Plus: The room is very nice size, very clean and near the railway station. The reception is very friendly and helpful Minus: They claim my booking does not include breakfast but I did book with breakfast. So I have to contact Trip.com to sort this out. Waste of time. No kettle in the room. I requested for one and they say EUR5, but they waived the charge. It’s nice but then why is it so difficult to have a kettle? The soap dispenser is filled with hair conditioner! I told the receptionist. He is super nice and gave me a small travel size for the night first. Super kind. Next morning, they changed but this time again they filled in the wrong bottles haha. I gave up. The breakfast is very nice, good variety and quality.

De locatie van het hotel is goed, een aantal belangrijke bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand. Het hotel heeft ook een dakterras met verschillende uitzichtpunten. De lobby is erg sfeervol en er is een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet met veel keuze. Zelfs als u de volgende dag een vlucht heeft en niet kunt ontbijten, is het personeel bij de receptie erg behulpzaam en regelt graag broodjes en drankjes voor u. Een minpuntje is echter dat de sauna geopend is van 17:00 tot 21:00 uur. Op dat tijdstip bent u waarschijnlijk niet op uw hotelkamer en kunt u er dus niet van genieten.

De locatie is erg gunstig, met een tramhalte en een bushalte (rechtstreeks naar de luchthaven) direct voor de deur, en er is ook een metrostation in de buurt. De kamer is eenvoudig en comfortabel, en heeft zelfs een wasmachine, maar helaas geen föhn. De sauna en jacuzzi zijn fantastisch.

I’m so glad I chose this hotel in the last minute. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean, new and fresh; and the bed and pillows are very comfy. They have extensive range of breakfast, even gluten free and dairy free smoothies. Sauna is super nice and clean, and free! But what surprised me the most (very nice surprise) is they have the mini shower/bidet in the toilet 👍😀

Lovely hotel right it the centre of Helsinki, and within walking distance to most of the main sights. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by. All of the staff were very helpful, and the breakfast is probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Plenty of choice and always well stocked. The only small negative I had was that there were about 10 steps from the front entrance to the lobby and no one to help you with your suitcases.

Overall really nice and centrally located hotel. Close to the main railway station. All floors have different themes related to Finnish nature (Winter storm, Midsummer, Fairytale forest, Sisu, Tranquility) and the front desk let us choose between a couple of themes. We weren't sure what they were going to be like, but chose Fairytale forest, which was ok. The room was a bit on the small side and with a view to an inner courtyard - however this was to be expected with the room type. The room was really quiet, which was a bonus in the middle of the city! Breakfast was nice, mostly European style with breads etc. Would definitely recommend the hotel for the central location and Finnish style, if you want to experience that.

Stayed at Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis, a convenient airport hotel near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Overall, it was a good stay, ideal for transit travelers and short visits. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes. It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option. The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries. The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM. Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.

Excellent location and right next to a large mall / train station, one stop away from city centre. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast!

De locatie is uitstekend, op slechts een paar minuten lopen van het centraal station en op loopafstand van alle populaire bezienswaardigheden van de stad. De kamers zijn ruim en comfortabel. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitstekend met een ruime keuze aan gerechten. De service en het personeel van het hotel zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij! We hebben vooral genoten van het restaurant van het hotel, dat tot 22.00 uur open was, waardoor we na een dag sightseeing nog heerlijk konden dineren. Het eten was verrukkelijk. We hebben drie keer in het restaurant gegeten tijdens ons verblijf van drie nachten, omdat het eten echt uitstekend was en de zeer professionele medewerkster, Carina, erg vriendelijk en gastvrij was. Bedankt Carina!

The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, with a positive attitude and genuine smiles, which makes the stay more pleasant. Breakfast is varied and interesting, with a good selection of food to start the day. However, it closes a bit early — breakfast ends at 10:00 AM, which may feel slightly rushed for guests who prefer a more relaxed morning. The room is comfortable and warm, which is especially important during cold weather. Bathroom amenities are mostly complete, but toothbrushes and razors are not provided, which would be a nice addition for a hotel at this level. Aside from that, other amenities are well-prepared and sufficient. Overall, Scandic Simonkenttä offers a comfortable stay, excellent location, and good service. With a few small improvements, especially regarding bathroom amenities and breakfast hours, it would be an even better experience.
