"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated! For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view! I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation. I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"Een verblijf in Honglingge Inn in Dali was een waar paradijs! De faciliteiten waren top, overtroffen mijn verwachtingen volledig en droegen enorm bij aan mijn reis! De locatie van de herberg is ongelooflijk gunstig, direct naast de straten en steegjes van de oude stad, en op slechts enkele minuten van het Erhai-meer, waar je heerlijk kunt wandelen. Het betreden van de binnenplaats was adembenemend; het Chinese tuinontwerp, met zijn kunstmatige heuvels, stromend water en retro lantaarns, was prachtig. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte had ongelooflijk comfortabele rotan stoelen en theetafels, compleet met gratis thee en theeservies. Het zetten van een pot thee en genieten van het landschap was zo ontspannend dat ik niet meer weg wilde. Kortom, mijn verblijf was absoluut zalig en ik zal deze plek zeker weer kiezen de volgende keer dat ik in Dali ben."

"I highly recommend this accommodation! I was really impressed — even though there was a bit of a language barrier, it wasn’t a problem at all because the hosts did their best to communicate and took such great care of us. The afternoon tea and breakfast was delicious, the place was very clean, and the location was perfect — close to the old town and within walking distance. If I have the chance, I’ll definitely bring my friends to stay here next time. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. Hope to see you again! 😃"

"My first impression: the hotel entrance is at the back of an alleyway, so I doubted it was the right place. However, upon entry to the main compound, it has well-maintained garden of flowers and a fountain. I had a night stay at this hotel. The room is comfy and spacious, albeit the entire place is not that massive — you can only imagine there were at most 6-10 family rooms in a double storey. It has sufficient amenities provided, fairly clean room and bathroom. The bathroom’s divider with the bed area is made of frosted glass, so it might concern some privacy if you’re staying with others within the same room. The room’s floor is made up of woods, thus it might get a bit noisy with its creaking sound. However, they’re aware of the circumstances, earplugs are provided. This hotel’s location is isolated from the ever-busy Dali town, retaining its serendipity. Yet, to go to the famous philosopher stone’s streets is only around 500m. The exceptional hospitality of its people is beyond me! The female cleaner, who knows a chunk of English words, was tenderly caring by providing me bottled waters and fruits each time I’m out of the room. She lifted my backpacks to luggage storage downstairs, and even extra bottled water. The receptionist guy, unassumingly on his first day of work during my time of checking in, is also accommodating, helping me to carry my things upstairs and sort out my room carefully. On my last day, I was rushed to go the train station and he helped to communicate with the DiDi driver about my circumstance since I couldn’t speak fluent Chinese. I’ll come back here again if I’m in China another time!"

"Beautiful and clean room with nice view of the lake. Room cleanliness is excellent and they are very kind to offer 2 way transfer to the high speed rail even though the booking indicates only one way. The breakfast and afternoon tea are not only delicious, they ensure it looks as good as it tastes. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect in the last few days, we truly enjoyed our stay at the accommodation."

"The B&B environment is superb. The terrace offers stunning mountain views and beautiful flowers, and the lounge chairs are very comfortable. The room curtains are lovely, and the attention to detail is impressive. The service is excellent, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I'll definitely be back next time! It's fantastic; I stayed four nights, which goes to show how much I loved it."

"Een knusse, prachtige kamer in traditionele stijl en een hotel met een vijver op de binnenplaats. Een zeer rustige plek. Gunstig gelegen, vlakbij de ingang van de oude stad en dicht bij de kabelbaan. Een ideale plek om te ontspannen in Dalí. Heerlijke noedels voor het ontbijt. Het hotelpersoneel is zeer attent, behulpzaam en behandelt gasten met vriendelijkheid, wat een groot plezier is."
