The open-air bath was amazing! The changing room, shower room, and balcony open-air bath were all connected, which was great. The air purifier and the corners of the room were a little rough, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were very helpful and polite when I checked in! There were some shops open until around 10 PM, so I could go for a walk even after relaxing at the hotel! I couldn't go this time, so I'll save it for next time. (T_T) I was shocked that the room service I ordered was cold. The room didn't have a microwave, which was a problem! The food was delicious!! There was also a snack and drink set that looked delicious! Thank you so much!

The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to help, creating a level of service that truly stands out. The rooms were beautifully maintained, combining traditional Japanese elements with contemporary comfort. One of the highlights was definitely the Pearl Aurora Onsen, which was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling amazingly smooth. The complimentary welcome tea and cheesecake, along with the evening marshmallow roasting by the lobby, were thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Every course was beautifully presented, featuring fresh local ingredients and refined flavours that made each meal feel like a special occasion. Dining in a peaceful, private setting made the experience even more memorable. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service from Toba Station, making it easy to reach despite its tranquil location. Overall, Shiojitei perfectly balances traditional Japanese hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere. It was one of the most memorable stays of my trip, and I would gladly return on my next visit to the Ise-Shima region.

My kids loved the room...my son liked the silk bag green tea and carried it to his ”den” upstairs to savor :) You can prob comfortably sleep 3 in the loft And 4 on the ground level There are public toilets outside the room on the same floor PJs and a lot of amenities except shower cap

What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from the seamless check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our visit. You can genuinely feel the pride they take in providing outstanding hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic luxury ryokan experience with amazing food, stunning views, and unforgettable service, Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato is absolutely worth the visit. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning someday.

My stay at Shima Hantou in Shima City, Japan was a delightful experience. The location of the hotel is convenient, earning it a solid 4 out of 5 rating. Although it is a bit far from Ise City, it's easily accessible by car, with just a 1-hour journey. The hotel's cleanliness also deserves a commendable 4 out of 5 rating. As a traditional Japanese hotel, the exterior has a charming appeal. While the interior design may not be the most modern, it is still well-maintained and clean. One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for service. In terms of facilities, the hotel offers a basic hot spring bath, which was a relaxing experience. However, it's worth noting that there is only one pool for bathing, and the absence of a cold water bath and sauna facilities somewhat limited the options. Therefore, I would rate the facilities as 4 out of 5. Overall, I highly recommend Shima Hantou for a pleasant stay in Shima City. The location, cleanliness, and exceptional service make it a great choice for travelers seeking a traditional Japanese hotel experience.

We used this hotel as a family celebration trip. The facilities were beautiful and lovely, but what really impressed us was the warm and wonderful service from the staff. Due to the earthquake in Russia, trains were stopped and we had no means of transportation, but they extended our check-out time and were very accommodating. The food was delicious, and each dish was carefully prepared. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying, with so many options, including Japanese and Western cuisine, that we couldn't finish it all. We signed up for morning yoga, and started the morning off right in the open space surrounded by greenery on the property, listening to the birds chirping and feeling the breeze, which was a wonderful way to start the day. Next time we visit, we'd like to enjoy a cruise or something similar.

It's a clean and nice hotel. However, the bathrobe-style loungewear is easy to come undone, and the knot hurts when you lie down, which is annoying. It's quite stressful for someone who has come from far away and is tired and finally arrives at the hotel. I look forward to the future. The staff's service is polite and elegant, and the location is very close to the station, so I would like to use it again in the future. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to serve customers with masks. I remember that the WHO also announced that masks are not effective for either coronavirus or influenza. Japan is the only country that is lagging behind in wearing masks, and it has become part of the etiquette at work, but it's scary to serve customers without seeing their faces.

Lovely licatiin just connected to Pacific seasude at Yosino ise national park via overbridge .. enjoyed beautiful Sunrise and seranity Moon light evening. Just two minutes walk from a local train station Adawa. Hitel staff was kind enough to search transportation from hotel to Nagoya airport with multiple options. Thus part is truly impressive and attendant of service quality. Was no issue for meaks as jyst walking 3 mins Supermarket and restaurants. Will stay again next trip.

The photo is exactly the same as the actual situation. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and hygienic. The room has a personal hot spring very Nice. The breakfast is also delicious. I plan to live once a year.

The hotel is easily reachable by car, but if you are using the train, it’s 30/40min by walk or you should jump on a bus. Nearby there are konbinis and a supermarket, which is super useful if you want to eat at the hotel and take advantage of the microwave (there are not a lot of restaurants nearby). The hotel is clean and comfortable—if you want, you can also book a private bath room for free, which is great. On top of the usual amenities, you can also find different options for shampoo and conditioner (ex. one for damaged hair, etc..)
