Had an amazing stay at Chalet Ivy, a new modern ryokan with traditional feels. The room is very spacious with comfortable modern amenities, with an in-room private onsen, with unobstructed snow covered views. Dinner and breakfast here are one of the best, the sequencing of dishes and the amount are just right. Your get to explore various dishes and each dishes are so meticulously done. One of the best perks here are the lounge, the snack bar and drinks bar are awesome. Stocks with best Sapporo snack and drinks for you to grab at any time. Definitely one of the best resort ever, will return for sure.

The feeling of soaking in the hot spring is really extremely comfortable and pleasant. However, the chair that is directly facing the window really makes people feel extremely uncomfortable. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall. 2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night. 3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here. 4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.

I loved Nukumori No Yado Furukawa! I was an American solo traveler, but my wife is Japanese (we have 2 boys), so I am very familiar with Japanese culture. I wanted to go to a place that Japanese people would love, not a tourist-focused place. From the moment I entered, the service was excellent. I was greeted, checked in quickly, then accompanied to my room for explanations of how everything operates. My room was very comfortable. The facilities, including bath area, foot soaking areas, lobby, lounges, etc. - were all clean and comfortable. The lounge next to the lobby was a cozy place to relax, and most of the lounges included food and drink during at least some point of the day. I visited in mid-October so the leaves were changing color and the temperature outside was crisp but not too cold. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. I hope to return again with the rest of my family. Highly recommended!

I chose this hotel specifically for its private bath, only to discover that reservations must be made 2-3 months in advance via email/phone call. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus from Sapporo city, which typically takes about an hour, but you also need to book that at least a month in advance, according to various bloggers. It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. The frustrating part is that you wouldn’t know the advance booking requirement when you make a reservation through Trip.com or similar platforms. Amazing hotel. Close to the TV tower and the park. The train station is also not far away. It's convenient for when you have to walk with your luggage in the snow. Relaxing hot bath. Lavish breakfast with a lot of options. Outstanding service. The only complaint is that the laundry service was closed for the holidays and there is no self service laundry in the hotel. The closest one was 20 minutes away.

I really love this hotel, near food places and the train station. What more is the hotel is very spacious! Would recommend this to everyone if they love it further away from town area

The location is within easy walking distance of major attractions, subway lines, and great restaurants. The bed was incredibly comfortable,fantastic night's sleep every single night. Best of all, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

Mooi gerenoveerd hotel. Helaas is het personeel nieuw en verrassend genoeg spreken niet veel receptionisten Engels. Het ontbijt was goed met veel keuze. We konden echter meestal niet ontbijten omdat mijn familie vroeg op pad moest voor activiteiten zoals skiën en lokale excursies. Het personeel van het café stond ons toe om voor openingstijd te ontbijten, maar op een ochtend kwam er een Engelssprekende dame in een jas aan die ons tegenhield. Ze was erg onbeleefd en zei dat we tot 6:30 uur moesten wachten voordat we het eten mochten aanraken! Ik snap niet waarom we niet konden beginnen met de ontbijtgranen die al klaarstonden. Ik zou er zeker nog eens verblijven, want het hotel is nieuw, de kamers zijn groot en de onsen is schoon en comfortabel. Er was ook een fitnessruimte en een wasserette.

学会があったのでいく用事あったが、子供にも楽しい思い出をと思ってプールがあるここに子供連れて泊まりました。 朝のブッフェも美味しかった。ウォータースライダー2本やってないから週末のウォータースライダー毎日今月だけらしい。なくても21:00までプールで遊べてその後温泉でゆったりでした。
