Dit hotel ligt direct naast de stadsmuur bij de South Gate, een perfecte uitvalsbasis om de stad te verkennen. Restaurants en gezellige bars bevinden zich allemaal op loopafstand, en bezienswaardigheden zoals de Bell Tower, Drum Tower en Muslim Street zijn gemakkelijk lopend bereikbaar. De kamers zijn mooi ingericht, comfortabel en voorzien van een gratis minibar, wat een fijne extra is. Het ontbijt is een echte aanrader, vooral omdat je tijdens het eten kunt genieten van het uitzicht op de stadsmuur. In de avond geniet je van de prachtig verlichte South Gate op het dakterras. Een tip: huur een fiets op de stadsmuur om een indruk te krijgen van de enorme lengte ervan – een onvergetelijke ervaring! Tot slot was het personeel bij het vertrek super behulpzaam en regelde ze zelfs een taxi naar het treinstation voor ons. Al met al een aanrader voor iedereen die Xi’an wil ontdekken!

We chose the hotel to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. The hotel is a symbol as we also celebrated the wedding at the W Hotel in Shanghai. The hotel in Xi'an is distinguished by its large balconies, where you can elegantly spend the sunset and also have a cup of coffee in the morning while watching the city. The sauna and swimming pool are impeccable. An amazing breakfast with a large selection of Chinese and foreign dishes. Attentive, smiling staff. We had a great time at the hotel.

De locatie van het hotel is uitstekend, naast de Trommeltoren en niet ver van de Klokkentoren. De metrohalte Guangjijie ligt direct voor de deur, wat het gemakkelijk maakt om overal te komen. Er zijn veel restaurants in de buurt en direct achter het hotel ligt de moslimwijk (Hui Fang Street), wat erg handig is voor maaltijden. Het hotel is nieuw geopend, maar ruikt absoluut niet nieuw, en de faciliteiten zijn modern en goed onderhouden. De schoonmaakster is elke dag erg zorgvuldig en de service is uitstekend. De grote tv op de kamer kan worden gespiegeld, wat een prettige kijkervaring biedt. De badkamer heeft een aparte douche en toilet, wat een pluspunt is! Het ontbijt is ook erg uitgebreid. Je hebt je kamerpas nodig om naar de verdiepingen te gaan. Op de 5e verdieping is een atrium, en zowel de lobby als het atrium zijn momenteel versierd met kerstdecoraties, wat leuke fotomomenten oplevert. Er is ook een fitnessruimte en een wasserette op de 5e verdieping, die je kunt gebruiken indien nodig. Een speciale vermelding voor juffrouw Leona, die ons geduldig hielp bij het inchecken en ons verschillende kamers liet zien om uit te kiezen, zonder enige ongeduld. Ook de service en nazorg van meneer Oliver zijn uitstekend, hij communiceerde tijdig bij problemen. Als we weer de kans krijgen om naar Xi'an te komen, zullen we zeker weer in dit hotel verblijven. Het hotel is behoorlijk verantwoordelijk; vóór het inchecken belden ze me om te vragen of ik een rookvrije kamer wilde, maar tijdens het inchecken moest ik toch wachten omdat een supervisor de rookvrije status nog moest bevestigen. De efficiëntie zou iets beter kunnen. Als je geen speciale wensen hebt, zal het inchecken snel gaan, of als je 's middags of tegen de avond aankomt, zijn de kamers waarschijnlijk al grotendeels gereed. Ik ben vergeten foto's van de hotelomgeving te maken, maar je kunt de officiële foto's en die van andere gasten raadplegen; het wijkt nauwelijks af.

During my stay at Crowne Plaza, I found the accommodation very satisfactory. The room was a good size, featuring a comfortable, super large bed, mini fridge, kettle but no milk, this had to be requested. Also, the slow drainage in the shower was messy and inconvenient. Overall the room was very nice. The hotel’s lobby was spacious and attractively designed, setting a welcoming tone upon arrival. The lounge and the 40th-floor bar were definite highlights, offering a cool and inviting ambiance. The breakfast provided met standard expectations and was enjoyable. I’d like to extend a special acknowledgment to Tony, whose help during check-in and arranging breakfast in my room when I wasn’t feeling well was exceptional, demonstrating outstanding service. Crowne Plaza’s prime location adjacent to a mall and the bridge offered numerous options for leisurely walks and sightseeing, adding to the overall convenience. Although I didn’t personally utilize the gym or pool, they appeared to be well-maintained. Best hotel in the city for sure.

Really nice hotel, sky lobby has really good views. Breakfast is also where the lobby is and shares the magnificent views. Location is slightly out of city center however there is metro within 10 min walk. It is also right next to a big shopping centre with many food options. Bathroom is magnificent, all veined marble, shower has a bench in it and the bathtub is a great place to relax at the end of a day. Hotel staff were also able to accomodate by giving us latex pillows tho I think they are getting a bit old and need to be replaced. The pool is opened till very late 11pm, staff advised it was to allow customers to be able to go out for dinner and still come back to enjoy ammenities, I think thats very thoughtful. Gym is also big and has great views, 24 hours access. Monica helpful on WeChat, able to accomodate more personal requests such as changing linen daily and extra bottled water etc. The only thing I will say is a bit annoying is that you need to take elevator up to 38th floor lobby, switch elevators then take it down to rooms. I believe rooms are levels 25-30 something. Aircon was a bit stuffy as no windows open and wifi was a bit glitchy. Was a nice stay overall.

We booked a 3-bedroom family room. The first floor was spacious, the second floor a bit smaller, suitable for 4 adults and 1 child, or a family of five. The room was in the apartment building, not the main building. They gave us some snacks, and a cake for my father's birthday. It was quieter than the main building, although there were many people outside the window, it was still a bit noisy. The location is excellent, right outside is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and there are all kinds of shops. The traffic control was a bit annoying; to get a taxi, we had to walk a few tens of meters from the intersection of Ci'en Road, in front of the High School Affiliated to Shaanxi Normal University. The facilities were a bit old but acceptable, and the hygiene was good. The price was reasonable for weekdays, but too expensive during holidays. The breakfast selection was a bit limited and not very special. The lounge could serve as dinner, saving us a meal cost.

Het hotel heeft een fantastische locatie, centraal gelegen tussen diverse bezienswaardigheden en op loopafstand van alle minder bekende fotoplekken. Onze hotelbutler, Star, was ontzettend gastvrij; ze gaf ons een klein cadeautje bij het uitchecken, wat erg attent was! Het hotel biedt dagelijks een drankje voor het slapengaan, een afternoon tea-buffet met zoete soep en onbeperkt flessenwater op elke verdieping – erg handig. De wasruimte op de 6e verdieping is ook erg praktisch; je hoeft je eigen wasmiddel niet mee te nemen! De indeling van de kamers is ook fantastisch! Er is een grote spiegel, perfect om je klaar te maken voordat je de deur uitgaat. Ik heb het al aan mijn vrienden aanbevolen!

Huaqing Palace resort service staff quality is excellent. The front desk staff provided excellent service as she provided her personal WeChat number to us as we do not have a domestic China mobile number in case we need any help during our stay. She also help us to book the appointment for the free photo shoot experience as we are unable to book due to the domestic mobile number issue. The resort also provided a free birthday cake for us as my wife’s birthday falls on the same day as the resort stay. The janitor staff, transport, restaurant, and other service staff are also courteous and provided excellent service and advice. We truly enjoy our magical stay there. Additional point just for further improvement is to explain the procedures for the guests to use the public hot spring bath as some guests are first time users.

Enjoyed a very pleasant 4 day trip to visit the historical and revolutionary sites of Yan’an and the trip was made much better thanks to a very comfortable and convenient stay at the Wanda Realm. For anybody who plans to visit the city I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is located just to the south of the old city of Yan’an in the newly built Wanda City area. It is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the old center (depending on traffic) and it’s relatively easy to call a taxi with a ride hailing app like Didi. It’s also within walking distance of the Red Street 红街 tourism area that has a theatre, cinema, activities, coffee shops and restaurants. The hotel is new and all of the main public areas are clean and well maintained - such as the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurant and gym/pool. The gym contains my favorite Life Fitness gym equipment (a quality brand) and the multi-lane, 25m meter pool is a dream for anyone who likes to swim. It even offers a good view. The hotel breakfast is very good value for money and offers a high quality selection of Western-style food (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and cereals) as well as very tasty local Chinese food - especially local Yan’an/Shanxi noodles and dumplings. For any foreigners like me, you’ll get a good sense of local taste with good ingredients. The room was very clean and spacious with nice balcony and great view of the lake and Red Street. Service staff was excellent and many staff speak good English. We even received a nice hand written message and welcome fruits. Especially if you travel with children, this is where you should stay in Yan’an. Thank you for making my holiday more enjoyable.

Everything met my expectations for comfort and good service. The room was nicely furnished, very spacious, and felt peaceful and private. The hotel's location is convenient, and the whole atmosphere is pleasant and well-kept. I was especially impressed by the staff. The front desk team was very professional and took care of everything we needed. The housekeeping was also excellent—they kept the room spotlessly clean without ever being intrusive. The whole stay felt smooth and relaxed, which is exactly what you want. It’s the kind of consistent, quality experience that makes me definitely want to stay here again when I'm back in Xi'an.
