"The room is simple and clean. Value for money. Hotel location is good as walking distance to daimiao, a night market (not that attractive) and a food streets which could look for breakfast and dinner. It's also close to taishan which only cost RMB 10 to reached tianwaimen. The only shortage is there is no tv program allowed to watch, all need to pay. Overall, all good."

"De locatie van het hotel is absoluut perfect en de faciliteiten behoren tot de beste in Yantai. De service was ook ongelooflijk hartelijk en professioneel. We hadden een bijzondere ervaring tijdens ons verblijf: mijn zoon liet per ongeluk een van zijn schoenen in een DiDi-taxi liggen en we konden de chauffeur moeilijk bereiken vanwege de taalbarrière. Gelukkig deed medewerker Dragon Xu er alles aan om ons te helpen. Hij communiceerde met de chauffeur, regelde dat de schoen werd opgehaald en regelde zelfs alle bijbehorende details en kosten met grote zorg. Die schoen had een heel speciale betekenis voor ons gezin en we zijn hem enorm dankbaar voor zijn vriendelijkheid en toewijding. Dankzij deze ervaring zullen we de volgende keer dat we Yantai bezoeken zeker weer met nog meer plezier in het Pullman Yantai Center verblijven."

"One of the beset Shangri-la stays in a long while. The service of the staff was top-notch from the start. They were ethusiastic and welcoming. They would go above and beyond to get things done and were friendlly at all times. The best thing is they would figure things out ahead for you so you don't have to think. Truly impeccable service. The Chinese Restaurant is also superb — one of the best Chinese restaurants we've had, anywhere!"

"Ver boven verwachting! De kamer, de service, de omgeving. Vooral de knappe man bij de ingang van de lobby was van hoge kwaliteit, enthousiast en attent bij aankomst en tijdens het wachten op een taxi. Hij gaf gedetailleerde informatie over het hotel en lokale toeristische attracties, en hielp ons met het regelen van taxi's tijdens het Chinese Nieuwjaar. Het fotoshootpakket van het hotel was ook geweldig en het proberen waard. De make-upartiest, fotograaf en retoucher waren allemaal professioneel en enthousiast, en ze namen alle tijd voor ons. Dit heeft zeker bijgedragen aan een nog betere sfeer tijdens het Chinese Nieuwjaar. De Chinese stijl van dit Marriott in Qufu is zeer smaakvol ontworpen."

"Overall, my stay was good. However, the Xiao Du device didn’t work throughout my visit, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, there was one day when housekeeping forgot to make up my room. Despite these issues, the front desk staff provided good service and were always helpful and polite. The location is also quite close to Dai Temple, which makes sightseeing easier."

"I found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests. The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la."

De kamers beschikken over een charmante, authentieke binnenplaats, wat vast een welkome afwisseling is voor mensen die in hoge appartementencomplexen wonen! De architectuur is groots en indrukwekkend; als je voor de lobby staat, waan je je direct in de glorieuze Tang-dynastie, een tijdperk van weelde, geluk en overvloed voor iedereen. De service van het hotel is perfect in balans, precies goed – niet te veel, niet te weinig. Het is als een glas vruchtensap: niet te zoet, niet te machtig, maar heerlijk fris en gemakkelijk te drinken. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid en gevarieerd, en de tropische binnentuin stimuleert de eetlust zozeer dat je bijna op de rem moet trappen om niet te veel te eten en aan te komen! Als je last hebt van veel werkstress en het gevoel hebt dat alles tegenzit, is een verblijf in het Jimo Old City Junlan Hotel een uitstekende optie om er even tussenuit te zijn en tot rust te komen."

"Room is relatively big. Got the city view twin bed room. The bed is bigger than a single bed, probably twin sized bed. The room is in the old wing but at least it doesnt feel old and surprisingly quite a pleasant stay. Valley wing is the newer side. This hotel seems to be a popular conference hotel. In my 4-5 days staying there, there was always a conference held in the hotel. The hotel has larger taxis which can take 5-6pax. The taxi goes by meter so was reasonable. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to MixC shopping mall. There are many restaurants in the shopping mall where we had dinner. There were also many bakeries and a supermarket in the mall. There is also the usual mc donalds, starbucks and luckin coffee. There was also a new songmont shop that recently opened in the mall. For breakfast, there is a lane behind the hotel where we tried the dumplings and noodles for breakfast/brunch. Good price, around 100yuan for 5 pax. Cheap and good."
