"The rooms and bedding are up to the usual Intercity standard, which is fine. However, the service was really poor. To be honest, I stayed for two nights; the first night was over 700 yuan, and the second was over 600 yuan. I understand it's a holiday, but for that price, I expect at least the same level of service as a normal season hotel like All Seasons or Crystal, which cost only 200-300 yuan. Instead, I paid that much and still had to put up with the front desk's attitude. I checked in on the afternoon of the 19th. The oldest lady at the front desk – why should I have to deal with her attitude when I'm paying to stay here? I had already specified in my booking not to have a room at either end of the hallway, but she assigned me one right next to the elevator. She told me it was an upgrade, and I initially agreed. But after being in the room for a minute, I was so worried about the noise that I went back down to tell her I didn't want the upgrade and preferred a standard room, as long as it wasn't at either end. Her face immediately dropped, and she started ignoring me, refusing to talk to me. She then had a younger girl help me. That's when I realized the room I originally booked wasn't available. After waiting a while, they finally found another room at the other end of the hall, at least not right next to the elevator. I just accepted it. The next night, she was on the night shift. They were all sitting there, laughing and chatting, I don't know what they were doing. I went over and asked if the bar's beer was drinkable. One staff member told me it was out of order, even though the day before, we both heard another guest being told it was fine to drink. I thought I'd just try it out once since I was checking out the next morning. It was very disappointing. I've stayed at Intercity hotels in other cities before, and the service was never like this. It's a holiday, and I understand you're busy. But I've paid good money, so why do I have to put up with your attitude? Oh, and when I checked out, another staff member took my room card without even looking up. She asked how my stay was, and I said it was okay. She just said 'good' and that was it, still without looking up. They didn't even offer a bottle of water, let alone a farewell. Oh, and the second day we went out, the cleaning staff who tidied our room didn't restock the drinks in the fridge. I called the front desk, and they said they'd bring them up. A little while later, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and said they forgot to put them in. Throughout all this, no one seemed apologetic, and I didn't even get an 'I'm sorry.' In the bathroom, the sensor light was full of dust, and there was something black on the round hole above the sink, I don't know what it was. I found it disgusting. I saw it as soon as I looked down and wiped it off myself."

Отель и ремонт новый, нет запаха сигарет, помещения вентилируются хорошо, мне это было особенно важно, так как я не переношу посторонние запахи. Отдельно отмечу расположение отеля: он находится в очень удобном месте, в старом городе Датуна, это туристический центр, все основные достопримечательности находятся рядом. Места удачнее и не придумать, ты сам будто живешь в старом Китае, потому что все здания оформлены в одном стиле. Такая атмосфера важна для туристов. В пешей доступности рестораны и кафе! Персонал очень отзывчивый, сервис выше всяких похвал, на ресепшен готовы и рады принимать иностранцев, что особенно радует. Они всегда помогут с выбором номера и по другим вопросам. Номер оказался очень светлым, атмосфера и стиль порадовали. Было очень чисто, одноразовые принадлежности положили даже больше, чем нужно. Также в номерах работает система «умный дом», что наверняка порадует китайских гостей. Честно говоря, на данный момент это мой самый удачный опыт как путешественника. Мы хотели романтики, хотели провести время в особенных декорациях, и все сложилось наилучшим образом. Я несомненно вернусь ещё! We stayed at this hotel for just one night, and I haven’t regretted my choice for a second! The hotel is brand new, with fresh renovations. There is absolutely no smell of cigarettes, and the rooms are well-ventilated. This was especially important to me. I must also highlight the location: it’s situated in a perfect spot in Datong’s Ancient City, right in the tourist center. All the main attractions are nearby. You couldn’t ask for a better location—it feels like you’re living in ancient China, as all the buildings share the same architectural style. This atmosphere is invaluable for tourists. Restaurants and cafes are within walking distance! The staff is incredibly responsive, and the service is beyond praise. The reception team is genuinely happy and ready to welcome international guests, which is particularly refreshing. They are always eager to help with room selection and any other questions. Our room was very bright, and the ambiance and style were delightful. It was spotlessly clean, and they even provided more complimentary amenities than necessary. Plus, the rooms feature a 'smart home' system, which will surely appeal to Chinese guests. Honestly, this is currently my best travel experience to date. We were looking for romance and a stay in unique surroundings, and everything turned out perfectly. I will definitely return!"

"‼️避雷！！！！！！避大雷！！！ 1. 服務態度不咋好 到民宿提供的導航附近 不太容易能找到 給民宿打電話 説不是給你們發找路的方式了嘛 態度很不耐煩 一直重複她的語氣 説了好幾次 2. 民宿沒有前台 衹有一個類似前台的茶室 也沒有固定的前台人員 你衹能加民宿微信 有什麼事衹能發微信 前台茶室還時不時關門（前台茶室跟民宿房間一樣 是防盜門 一關上門就是説明沒人在） 3. 酒店提供的物品也不全 第一天入住 毛巾衹有一套 手紙衹有一點 一個人都不夠用 就很無語 第二天我們要求下 才給配備好 等到第三天打掃衞生的時候 手紙還是沒配齊 我們還特意説明瞭按照第二天的標準來配齊....... 4. 我們住了三天 到第三天 洗手液沒了 洗髮水沐浴露也都是一點點 最後一天了 我們就沒計較 我就想問 是很缺嗎 怎麼什麼都配不齊呢 5. 枕頭！！！入住到第三天 發現枕頭背面有污漬！！！ 真的很膈應！！！"

"De kamer werd zeer goed schoongemaakt en de kamer werd elke dag op tijd schoongemaakt. Ze hebben ook een quilt voor ons toegevoegd. 's Avonds is er ook gratis welkomstfruit. We reden hierheen en de auto stond op de parkeerplaats geparkeerd en de bewaker zou helpen de auto schoon te vegen. We gingen naar beneden om boodschappen te doen en zagen toevallig dat onze auto werd schoongemaakt. Ik was toen echt ontroerd. Bedankt. Als je afhaalmaaltijden in je kamer bestelt, zal een kleine robot het boven bezorgen, wat heel schattig is. Voordat het hotel vertrok, presenteerde het hotel ook Datong-specialiteiten als geschenk, wat zeer bevredigend was. Ik zal hier weer verblijven de volgende keer dat ik naar Datong kom."

"Handen omlaag het beste en meest unieke hotel in Datong! Zelfs als we maar één nacht verbleven, hielpen ze ons op te halen, begeleidden ze ons naar onze auto en brachten ons persoonlijk naar de Main Street om ons uit te leggen hoe we moesten onderzoeken. Het ontbijt was ook heel eenvoudig en schoon met groente-ei en noodles die ik na vele olie maaltijden in China waardeerde. Highlight? Het thematisch hotel design dat u terugbrengt naar de dynastietijd! De hotelfaciliteiten waren ook geweldig met kleine en warmte. We voelden ons warm zelfs als buiten negatief is! 100%"

"An absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the Datong old town. The room I had was stunningly beautiful, and the services was top-rated. Everyone was so kind and accommodating: there was no breakfast menu as they offered to cook whatever I’d like to eat 😄. The free mini bar was pretty well-stocked with refreshing seabuckthorn juice and plum juice, amongst others, in addition to fresh fruits and a range of delicious local snacks in the room. There was also complimentary freshly-brewed coffee and herbal tea provided in the cozy reception area. I had a great time staying there and will certainly return next time I visit Datong again."

"the place was quite convenient. obviously for the price you’re paying u cant expect luxury but its really value for money. the place itself is comfortable the only bad thing is that the air con is not very cold. the projector is working fine tho. Maybe this place is more suitable for winter as they have many windows so it will feel much cooler during the winter but apart from the air conditioning, the place is really decent"

"Lovely little hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The shower and toilet were separated which made it much easier for us. Room was clean and well heated against the super cold weather. Good location in the old city. If the weather is good, you can hang out at the roof balcony in the evenings with an amazing view of a pagoda."

"This hotel is well managed and very clean for Chinese standards. The host was accommodating and kind. The interior is cosy and boutique. The toilets are annoying - they are electric and light up very much during the night. This is a problem since the bathroom door is see through. The toilets also make a lot of unnecessary sounds. There were a lot of amenities, but no cotton make up pads. The cats shouldn’t be allowed on the table, they looked way too comfortable there for me to fully enjoy my breakfast afterwards."
