It is a nice hotel and well maintained. However, the location is not handy for everyone - transport options are quite limited and when we were there the tram to the city center was not working. Ofcourse, it is not the fault of the hotel.
The rooms are quite nice and spacious and well kept.

HuanqiuyuzhoulvxingjiaThis hotel was the most impressive one on my trip through the Netherlands, Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium. It's located right in the heart of Ghent's scenic riverfront, a World Heritage site, one of Europe's top ten design hotels, and on the list of the world's top 100 hotels! Staying here, it truly lives up to its reputation. It's incredibly well-designed, opulent, a genuine antique with a strong sense of culture and history. The classic Baroque style is evident, and the furniture and decor are all traditional European. It exudes the luxurious feel of an ancient European palace! The breakfast was also excellent, especially the breakfast restaurant, which has fantastic views!

Guest UserThe boss didn't understand English, it was difficult to communicate, and he charged arbitrarily. He changed my double room to a double bed. The location is next to the tram, there is a tram at about 5:00 in the morning, it is very noisy, I can’t sleep

ShufuyouThis hotel, a former military barracks in Ghent, champions eco-friendliness and creativity! Just look at that bowl of wontons—can you believe this was made in a hotel restaurant in a medieval city in Belgium? Even Lao Gan Ma chili crisp is available at the front desk shop!
I particularly love the color scheme here: the blue feels so luxurious, and the pink is wonderfully vibrant!
The breakfast is plentiful with lots of options. I recommend booking a room with breakfast included; watching the people in the breakfast room feels like being back in college—it's a whole room full of young people, truly a hotel designed for a younger crowd.

Rooms are not the same as shown on the website. Location is 100 meter walk from Hotel de Flandre, the opposite side. The receptionist said as friendly to walk us to the other hotel building called City Garden Hotel.
It's more motel like hotel. Staircases are very slippery when it rains, if you choose not to use the lift.
Rooms are not well maintained, light bulbs not working, safe not functional in one room, or low battery in the other room changed. We reported it to the reception, offered to changd one room, this time there is no toilet door??!!! And lots of diets and hair here n there...
Honestly overall experience is a bit disappointing for what you paid, thus not good value for money.

Location was the only bad part of the hotel, if you want to go to the city center you need to either bike or take uber

Guest UserThis is an amazing little place in a quiet area. Room was spacious and it had a mini bar and free parking outside after working hours up till 9am next day. There are machines to buy a ticket outside these hours. Staff were lovely and informative of the area. €3 on a tram (T3) from round the corner into town or a 20 min river walk. Just scan your card or phone onto the little white machine when you get on. That’s it! No receipt or anything. So the hotel, it was great, but, as it’s small, there is noise when guests let their room doors slam shut. It’s a flaw that could maybe be fixed by the hotel but also a little consideration from guests. I closed mine using the handle and the noise was minimal. That’s the only issue I found, other than that it’s a beautiful little place in a lovely area.

Guest UserRight outside Ghent train station, a 200-meter walk (as shown in image 2) leads you to this very new and clean hotel. The free tea and coffee in the lounge area on the first floor (left-hand side) are a fantastic bonus!
The kind lady at reception allowed us to check in early, which was lovely of her – another great plus!
The room itself was clean and comfortable, equipped with instant coffee packets and a kettle. The bathroom even had a bidet function, which is a nice touch!
Getting around is super convenient, as you can catch tram T1 or T3 right outside.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my stay, a perfect 100 points! I'd definitely stay here again or recommend it to friends. Thank you for your efforts! Thanks!

Great location with everything within walking distance.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options.
Service was outstanding. As we had to check out at 4am on our last day, we informed the hotel that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the breakfast. The team kindly prepared a takeaway food bag for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
