Mountain view-hotels in Deqen

I rarely write reviews, but I can't wait to give a good review this time. This is the most worthwhile day of this trip. It is the most textured hotel in Yubeng, and the decoration is very impressive. The Marshall speakers and Dyson toiletries in the room are also very nice. The service is very good. Basically, everything you need can be provided, such as moisturizing masks, fascia guns, oxygen, etc. Afternoon tea and breakfast are very rich and delicious, which is rare in Yubeng, a place with scarce supplies. There is a bar in the public area, with many types of whiskey and wine. I ordered a glass of Yamazaki and the atmosphere was really good when sitting in the lobby. I also want to thank the hotel for upgrading our room type. The view is great. I can completely relax here after a day of hiking.

Het hotel is tot stand gekomen door een samenwerking tussen China Tourism Group en Xilinyuan, met steun van de lokale overheid. De faciliteiten zijn relatief nieuw en de hotelservice is uitstekend (de wasservice verdient speciale vermelding!). Het personeel is zeer gastvrij. In de buurt zijn diverse minder bekende wandelroutes door het bos. Hoewel de lente en de zomer de populairste seizoenen zijn, biedt het bos ook een uniek winterlandschap. Het hotel is bereikbaar via een zijweg van de hoofdweg, maar het pad is niet moeilijk en geeft het een afgelegen, verborgen gevoel. Een aanrader als tussenstop tussen Shangri-La en de Meili-sneeuwberg.

Hygiëne: schoon en netjes Omgeving: Het landschap is eersteklas. Vanuit de kamer en badkamer kun je de met sneeuw bedekte bergen zien. Service: De service is erg goed. Als je vragen hebt, kun je een bericht achterlaten op WeChat in de butlergroep. Het beste is dat je het ontbijt ook naar de kamer kunt sturen. Faciliteiten: Er is een restaurant op de eerste verdieping. De gerechten voor het diner zijn duidelijk met zorg bereid. Er is een café op de vierde verdieping met een prachtig uitzicht en je kunt naar de met sneeuw bedekte bergen kijken.

Fantastic, fabulous, and fascinating! This homestay in Benzilan is pure magic! The location is serene, the accommodation spotless, and the people—simply outstanding. The hosts treat you like family, always smiling and going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Honestly, leaving this place is the hardest part! It’s hands down my best stay in Yunnan. If you’re heading to Deqin for Meili Snow Mountain, this is a must-stay. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice.

We highly recommend staying in Yolo Guesthouse if you are staying overnight at Upper Yubeng Village. The owner and staff of the guesthouse was very friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay. We connected through WeChat prior to arrival and liaised with the guesthouse for transport from Lower Yubeng to upper Yubeng. The transport was included in the reservation. On arrival in the afternoon, the staff introduced and escorted us to a nearby restaurant for lunch even though it was drizzling. The guesthouse is strategically located to have views of the valley downstream and upstream. The building structure is sturdy and well designed compared to many other accommodations in the villages. The interior of the room and the rooftop coffee bar is beautifully designed and clean. They also have Dyson hairdryer and Smeg electric kettle. Coffee at the rooftop bar was decent but it was accompanied by amazing views of the valley. We were the only ones at the rooftop bar after check in and we also had their in-house hotpot at night which we enjoyed. Prior to departing for our day hike (Glacier lake from Upper Yubeng Village) the next day, the guesthouse even provided hiking poles, crampons, bottled water, Red Bull canned drinks and a homely ham and egg sandwich. We were also allowed to leave our bags stored with them as we had to check out in the late afternoon after returning from the hike. After checkout, the guesthouse also helped to call a vehicle to transport us down to lower Yubeng village. We wished we had stayed here longer throughout our trip to Yubeng. We felt very welcomed and had a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

If you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible. The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location. The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave. A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that! Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day. We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough. We stayed in Yubeng during a week when access to the village was closed, and we were the only guests at the hotel. It’s located near the trailhead to Ice Lake and not too far from Lower Yubeng and the Sacred Waterfall (the return hike is steep, but anyone coming to this place should be prepared for long and demanding walks!). There was no room service during our stay (like trash collection), but the hosts were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very tasty and fairly priced — especially considering the logistical challenges of stocking the kitchen. The room is simple but comfortable. The towels are disposable, which is a bit strange at first, but you get used to it (they actually dry you well). The view from the hotel balcony is unbelievable — definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view. We would happily stay there again.

Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

Ik heb hier 2 nachten gebleven en heb een geweldige ervaring. De kamer biedt een geweldig uitzicht op de bergen met vloer tot plafond ramen en alles in de kamer, waaronder bed, stoelen, kleding rack en badkamer, zijn goed onderhouden en schoon. De kamer biedt een gevoel van luxe en schoonheid tijdens uw weg naar dit dorp. De locatie is uitstekend, omdat u een van de eerste bent, als niet de eerste accommodatie die de bergen aangaat, dus het uitzicht is uitstekend. Het is in een geweldige locatie voor het ontdekken van de bovenste yubeng en het ijs meer. Het ontbijt was uitstekend en was anders voor elke dag dat we verbleven, en ze bieden u een gratis lunchpakket om op uw wandeling te nemen, wat een mooie gebaar, die we waardeerden. Bovendien spreekt iedereen zowel mandarijn als kanton, dus als je van Guangdong of Hongkong reist en je thuis wilt voelen, dit is de perfecte plek om te zijn. Over het algemeen was dit een geweldige accommodatie om te blijven dankzij de geweldige service, locatie en voorzieningen en de eigenaar en haar familie behandelen u echt als een familie.
