Our stay at the Shangri-La Jinan was a fantastic experience. We decided to visit Jinan on a whim and, trusting the Shangri-La brand, booked the hotel on the very day of our arrival. The front desk attendant kindly upgraded us to a room with a better view. Overlooking the cityscape of Baotu Spring and Quancheng Square, the room offered an amazing view. The hotel is situated in the prime location of Quancheng, right across from Quancheng Square. Baotu Spring and Wulongtan (Five Dragon Pool) are within walking distance, and Daming Lake and Kuanhouli are also very close by, making it extremely convenient to explore Jinan's core attractions. In addition, all the staff we encountered were very friendly. We arrived late at night, and when we needed temporary children's amenities, extra pillows, and blankets, housekeeping delivered them promptly. A really great experience.

I absolutely loved the service at this hotel! I was traveling with my dog, so I specifically looked for a pet-friendly hotel. To my surprise, when I checked in, I received a package of dog treats (a pack of Crazy Dog chicken jerky). I also told the front desk staff that I hoped to find a room where my dog wouldn't disturb others (because if it's too close to the elevator or an outside area where people pass, my dog might bark). The staff found me a very quiet room, and my dog barely made a sound! Plus, all the staff members were incredibly friendly towards animals. The room itself was typical Atour – very clean and comfortable. And the surprises kept coming! When we checked out, the front desk staff heard we were driving and even gave us a special little driving gift package! All in all, this hotel truly warmed my heart!

I specifically chose a high-floor sea-view room for this trip, and it was wonderfully cool. Being able to see the ocean every day was fantastic! The room was clean, the environment was comfortable and cozy, and the staff were warm and attentive. The facilities were also safe and reliable! Highly recommend!

Listening to the wind and rain in the private courtyard is a wonderful way to escape the hustle and bustle. The nine-grid breakfast offers a rich variety and is nutritionally balanced. Best of all, the location is prime—just a 5-minute walk to the South Gate of Chaoyang Street, with easy access to both taxis and public transport. The only minor drawback is that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak.

We recently stayed in the 270° Ocean View Two-Bedroom Suite at Hilton Yantai Golden Coast, and the experience was simply top-notch—perfect for families or groups of friends traveling together. The room features massive wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed, frontline ocean views and a wonderfully bright, open feel. You can watch the sunrise over the sea in the morning, and take in the sunset, blue waters, and city nightscapes in the evening. It offers soothing, postcard-worthy ocean vistas anytime, anywhere, and every snapshot looks like a professional photograph. The suite has a well-designed layout. The two-bedroom setup balances privacy with comfort, and the space is spacious and spotless. The high-end soft furnishings make for a very cozy and pleasant stay. Our butler, Winnie, provided attentive and meticulous service throughout our stay. She was quick to respond and went above and beyond—from check-in and luggage handling to answering all kinds of requests, her thoughtful care made us feel truly well-cared for. The hotel breakfast is of great quality with a rich and comprehensive variety, featuring both Chinese and Western options. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are authentic, and it includes a wide selection of hot dishes, desserts, fruits, and drinks. The food preparation is consistently good, with no cutting corners. With excellent service, a prime environment, and stunning views, this is a top-choice accommodation for a seaside getaway in Yantai.

The hotel boasts a grand architectural design and numerous rooms, reflecting the style of an established star-rated hotel. Upon entering the room, there was a noticeable musty smell. However, the mattress was very thick and incredibly comfortable to sleep on. We ran out of tissues in the room, but the housekeeper promptly brought some when we requested them. There were no disposable bath liners for the bathtub, and they weren't available for purchase, which is an area where service could definitely be improved. Given its large scale, the hotel could consider offering childcare services similar to Club Med. A kids' play area with soft play structures, slides, and a ball pit would be a great addition, allowing parents to relax. There was no buffet available. With such a large property, inter-departmental communication seems to be an issue. The information provided by the housekeeper for the 1928 Beer Bar's dining options was incorrect. After checking out, the housekeeper asked for a good review. I provided some suggestions, but the housekeeper, 'Dabaitu' (Big White Rabbit), never replied. It feels like the service in northern China is often a 'do-it-because-my-boss-told-me-to' mentality, and any extra requests from guests are seen as an inconvenience. I really liked the breakfast buffet where many of the attendants were older, creating a very harmonious atmosphere, like being cared for by parents while away from home. The breakfast selection was extensive. There are two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Cat petting costs 19.9 for children and 29.9 for adults, with single entry and unlimited time. Feeding animals costs 10 yuan, which includes one portion of feed. **However, if you write a good review for 1 yuan, you get fewer carrots than the 10 yuan portion. The animals seemed a bit pathetic, with the little horse constantly kicking the wire fence.** There are two swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. The buffet at the 1928 Beer Bar is more Western-style. Many people might not be used to it. We tried it, and the quality of the desserts was excellent! There's a beach right behind the hotel, with some rocks, but not too many. You can go tide pooling in the early morning and at night. It's too hot during the day due to strong sun, and there isn't much seafood to find then either. The package included access to the Haiquanwan Hot Springs, but I must mention: it was dirty. There were no tissues or disposable combs in the hair-drying area (only a few scattered combs for everyone to share). With this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel's location is indeed a bit remote, making it suitable for self-driving. There's a Shandong University cafeteria and museum nearby, which I'd give five stars!

It truly makes getting around easy and stress-free. The hotel itself is very new, having been renovated just last year. The room interiors and all the facilities are spotless and brand new, making for an extremely comfortable stay. The owners are absolutely wonderful – genuine, warm, attentive, and incredibly kind-hearted. They even made us some delicious fried silverfish to try! They also proactively offered to help guests take photos if needed. Their thoughtful gestures made us feel completely at home, like family. My son and the owner's son had a blast playing together, haha, keeping each other company. The owner's wife even gave us some handmade coffee soap – how talented! The location is simply unbeatable. The beach is right across from the hotel, perfect for walks and exploring during low tide. There's also a playground nearby where kids can run wild, making it ideal for families with children. Everything you need for dining, entertainment, and fun is right at your fingertips. Whether you're on a self-driving vacation, a relaxing beach getaway, or a family trip, this is the top choice. I genuinely recommend it and will definitely stay here again next time! Personal Travel Tips: 1. For adults, I suggest bringing at least one light windbreaker as the temperature difference between morning and evening can be quite significant, making it very chilly. If children will be out in the evening, a light fleece windbreaker would be best. (This is just my personal feeling, as I get cold easily, but my husband was fine with a short-sleeved shirt and a light windbreaker). 2. During low tide, you can go crabbing across from the hotel. Small fishing boats also return with their catches, where you can buy a limited variety of seafood. For a wider selection and better value, I recommend navigating to Nanjiang Pier around 2:30 PM. We went before heading home, and there were quite a few people buying. It's about a 20-minute drive. 3. If you're self-driving, consider bringing camping gear for playing in the sand and flying kites on the beach. If it gets cold, you can retreat into your tent.

Throughout our stay, whenever we had questions, the staff would attentively listen to the end before responding. Whenever we needed to coordinate with other departments, the front desk took care of liaising and following up, sparing us from running around or making calls back and forth, which saved us so much hassle. Even when the lobby was busy and crowded, the team remained calm and methodical without showing any impatience, maintaining a consistently wonderful attitude. Check-out was equally smooth and fast. They casually asked about our stay and genuinely wanted to hear our honest feedback. The service from housekeeping and other departments was also top-notch; every employee we passed in the hallways greeted us politely. As the very first point of contact upon entering, the front desk truly demonstrated that they have the guests' best interests at heart, anticipating needs before they even arise. The entire stay was carefree and deeply comfortable. Highly recommended, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!

The hotel is conveniently located near a commercial area, subway, and bus stops, and they even recommended some great local food. The room came with complimentary water and basic toiletries, showing great attention to detail. The room hygiene is truly commendable – the bedding was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was fresh with no unpleasant odors. The front desk staff were polite and professional, responding quickly whenever I needed help, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay.
