Amazing little hotel few mins walk from train station and short walk into Newquay town, close to all amenities; friendly front desk staff easy quick check in process and helpful with our luggage! Bougie chic room and the decorative style of hotel was very chic and upmarket would definitely recommend 💯

The location is perfect

Een gemengde ervaring. We boeken voor de zwembadfaciliteiten, die geweldig waren. We eten in het restaurant op onze eerste avond - uitstekende voedsel en zeer goede service. Het ontbijt was ook goed. Echter, sommige buts. Ons kamer had een zeer onaangename bed, een vreemd elektrisch licht show van sommige apparaten in het dak zodra we de lichten uitschakelen en een herhaalde elektrische buzzing geluid de hele nacht die ons slaap verstoord.Het personeel bewoog ons naar een veel meer De verdiepingen waren zo beroemd dat het voelde alsof het hotel de onderliggende structuur van een prefab moest hebben - zeer vreemd en een beetje onverwoestbaar. Het restaurant had helemaal geen karakter - een bijna steriele gevoel. Een beetje vreemd. Terwijl het zwembad, het eten en de dienst echt geweldig waren, en de vele golfers die bezoeken waren duidelijk blij, sommige van de ruimten hebben een herstel en een herdenking nodig.

Excellent location and house, quiet and relaxing. Very clean and excellent service. Fantastic breakfast!

We stayed at st micheals for our anniversary weekend and loved it! We stayed in the delux king and it was a beautiful room with lots of space. The breakfast was a lovely cooked breakfast with lots of options of fruits and waffles, beautiful view too! The health spa was our favourite part which was included with the stay, great pool and sauna and gym (:

Helen and Garry couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. They were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The food was magnificent. Had a lovely night away, wish we could have stayed longer.

King Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel. Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

Lovely place and great staff. Sadly, you can hear every word of the neighbouring rooms conversations at night. Oh and near £8 for a pint of an ale or £18 for a cocktail in Cornwall is absurd.

Service was excellent especially with the young ladies in the restaurant. Breakfast and evening Food was very good.

The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone. Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience. We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to. Breakfast was good and would recommend it.
