"1 Het is absoluut een nieuwe B&B, de kamer is groot en de indeling is redelijk. 2. Qua software zijn badhanddoeken en handdoeken wegwerpbaar en dun, waardoor ik er nog meer spijt van heb dat ik niet voor een hostel moet kiezen. Het geluidsisolerende effect is niet goed, je kunt altijd het ding-dong van de lift horen, het geluid van lopen en het geluid van rennende kinderen. Er schuilen verborgen gevaren in de stroomvoorziening. Ik weet niet hoe laat het is in de vroege ochtend. Ik hoor herhaaldelijk de stroomvoorziening van de boiler starten en het lampje knipperen. Een ander ding is om van tevoren een hotel te kiezen. De algehele accommodatieomgeving wordt verzorgd door de winkel en andere diensten worden niet geëvalueerd."

"This hotel is located in the heart of the ancient city of Datong. Although there were few steps of staircase leading to the entrance of the hotel and the reception was on level 2 and our room type was only available on the 3rd level. Upon check in the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo was very helpful and she helped us to carry our luggages to our room at level 3.. There was a small window in our room overseeing the street. The room was spacious and very clean. All corners, fixtures and furnitures in our room were wiped very clean. All amenities were provided inside the room too. The bed mattress and pillow were soft and very comfortable. Body gel, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hand wash and clothing detergent were all good quality. 2 water bottles, toothbrush, hair comb and slippers were provided in the room. There were space to hang our winter clothing and also washed socks and inner wears. The air-conditioner was superb as it can be adjusted to 4 types of air:normal, wet reduction, cold air and warm air, hence it made our stay more comfortable. There was also an air freshener machine in the room to refresh the air inside the room. So far this is the cleanest hotel room throughout all my China trips. The housekeeper was friendly and ensure the room being cleaned up daily. Overall, I would like to compliment the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo for her hospitality and kindness in helping us when we asked her for any information about Datong and places to eat. Xiao Guo always smilling and her warmness has let us felt very welcomed as a hotel guest. Another compliment was to be given to the housekeeper old lady who really did a great job to ensure the cleanliness of our hotel room and the entire hotel public areas. Highly recommended this hotel to all tourist."

"Incredible! The only minus is that it is not centrally located, so you'll have to take the taxi to the center (Old city), but it is in a lively neighbourhood. When you enter the building and see the elevator, you might have second thoughts for a moment (😉), but then...the ROOM! Huge, extra clean, ultra modern with brand new amenities, everything controlled at a touch of a button...Staff is very welcoming and attentive too. We loved it and couldn't recommend it more! Note: for some strange reason, the exact name of the hotel is Karen Boman hotel not the Sheng Gloria plaza (check building photo), so don't be confused when you get to the address. The entrance is on the right side of the building."

"Het schoonste hostel waar ik ooit geweest ben! En echt geweldige service. Super verwelkomende, behulpzame en gastvrije host waarmee we ondanks de taalbarrière heel goed contact hebben gehad. Zijn hulp bij het organiseren van ons bezoek aan de Yungan grotten en de hangede tempel waren erg fijn en ook behandelde hij ons echt als gasten in zijn eigen stad."
