It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. "Stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really positive experience.
The location is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk to both the train station and MTR, which made getting around effortless. There are plenty of convenience stores right nearby.
The hotel has a nice quiet vibe, which was perfect after busy days out exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The room itself was a standout, surprisingly big and spacious by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, and there was still plenty of floor space even after we opened two large suitcases (something that’s almost impossible in most other compact hotels in Japan).
The only downside was the bedding. The duvet (?) was way too thick and heavy for my liking. It made the bed feel quite hot at night, and I ended up sweating a lot despite the AC.
Otherwise, this place was near perfect. Would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you’re okay with cranking the AC lower. Solid choice!"

"We loved staying here and the surprise upgrade we received was unexpected and much appreciated. The room was spotless and well thought out. Service was friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was fantastic with some local options and a wide range of western and Asian offerings. The price we paid was very fair for the room we stayed in and I would stay here again in a heart beat and would recommend."

The environment of the hotel can be described as extremely pleasant, and the service is also extremely thoughtful and considerate. The room is even more magnificent and exquisitely beautiful. The feeling of soaking in the hot spring is really extremely comfortable and pleasant. However, the chair that is directly facing the window really makes people feel extremely uncomfortable. It is really stiff, and the back of the chair is pitifully short, and it simply cannot give the due support to the head and neck.

stayed here for two days ，the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you.
1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall.
2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night.
3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here.
4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.

Reisde met een groep van 3 volwassenen en vond het moeilijk om een kamer te vinden met een redelijke prijs. Ik heb gemaild en besefte dat ze open zijn voor 3 gasten zolang u extra prijs (5,500/night) voor een bankbed dat redelijk was.
Ik heb het verblijf genoten, vooral de onsenfaciliteit. Ik zal zeker terugkomen!

Right outside the hotel there is a bus stop and access to the property is convenient (but I drive from Sapporo anyway). The room overall condition met expectation although I am quite disappointed that they only assign me to the second floor, and literally people from outside can see me if I don’t lower the blinds.
There are 4 solo onsen rooms available for private use and it is recommended that the usage time stays at 40 mins.
For the onsen, the public one is good although it is relatively small, and can be crowded sometimes.
Overall, you come to Jozankei because you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and I enjoy my time there. But consider how much I pay for the room and board with virtually no view, there are plenty options out there that could get the most bang from the bucks.
Verdict: Nice ambience but not worth for money

The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room)
The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service).
Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront)
The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.

I stayed here for five days and four nights. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The mountain view from the window was breathtaking. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located right next to the famous Nakajima Park, and the snowy scenery there was absolutely beautiful. It’s also very close to the Nakajima Koen subway station, which made getting around easy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic! The location is very convenient, with a tram stop and a convenience store just nearby. Getting around is easy, and they even provide a free shuttle to Sapporo Station, which was a lifesaver, dragging suitcases in the snow is no fun at all. It’s also super easy to get to the airport, as the airport limousine stop is right in front of the hotel. Overall, a superb choice for anyone visiting Sapporo!

I had a very pleasant stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the lobby area is stunning — modern, stylish, and a great spot to unwind. One of the highlights was definitely the complimentary afternoon beer and snacks, which made the experience feel extra special.
That said, the hotel doesn’t offer many facilities beyond the basics — no swimming pool, gym, sauna, or onsen — so if you’re expecting resort-style amenities, you may find it a bit limited and even slightly boring.
Overall, it’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a central location, comfortable rooms, and great service, but more for relaxation and convenience rather than full leisure facilities.
