Location : prefer , lots of shopping and dinning
Service : great, we met a staff from Hong Kong, Cantonese speaking , very friendly
Executive lounge: food not a lot of options but taste good
Room : clean and good condition
Breakfast : I try both lounge and buffet , omelet is good , others fair
We had an amazing stay at Westin Miyako, the staff is very pilote and helpfull, the room was spacious and the view was very nice. There is family mart located on site. We used the pool twice and it was very well maintained - the water temperature is perfect. I strongly recommend if travelling with kids as allows to relax after a busy day.
Suitable for those driving. Spacious hotel up on a hill. The common area looks modern but the rooms look abit dated. My teens appreciated the ”retro look” ..the ocean view compensates for the rooms. What we all enjoyed as a family was the onsen & evening bar & snack sessions. There were also some family activities,so it'll be suitable for kids. Perhaps summer might be more things to do. Free parking definitely a plus too.

Very good, it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city center. There are also many meals downstairs. Two beds are suitable for a family of four. The decoration is new and cool.
Geweldig oude herberg van 100 jaar oud. Oude japanse charme. Ik had een kamer met prima ruimte en verlichting. Er was een ons/bad dat fantastisch was en de eigenaren waren hele lieve, gastvrije mensen. De locatie is dicht bij een busstop richting Ine, een grote supermarkt en de cable car naar het park.
I recently stayed at Rhino Hotel in Kyoto, and it was a pleasant experience overall! The hotel is conveniently located near Saiin Station, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet ambiance, which made for a restful stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also enjoyed the complimentary access to the fitness center and pool, which was a nice bonus.
However, the decor felt slightly dated, and the breakfast options could have been more varied. Despite these minor points, I would highly recommend Rhino Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay in Kyoto
Путешествие в данный Рёкан оказалось невероятно комфортным и аутентичным. Невероятный отзывчивый персонал, всегда придут на помощь, подскажут и направят. Отлично говорят по-английски, так что проблем с коммуникацией не возникло. Невероятная чистота. Онсен - выше всяких похвал, 45-минутная сессия исключительно для одного (в моем случае, в других - для гостей номеров). Словно побывал у бабушки в деревне. Кайсеки - просто закачаешься, после него будешь воротить нос от любых ”суши”. Очень понравилось, 13/10

Amazing
Location is perfect, within train station. There are 2 locations that connect from the train station to the hotel. Breakfast was very good with wide range of Japanese food unfortunately very limited selection of international food. The view from our room 👍.Overall we have a very comfortable stay.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Our family had a wonderful experience at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, and we left with nothing but gratitude and happy memories. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless and heartfelt — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a trip feel truly special. A huge thank you to Cecilia and Vinnie from the Guest Experience team, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and comfortable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcomed. A very special shout-out to Cecilia, who noticed my daughter’s love for Winnie the Pooh after our visit to Disneyland Resort. She prepared a beautiful card, a sweet message, and even a handmade Pooh origami and placed it in our room. It absolutely made our daughter’s day — such a thoughtful touch we will never forget. We also want to commend Yuki from the restaurant team for his warm and wonderful breakfast service each morning. His kindness and attention to detail set the perfect tone to start our day. The Ritz Kids adventure passport was a delightful surprise — engaging not only for our daughter but also enjoyable for us as parents. And of course, we loved the festive Christmas atmosphere, especially the beautiful Christmas tree and the amazing gingerbread house with the incredible aroma that filled the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt cared for, welcomed, and genuinely appreciated. We can’t wait to return again. Highly recommended for families and anyone seeking an unforgettable Kyoto stay.
I had a truly wonderful stay at Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and professionalism of the staff were exceptional. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and attentive to my needs. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, making it extremely comfortable after a long day of exploring. The hotel’s location is excellent—conveniently close to Kyoto Station with easy access to major attractions, yet peaceful and quiet for a good rest. One of the highlights was the hotel’s shuttle service, which made transportation incredibly convenient. The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a great variety of both international and Japanese dishes served with high quality and freshness Overall, Rihga Royal Hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of service, comfort, and convenience. convenient shuttle service to Kyoto station, I took the shuttle with 2 large suitcases to Kyoto station then travel directly to Kansai airport to return home.
My stay at Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa was incredible! The classic Japanese-style room was beautifully designed with tatami mats and a serene ambiance, offering a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The ocean view from my room was breathtaking, and the onsen facilities were truly relaxing. The staff were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The traditional Kyoto-style breakfast was a delightful highlight. I highly recommend this resort for a peaceful and luxurious getaway!

Overall it has been satisfying but one little note to take is when I was greeted by a receptionist( Karin) who seemingly tried to upsell me an executive lounge room which I’ve made clear that I’m not interested in. Other than that, it’s been a great valued stay
