Had an amazing stay at Chalet Ivy, a new modern ryokan with traditional feels. The room is very spacious with comfortable modern amenities, with an in-room private onsen, with unobstructed snow covered views. Dinner and breakfast here are one of the best, the sequencing of dishes and the amount are just right. Your get to explore various dishes and each dishes are so meticulously done. One of the best perks here are the lounge, the snack bar and drinks bar are awesome. Stocks with best Sapporo snack and drinks for you to grab at any time. Definitely one of the best resort ever, will return for sure.

After spending six days in MGallery Hotel Sapporo, I can safely say this is not an ordinary hotel. Reception at 5 pm was professional, efficient and friendly. I didn’t have to wait. Well done. Takako and Cindy provided a warm, informative and professional service. The concierge was helpful and welcoming. Very useful in a freezing outdoor climate - thank you Alex.  My room was as requested, 524. I booked a king room and it met my expectations. The design is lovely.  The bathroom is not huge, but is well appointed with a bath and a separate shower. The room is very quiet and I had a very pleasant sleeping experience.  The hotel and my room are in excellent condition, with a high standard of decor and presentation. Clearly recently renovated. The design is first class. It combines a beautiful Japanese style, with classical and traditional designs. The result is very pleasant - Chic! WiFi worked well. The room airconditioning was a little too hot for me, so I turned it off, and that was fine for me. The two guest’s lifts are fast and worked well over the six floors.  House keeping is also of a high standard as you would expect from a high end Accor hotel. This is especially so in Japan where service is an art form.  I had access to the executive lounge.  It was a good experience. It provides a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, and the food quality is nice. The chefs are friendly and caring, thank you James. The lounge staff are first class. Thank you very much to Yokiku, Kaumini and chief Minoru for your attentive and excellent service. I appreciated your kind service.  The only negative I am sorry to say is the occasional noisy foreigners who don’t appreciate the quiet, polite, refined and subtle Japanese culture.  The location is convenient, and is about 15 minutes easy walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc, but rather the city landscape. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to a variety of wonderful shopping areas.  Additionally, there are major shopping malls in the Shinkansen station area. Nearby, you can find many restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food.  Taxies are available at the hotel entrance. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples, museums and regional attractions. Ms Takako provided excellent suggestions.  To be fair, I read the Hotel’s web reviews. I noticed that the negative comments were from years ago, before the hotel became an Accor hotel two years ago. I noticed most of the more recent reviews are positive.  A special thank you to all the other warm staff for their excellent and polite hospitality. Having experienced hotels in every continent, this one stands out. The service and attention to detail is in a class of its own. Clearly, this is a special Hotel - undoubtedly, due to the hotel’s leadership.   Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the General Manager, Mr Ted Kitahara, and his management team. Mr Ted introduced himself to me by chance. He made me feel very welcome, and was most kind to enlighten me about the hotel’s design and its interesting history. I hope to meet the Japanese architect one day! Overall, an extremely pleasant and first-class experience. I look forward to visiting again.  Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Reisde met een groep van 3 volwassenen en vond het moeilijk om een kamer te vinden met een redelijke prijs. Ik heb gemaild en besefte dat ze open zijn voor 3 gasten zolang u extra prijs (5,500/night) voor een bankbed dat redelijk was. Ik heb het verblijf genoten, vooral de onsenfaciliteit. Ik zal zeker terugkomen!

Overall it was a solid choice, especially if convenience is your top priority. Pros: • Super friendly and helpful staff – they made check-in smooth and were always smiling. • Loved the free welcome drink (choice of wine or sake) – nice touch upon arrival. • Free drinks available 24/7 in the lobby – very handy. • Extremely convenient location right next to subway and train station – easy to get around. • Multiple restaurants and a convenience store right downstairs – perfect for quick meals or snacks without going far. Cons: • The room layout feels a bit strange/awkward (odd shape and angles). • Once you open your suitcase, there’s hardly any floor space left to move around comfortably. • The room wasn’t very clean – noticed some dust and spots that could have been better maintained.

房間超大，有室內浸浴，景觀一流，設施齊備，若住Executive Suit,可以免費享用lounge 內小食和飲品，酒也是無限飲用。自助餐食物美味，款式多。娛樂設施有驚喜，有乒乓球打，有夾公仔機，可以打機，是迷利版的Gigo。商店購物種類多，有好小朋友玩具賣。露天風呂看到雪山景，體驗到一邊浸温泉，一邊大風雪吹在面上。就算不是露天，室內的風呂也有好美的雪山景觀看。有穿梭巴士送到札幌，非常好。雖然房價不便宜，但物有所值。

I really love this hotel, near food places and the train station. What more is the hotel is very spacious! Would recommend this to everyone if they love it further away from town area

Very convenient location, especially during snowy weather. The hotel is right outside JR Sapporo Station, to use the West Gate and then the South Exit. The staff are very professional and friendly. When I arrived early, they checked room availability and provided early check-in. The room was very clean too.

Mooi gerenoveerd hotel. Helaas is het personeel nieuw en verrassend genoeg spreken niet veel receptionisten Engels. Het ontbijt was goed met veel keuze. We konden echter meestal niet ontbijten omdat mijn familie vroeg op pad moest voor activiteiten zoals skiën en lokale excursies. Het personeel van het café stond ons toe om voor openingstijd te ontbijten, maar op een ochtend kwam er een Engelssprekende dame in een jas aan die ons tegenhield. Ze was erg onbeleefd en zei dat we tot 6:30 uur moesten wachten voordat we het eten mochten aanraken! Ik snap niet waarom we niet konden beginnen met de ontbijtgranen die al klaarstonden. Ik zou er zeker nog eens verblijven, want het hotel is nieuw, de kamers zijn groot en de onsen is schoon en comfortabel. Er was ook een fitnessruimte en een wasserette.

The room size although quite tight for 2 people but nevertheless it is comfortable. The room amenities was quite good too. The staff was helpful during my stay there and although the hotel didn’t provide any airport transfer service, but you may ask the front lobby to book your taxi. The best things was the hotel provide a luggage storage services. The location wise although not that close, but it’s quite convenient, a 6-7 minutes walk to the nearest station and 4 minutes walk to the tram.

Ik woonde vroeger in de JR-wijk in Sapporo. Ik had het idee dat Tanukikoji een puur toeristisch gebied was en dat het niet zo handig was om je er te verplaatsen. De prijzen voor accommodatie in Sapporo zijn deze winter belachelijk gestegen. Gelukkig had ik dit hotel als reserve geboekt. Afgezien van de onhandige locatie overtrof alles mijn verwachtingen! Hun beddengoed is veruit het meest comfortabel! Heerlijk geslapen! Het eenpersoonsbed dat ik had geboekt, werd bij het inchecken toegewezen aan een kamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden. De kamer en badkamer waren ruim genoeg, en de badkamer was gescheiden in een droog en nat gedeelte, wat erg handig was! Zij zullen ook het initiatief nemen om de kamer schoon te maken. Een ander punt is dat Ichigen heel gemakkelijk te bereiken is. Als je graag in de buurt van Tanukikoji woont, dan raad ik je deze plek ten zeerste aan!
