Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there. .

Al met al is mijn verblijf van 4 nachten hier een waar voor je geld De loopafstand naar de metro is minder dan 500 meter.

The location is great, center of Tainan city. Easy to assess to a lot of place. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast buffet is so good, lot of variety to choose. Definitely will choose to stay the same hotel if travel to Tainan again

Hotel Richardson Kaohsiung is gunstig gelegen in het stadscentrum en biedt redelijk goede toegang tot het openbaar vervoer. Er zijn echter weinig eetgelegenheden in de buurt, waardoor men een of twee MRT-stations moet nemen om bij een nabijgelegen winkelcentrum te komen. Dit kan onhandig zijn voor gasten die op zoek zijn naar eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Wat de kamervoorzieningen betreft, lijkt de inrichting een beetje gedateerd, met afbladderend behang en wat stof in de kamer. De schoonmaak kan beter. Bovendien viel de warmwatervoorziening af en toe uit, wat een probleem kan zijn. Over het algemeen heeft het hotel een goede locatie, maar er is ruimte voor verbetering wat betreft het onderhoud en de schoonmaak van de faciliteiten.

We stayed 5 days in Taichung for our pre-wedding shoot, and the location couldn’t be more convenient. Just a 10-minute walk to Wernar Wedding, and everything else we wanted to explore was nearby. Morning strolls to Third Market for breakfast, a sweet stop at Miyahara for ice cream, a fun baking session at the Sun Cake Museum, and night walks to Yizhong Market for food. Loved how walkable everything was! The only bad thing is that there is not enough space to open luggage.

Pool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed. Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door. Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes. 2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor. Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately.

Het ligt direct naast het westelijk station van Kaohsiung, dus je hoeft na het verlaten van het station geen lange afstanden te lopen. Het is ook handig omdat je gemakkelijk overal naartoe kunt, zelfs in de regen. Je ziet het heel snel als je de Zhan Xi Road oploopt. Het voelt dichterbij dan alle andere hotels in de buurt. Er zijn weinig toeristische attracties of restaurants rond het station van Kaohsiung, dus je moet een stukje lopen of naar Formosa Boulevard gaan, maar aan de andere kant was het er rustig en kon ik ontspannen en bijkomen van de vermoeidheid van mijn reis. Ik moest inchecken bij een kiosk, maar dat was geen probleem. Er was een waterserver op elke verdieping en welkomstsnacks op de kamer. Er lag wat opvallend stof in de hoeken van de kamer, maar dat was te verhelpen door de kamer schoon te maken, en het was geen probleem. Het interieur was ook niet bepaald decoratief, maar de zichtbare betonnen muren, die je zelden in Japan ziet, gaven het een ietwat ongewone sfeer, wat op zich interessant was. De kamer was ook vrij ruim, dus ik kon er gemakkelijk rondlopen, zelfs met mijn enorme koffer van 70 liter open, wat erg handig was. Er was een actie gaande tijdens mijn verblijf en ik kreeg een Uber-coupon van LINE, waarmee ik met korting een taxi kon nemen om uit moeilijk bereikbare toeristische plekken te komen.

Book a Deluxe Room and had a wonderful and pleasant 5nights stay at the hotel. Welcome by the hotel staff at the entrance. Check in is seamless and clear instructions from the front desk. We were served by Debbie, had asked her for info to get a local food origin from Yilan and she assisted to search the address for us to get it in Taipei. When the goods arrived at the hotel, they allowed us to store it in their freezer till the day we checked out. Every morning we were greeted by the staff at the entrance door. This makes our day. Breakfast is okays and there is washing machine/dryer to do your laundry except that it only has one, so you gotta go down early before other guests uses it. Cleanliness in the room is excellence and they clean the room everyday. I love the mobile stand in the toilet! We even have some clothes for the housekeeper to send for recycling. Not to mention the Location, its just a 1- 2mins walk from xmd station exit 6. I will definitely stay Westgate again if I travel to Taipei. Great Staffs, great housekeeping and great stay.

De locatie is ongeveer een half uur lopen van het station en tien minuten van de bushalte. Er zijn veel restaurants beneden. De weekendprijs was een beetje duur, het zou mooi zijn geweest als het iets goedkoper was geweest. Over het algemeen ben ik redelijk tevreden.

When i arrived I was not expecting such a big lobby. Location is great with small restaurants and convenience stores around. Staff is friendly and helpful. I booked my car to airport through them and it was cheaper than taxi (tip: pay in cash to save 10% service fee), and it was a huge van all for myself. Breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing but still ok for the room price. Only downside is that no amenities available, which is the legal norm in Taiwan. So be aware to bring toothbrush and toothpaste as well as anything else you need. If you don't, no worries, can buy at the 7/11 or the other convenience store down the road. Overall, quite a pleasant experience and will definitely book there again in my next Hsinchu trip.
