"Very cosy place. Room is new and clean, looks very well furbished. Toilet is clean as well. Hotel is in Hongcun Village with some nice shops around though you need a ticket to come in so you have to include that into your costs. The homestay is divided into two buildings, Building 1 and Building 2. Building 1 has a rare lake view room and a lake view balcony in Hongcun. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset of South Lake without going out, and the beautiful scenery of clouds and clouds; Building 2 features a Huizhou style courtyard with a classic four water return pattern. Soak in a cup of Maofeng tea and enjoy a leisurely time on the sofa, watching the drizzling rain; At night, you can also go to the balcony and watch the stars twinkle and the moonlight shine brightly; The decoration here is simple and elegant, both modern and well integrated with the local quiet temperament. "Perfect stay in the clouds resort.
We spent five nights here. I am living in Chiba for 18 years. This is the best stay in hotel since I am here. The village is touristic, but authentic and quiet in night. It’s a mix of ancient village, water, nature. The dream China.
The resort is perfectly located on the side of the lake. The common parts are wonderful, from the term, the garden, the courtyards. You can feel the soul of the country here, built by multiple generations.
The rooms are traditional but beautiful and extremely well equipped with huge shower, Japanese toilets, huge bathtub.
There is 3 courtyards, all original and authentic. You feel the heat of history.
The restaurant is the best of the city, for reasonable prices and tasty and comfortable settings.
On the top of it, very dedicated staff, trying their best to make us happy, nice breakfast, nice afternoon tea, tea ceremony… we can be only grateful to have the pleasure to stay here.
Fast train station is just ten minutes away…"

The transportation is very convenient. The overall style of the B&B is Japanese style, simple and full of design. The large french window directly extend the green mountains and waters outside the window to the interior, making it very popular in a snap. There are various rooms with clean and bright decorations. Each room also has observation windows, and some rooms have independent courtyards. Sitting and enjoying the scenery and drinking tea are also very happy. The space is quite spacious, and it is very suitable for families or friends to stay together! The public area is equipped with charging stations, restaurants, tea rooms, meeting rooms, and gyms, which are very suitable for group building gatherings. It is a super luxurious terrace for picnics and barbecues under the bright starry sky, unbeatable and romantic. There is also a swimming pool. Jumping into the cool pool in summer is really enjoyable.
"This is the best hotel room we live during the Huangshan trip! The room is huge and very clean with all Hi tech Smart Control features. There is no smoking smell at all in the room!
It also has a very good free self service laundry room that you can clean and dry your clothes, which I have not found in other hotels during this trip in China.
The dining area is also very clean.
The hotel is very close the Hongchun （宏村）scenic area and close to main road. So, you don’t need to carry all your luggage to walk a long way to get to your hotel. I think that you will have to do that when you live inside the Hongchun scenic area."

"來宏村玩這次住的真的太舒服啦！
房間是簡約侘寂風，很乾凈，出來旅遊就是講究乾淨，床品很軟很舒服，採光也超棒，而且房間真的很大，住起來特別放鬆，整體氛圍很安靜，完全不像住在景區內的感覺一樣，是能讓人慢下來好好休息的好地方
房間可以看到小院子，種滿了花花草草，春意盎然真的好美，後院出門幾步路就到月沼和老巷子，逛吃都很方便，滿滿的煙火氣
老闆一家人也很熱情，會給推薦好吃的和遊玩路線，還有小禮物贈送，下次來宏村還住這兒！"

GGastgebruikerMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

GGastgebruikerTraveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!

LLipingismThis has to be the highlight of this trip to China.
Tachuan is almost a complete resort by itself. We had tea by the creek, main meals overlooking a gorgeous paddy field, read near a stream. There are little activity areas dotted around the resort where you can experience dressing in hanfu, practise the zither, as well as play chess or practise your calligraphy.
The staff has to be the best I encountered this whole travel, they went over and above what they needed to do, including bringing us on a hike to the nearby National Park. The National Park is a nice area to spend a morning at.
Ducks and rabbits wander freely in the estate, and there are 2 adorable cats.
There is free transport to or from Hong Cun, which is a Unesco village. Personally, I should have just explored Hong Cun for a afternoon and still return to stay another night at Ta Chuan, instead of spending one night at Hong Cun

Service is superb! The male owner picked me up from the bus stop and dropper me off with his electric motorbike. It was so much fun. The lady on her also come up to check me in at the upper Room where they upgraded me for free to a better and bigger room with view of Hongcun roof 🥰
The room is spacious and very clean all the amenities are there. The bed was so comfortable, Electric blanket actually makes me not want to move out of the bed. I needed to have a good sleep for a very long time. I picked this hotel because they do not have negative reviews and there's a reason for it! Thank you again for having me it's been such a great experience staying in the ancient city of Hongcun. Also they given me chrysanthemum tea from departure gift. How sweet of them.

GGastgebruikerDe kamer is ok, relatief eenvoudig en netjes, de locatie is relatief goed, de ingang van de westpoort bevindt zich in het park, het is gemakkelijk te vinden, het is erg handig om door de steegjes te slenteren, het is stil in het midden van het lawaai, het is niet luidruchtig en stil 's nachts, de eigenaar is erg aardig en enthousiast, er is een kleine kamer De binnenplaats is waar je thee kunt zetten Ik kom uit het zuiden van Fujian en de kleine binnenplaats is vooral geschikt voor mij. Het eten bij de baas is erg lekker, hoge kwaliteit en lage prijs! Bleef een nacht, lunchte en dineerde bij hem thuis. Een warme homestay die ten zeerste wordt aanbevolen, en ik zal hier blijven de volgende keer dat ik op vakantie ga.

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

CCharlie M DeanZhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others!
Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you.
The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable.
Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests.
Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water.
The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

GGastgebruikerThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

However, a little disappointed by the overall quality which is below my experience when compared to staying at other banyan tree properties. Little things like the clearness, maintenance of the property where paints are peeling etc. the most obvious is poor choice and quality of the breakfast .

GGastgebruikerHet pension ligt in het schilderachtige Hongcun-gebied, dat, zoals de meeste oude dorpen en steden, een eigen karakter heeft. Het landschap was mooi. Het was echter ontzettend warm, dus we hebben er maar even rondgekeken voordat we vertrokken. De eigenaar van het pension was zeer gastvrij. Toen we belden om te informeren, gaf hij ons vriendelijk de tip om de hogesnelheidstrein naar station Yixian East te nemen en vervolgens de bus naar de ingang van het dorp, waardoor we een taxikosten bespaarden. We kwamen na 20.00 uur aan bij de ingang van het dorp en de eigenaar kwam ons persoonlijk ophalen. We waren erg ontroerd, want we waren uitgeput van een lange dag in de hogesnelheidstrein. Toen we vertrokken, bracht de eigenaar ons persoonlijk naar de ingang van het dorp. We hadden drie kamers geboekt; hoewel de kamers een beetje klein waren, waren ze over het algemeen erg mooi, schoon en netjes.
