"We had a great stay at Smile Hotel Sapporo. The location is excellent. It is close to entertainment areas, with easy access to the bus stop and subway station. The airport bus stop is also very close, just about a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The staff were nice and helpful, and the free amenities for guests were a nice bonus. The only thing I’d suggest is having a free water refill available. Overall, I love Japan, and you really can’t go wrong staying here."

Het was er rustig ondanks de nabijheid van Susukino, en er was een supermarkt in de buurt, dus ik kon het avondeten laten staan en naar huis gaan, wat fijn was. Ik weet niet zeker of het de gang was, maar er waren luide of hoge stemmen, vooral van vrouwen, in de kamer te horen, wat een beetje irritant was."

GGastgebruikerA very comfortable stay. I was in a Single Rm on d 13th flr. Super quiet at the end of the hallway. Window facing another building wall, no view. Comfortable bed and PJ set. No daily housekeeping provided but they'd leave a bag of towel, new PJ set and stuffs hanging on your door in the morning. Early check-in would cost 1000¥ per hour till the official 3【pm check-in time. I opt to leave my luggage in their storage rm, after I checked in around 4:30p, my bags already in my rm. Professional and polite staffs in general. I took the airport bus, but on my day of arrival, bus companies not dropping off passengers infront of the hotel due to severe snowstorm 2 days prior. And they also not picking up infront of d hotel on the wkend and final day of d Sapporo Winter Festival. Nearest airport bus stop would be Odori Park or Grand Sapporo Hotel. It's about less than 10mins walk. If it's during winter with snow on d ground, the Grand Sapporo Hotel bus stop would actually be a better route. I took the Odori Park route and was a bit tedious. Hotel is attentive to amenities details eg: charging cables of different ports ( type-C, Apple, usb-A etc...) available in the rm; utensils available at each floor's elevator lobby, free tea/coffee and extra toiletries at Lobby. Coin laundry(cash only) is 300¥ for each load of washing ( laundry detergent will automatically add in) and 100¥ for 30mins dry. Coin exchange avail at Check-in desk. Great location to Odori Park just across the street and plenty of choices for food + shopping. Rm facing the park during Winter Festival might be noisy due to stage performances and safety announcements or whatnot from the megaphone. Loves the onsen; Female and male has each of their own sections. Closed for cleaning 10a-2p daily, but daily operation is 2p-2a. Delicious mini fruit popsicles/ ice cream available to onsen users. No mini-fridge nor microwave in the rm. Breakfast buffet cost 2300¥/pax with mostly cold dishes, hot food only a handful of choices - wished could be more though; but they do serve wine (red+ white). Will stay again.

GGastgebruikerThe location of this hotel is excellent, being so close to the Susukino Metro station. You can walk to Nikka Whisky in just 5 minutes and Ganso Sapporo Ramen Yokocho in 10 minutes. The hotel is brand new, modern, and very clean. They even provide homemade cookies for guests, which are delicious!

SShin AlterAs with the other reviews here. Their location is everything. The airport limousine bus stops extremely close by this hotel. Just few mins walk to reach. Further, this hotel connects directly underground to Pole Town shopping and the subway (Namboku line), traveling around is extremely convenient; few hotels that are so strategically located as this one! Plenty of food and konbini options (Seicomart right next door) around as well because this hotel is right outside Tanukikoji shopping street. There are also McD and MOS burgers nearby.
Something I don't like is the room they gave me is on the lowest floor, even when I requested a high floor very early on. The walking traffic light chirping sound outside is very loud and I can hear it in the room (thankfully it was off during sleeping time). As for the staff, there is a mix of foreigners (some Nepalese and Thai) and Japanese local, all of which are very helpful.
Although they said housekeeping only every 7 days, but they collected the trash and change towels daily; even made up our bed, i think the only thing they didn't do is change your bedsheets everyday. Twin room is quite spacious for 2 person, we can open up our luggage no problem.
Express check out available just drop your key inside the lift.
Overall I'm very happy and it's a pleasant experience! (except for the loud traffic bird sound)

CCasual travellerWell this is my fifth time staying in this hotel (7 nights stay for this visit), i love the location and the breakfast, including the helpful front desk staff, however 1 thing i noticed that requires improvement is the housekeeping crew. The bins are placed properly and toilet paper roll is left on the floor inside the bedroom, also that the dust needs to be cleaned right? We have only requested for 3 room make-up services as part of the effort to go green, yet the service provided is far from expectation comparing to all my previous stay in this hotel. Kindly work on that as improvement.

The staff was helpful during my stay there and although the hotel didn’t provide any airport transfer service, but you may ask the front lobby to book your taxi. The best things was the hotel provide a luggage storage services. The location wise although not that close, but it’s quite convenient, a 6-7 minutes walk to the nearest station and 4 minutes walk to the tram.

MmomoyeoHotel looks brand new, dimmer for bed room lights and bathroom lights were nice touches. It's a walk from sapporo station but all underground so in winter or rain it is not a big deal. Exit at a lift on the left after miredo. You should pass a montbell store on the right. Some renovation going on so Exit 7 was not available. If you were taking the Chuo bus to Niseko the stop at Sapporo Grand Hotel is nearest and just a stone throw away. Rooms are Japanese petite. Also a short 15 mins walk to Odori station.

JJetarinOverall, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel offers great value for money, with a good balance of comfort and price. The location is excellent—convenient and easy to get around, especially in the Susukino area.
The onsen was a big plus. It was clean, relaxing, and not crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Housekeeping is provided every three days, which was not an issue for me. However, I wish the trash in the room had been collected daily. Leaving garbage in the room for several days felt a bit unhygienic and could be improved.
Aside from that, everything was well-managed, and I would still recommend this hotel for its location, onsen, and overall value.
