, the provided the complimentary transfer to train station. Will consider to stay here again 😊
