"Nou, dit is een onlangs geopende homestay. Over het algemeen is het erg goed qua hygiëne, faciliteiten, omgeving en service. Hoewel de kamer niet groot is, zijn de badkamer en badruimte behoorlijk comfortabel. De kussens en het beddengoed zijn erg comfortabel. De vriendelijke winkelmanager is hartelijk en attent. Het voelt heel warm, als thuis.
Ik geef de locatie van het hotel een dikke pluim. De geografische ligging is vlakbij de zuidelijke poort van de oude stadsmuur (Yongtai Gate) (zie de foto hieronder). Het is 10 minuten lopen naar de Shanhua Tempel, de Negen Draken Muur, de Trommeltoren van de Confucianistische Tempel, enz. Het is ook meer dan 10 minuten lopen, maar in verschillende richtingen, wat betekent dat het hotel zich midden in de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden bevindt. De Huayan Tempel is een beetje ver weg. Een taxi kost ongeveer 7-8 yuan. Kortom, het is erg gemakkelijk om overal naartoe te gaan. Het hangt af van je fysieke kracht. Als je fysiek sterk bent, kun je erheen lopen, wat ongeveer 20 minuten duurt. Een taxirit vanaf de hogesnelheidslijn en het Datong Museum kost ongeveer 15 yuan. Het is aan te raden om vanaf de hogesnelheidslijn naar het hotel te komen, en eerst naar het museum te gaan en dan naar het hotel.
Laten we het over het ontbijt hebben. Het is gemiddeld, de gierstpap is goed, en het negenhoekige rooster is prima voor een dag, zie de volgende foto's (2, 3)."

However, there are no fridge, nor save box in the room; kettle, tea, coffee provided. Love breakfast with a variety of choice, both western and Asian styles, especially the dinner buffet (158 yuan) is amazing; well done chefs! We love a lot of things about this hotel apart from the “shower tickets”; this should be clarified in the hotel’s policy that this ticket is just a discount coupon for using Spa. We thought this is for swimming pool. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel and lucky to visit the Buddha caves and the flying temple in one day. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller in Datong."

"De kamer is zeer schoon en wordt geleverd met wegwerpbadhanddoeken, tandheelkundige kopjes, enz. Het is echt veilig om in te wonen voor iemand die germafoob is zoals wij. De cabine beschikt over een lift, waardoor u gemakkelijk bagage kunt verplaatsen. De service is zeer attent en de baas is erg enthousiast. Je voelt je er thuis, wat geweldig is. Ik wil vooral wijzen op het ontbijt in de B&B. De geschoren noedels gemaakt door de chef-kok zijn echt de lekkerste die ik in Datong heb gegeten, ik vind ze persoonlijk heerlijker dan die in Xijin Road hahahaha"

Allereerst onze diepste dankbaarheid aan Yang wen yuan - 杨文元.
Toen we vanuit Europa boekten, wisten we niet goed hoeveel tijd we nodig hadden om bij de grotten en het hangende klooster te komen (een must om te zien als je in Datong bent).
We dachten dat we door gebruik te maken van het openbaar vervoer beide in korte tijd konden doen. Zo fout!
We kwamen aan en Yang wen yuan - 杨文元 stelde ons gerust en in minder dan 30 minuten kon hij ons helpen en een privéauto voor de volgende dag voor ons boeken. Hij maakte ons verblijf onvergetelijk. Heel erg bedankt namens ons allebei als je dit leest!
Bovendien is dit hotel geweldig: supernieuw, technologisch en het personeel is supervriendelijk (van degenen in de lobby tot die in het restaurant/cafetaria). Het ontbijt is geweldig. Je kunt alles krijgen, vers voor je gemaakt."

"De antieke stijl is zeer schoon en de locatie is zeer goed. Het is handig om naar de Huayan-tempel en de stadspoort te gaan om de lantaarns te zien, Zini 369, enz. Beneden ligt Jinxi Road, die op loopafstand ligt. Het ontbijt in de herberg is bijzonder heerlijk, vooral de pannenkoeken en haggis. Een speciaal bedankje. Het sneeuwde in de ochtend toen we vertrokken. Nadat we vroeg waren vertrokken, was de snelweg afgesloten en was de ingang lange tijd geblokkeerd. We hebben niet ontbeten en stonden lange tijd in de file. De volwassenen en de kinderen waren erg hongerig en moe, dus moesten we terug naar de herberg om te eten. We vertrokken na het ontbijt en de baas was erg vriendelijk en ontving ons weer. Bedankt, het was geweldig. Ik zal hier de volgende keer weer verblijven keer dat ik naar Datong kom?"

"The b&b is located at the edge of the datong ancient wall. It is a little further from all the hustle and bustle but still convenient enough to get around.
The service is impeccable!! We were warmly welcomed by the staff. They brought our heavy luggage up to our room and helped us with anything we needed.
The b&b is new and clean! The room is also pretty spacious. The toilet seat is heated which was super nice (it was cold out when we visited). They provide basic amenities. The drinks in the fridge are also complimentary. They’re also able to cater to our dietary restrictions for breakfast (vegetarian-friendly).

No. 3 of Instagrammable Hotels in Shanxi"Dit was de eerste keer dat ik in dit buffetrestaurant heb gegeten en ik was enorm onder de indruk van de attente service van de obers! Van de enthousiaste begeleiding bij de deur tot de nauwkeurige verzorging tijdens de maaltijd: alle personeelsleden straalden professionaliteit en warmte uit.
Ik wil graag een speciaal compliment geven aan de twee obers. Zij hadden altijd een glimlach op hun gezicht, namen het initiatief om te helpen met het verschonen van de borden, ruimden de tafel af en herinnerden ons er vriendelijk aan als de gerechten werden vervangen. Zelfs als er tijdens drukke eetmomenten veel mensen zijn, blijven ze geduldig en attent. Ze besteden altijd aandacht aan de behoeften van de klanten en zorgen er nooit voor dat de kwaliteit van de service afneemt vanwege de drukte.
Het restaurant heeft een uitgebreide menukaart, maar wat mij het meeste heeft geïmponeerd, is de onvoorwaardelijke medewerking van het hele serviceteam. De maaltijden worden snel aangevuld, de omgeving is schoon en de sfeer is ontspannen en warm. De obers zijn niet alleen efficiënt en professioneel, maar zorgen er ook voor dat elke gast zich gewaardeerd en gelukkig voelt. Dit soort service attitude voegt echt veel toe aan de eetervaring. Ik kom zeker de volgende keer weer!"

"Any Inn was mijn eerste accommodatie tijdens mijn reis naar Shanxi. Het was bijna tien uur 's avonds toen ik aankwam in de herberg. Ik was al erg moe, maar toen ik de herberg binnenkwam, werd ik hartelijk ontvangen door de baas en de hospita zorgde ervoor dat ik me minder moe en ontspannen voelde. Het gevoel van thuiskomen is heel huiselijk. Omdat het buiten het seizoen was, waren er relatief weinig toeristen in de hele oude stad. De hospita heeft mijn kamer genereus geüpgraded naar een suite met een balkon. Ik vond vooral de inrichting van de herberg leuk, die antiek en schoon was. De herberg ligt tegenover de Huayan-tempel. Het is 200 meter lopen naar de Huayan-tempel en meer dan 100 meter naar het busstation van de Huayan-tempel. Het is ook heel dicht bij de westelijke poort van de oude stad, wat erg handig is. Ik moest de volgende ochtend vroeg de sneltrein naar de schilderachtige plek nemen. Omdat het weer begon af te koelen, reed de hospita me speciaal vroeg in de ochtend naar het Heyangmen-plein om de sneltrein naar de schilderachtige plek te nemen. Daarnaast gaf de vrouwelijke baas me ook fruit, kookte noedels en liet me een kom proberen. Het voelde echt als thuis. Renyi Inn heeft een zeer goede indruk op mij achtergelaten in Datong. Ik zal hier zeker weer kiezen de volgende keer dat ik de kans krijg om terug te keren naar Datong."

"A very good home stay/hotel that I highly recommend for anyone who travel to Datong. It’s at the entrance of the Datong Ancient City, very convenient to walk around for shops and restaurants. The hotel staffs and owner are very friendly to accommodate our needs. Lift is available and good for family with elderly. The pick up and drop off service to stations are the best!
There are some problems on the bed sizes when we checked in but the owner resolve in a friendly way. Highly recommended for a special stay!"
