"This hotel is truly excellent! It's super new, and all the facilities are fantastic. I booked a king room with a terrace, and the small terrace was incredibly comfortable and quiet at night. From the professional and polite driver who picked me up to the front desk service, everyone was wonderful. Even though it wasn't my first time visiting Datong, the warm and welcoming people here are the main reason I'd keep coming back. The location, needless to say, is top-notch. I was originally considering booking a room at [redacted mountain hotel], but I'm so glad I made a much better choice here. The breakfast was also incredibly delicious! The 'dao xiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) – with genuinely high-quality pork – and the lamb offal soup were even better than what you'd find outside. (The ones outside are often too salty, to the point where I thought I couldn't handle Datong's lamb offal soup.) I devoured two bowls! While the breakfast spread wasn't huge, everything was truly exquisite. Even the coffee tasted good, indicating quality beans. The chefs were also very kind, and their culinary skills were amazing! Sometimes, you really don't need to chase after '网红店' (internet-famous eateries); what the hotel offers is superior. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the swimming pool because I was rushing to a scenic spot. It's surprising that such a small hotel/guesthouse even has a pool! Next time, I definitely need to stay for a few more days to enjoy it. Finally, as someone who is quite a germaphobe and has never stayed in a guesthouse before, this new hotel/guesthouse really met my standards. Highly recommended. The off-season price is also quite reasonable."

Het hotel biedt ook veel gratis drankjes aan. Als het niet genoeg is, maken ze dat goed. De bedden worden opgemaakt. De fruit- en handgeschilderde schilderijen zijn erg warm. Er zijn ook veel parkeerplaatsen. Alleen wordt het opsluitingscentrum ernaast gerenoveerd, waardoor het wat lawaaierig is. Maar over het algemeen is het prima en het ligt dicht bij de oude stad. Trouwens, staat er in Datong geen verkeersbord met de tekst: Voetgangers krijgen een boete van 5 yuan als ze door rood rijden en elektrische voertuigen krijgen een boete van 20 yuan als ze de regels overtreden? Er zijn zoveel mensen en elektrische voertuigen die zich niet aan de verkeersregels houden, maar er zijn geen boetes. Vrienden die rijden, moeten oppassen."

Van de enthousiaste begeleiding bij de deur tot de nauwkeurige verzorging tijdens de maaltijd: alle personeelsleden straalden professionaliteit en warmte uit. Ik wil graag een speciaal compliment geven aan de twee obers. Zij hadden altijd een glimlach op hun gezicht, namen het initiatief om te helpen met het verschonen van de borden, ruimden de tafel af en herinnerden ons er vriendelijk aan als de gerechten werden vervangen. Zelfs als er tijdens drukke eetmomenten veel mensen zijn, blijven ze geduldig en attent. "Het hotel ligt op een geweldige locatie, in het stadscentrum, in een nette omgeving en in overzichtelijke woonwijken. Het ligt heel dicht bij de oude stad en het bestuur van het district Pingcheng, met goede openbare veiligheid en nette straten. Ruime parkeergelegenheid. De maaltijden zijn betaalbaar, het ontbijt is uitgebreid en in het hotel kunt u speciale snacks nuttigen. Volgende keer kies ik voor het VIP-gebouw. "Let's start with the positives: 1. The room was spacious. 2. The staff provided excellent service. 3. The breakfast was delicious, even though the variety wasn't extensive, the quality made up for it. Now for the negatives: 1. The room facilities were far from what you'd expect from a five-star or luxury hotel. The soundproofing was incredibly poor; we could clearly hear the water running from upstairs and doors opening and closing next door. We stayed in the main building, so I'm not sure if the villa area would be any better. 2. This hotel allows pets. Unfortunately, there was a dog barking continuously at 11 PM and again at 7 AM. Despite contacting the front desk, nothing changed. I don't quite understand the hotel's positioning – they claim to be a secluded, '人间桃花源' (a tranquil haven), emphasizing peace and quiet. Yet, it turned out to be the noisiest five-star hotel I've ever stayed in. Imagine wanting to sleep in after a hot spring bath the day before – it would be incredibly frustrating. 3. The hotel's location is very remote. It's almost impossible to get a taxi from the hotel, so guests should plan their transportation carefully. In summary: I won't be returning. The experience was very disappointing. The only reason for the given score is the excellent service from the staff and the nearby hot spring experience. Of course, the hot spring isn't included in the hotel stay and requires a separate ticket purchase."
