"Exceptional location with rooms directly facing Meili Snow Mountain! We booked for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and hopefully catch the morning sunrise (日照金山) and the weather did not disappoint!!
We booked a room with a very big balcony so we could spend our morning setting up cameras from our room as opposed to go outside or up to the rooftop, though we didn’t realise it was a two- bedroom. Nonetheless the spaciousness was fantastic, very clean, tidy, with complete amenities and a very cosy TV area where we enjoyed an evening movie.
Breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea was great too, with very helpful and friendly staff.
A very memorable stay for us!
Lastly, they even provided multiple tripods, such a sweet touch!"

"Had an amazing stay at this mountain homestay. Personally, I think homestay is not the right name for it. It’s more of a luxury hotel experience on top of a mountain. Very lovely and friendly owner who got out of his way to find me some throat lozenges because I was having sore throat due to the dry air. Indeed, the 14km hike from Ninong to Yubeng is very tiring, but it is made up for as soon as we reached the hotel. It’s a perfect hotel for couples (or travelers) who wishes for adventures but also wants to have the luxury comfort of a good room, bed and food at the end of a long hike. Now we are spoilt as we will be using this experience as a benchmark for our next hiking + luxury stay adventures!"

The hotel is located at the most beautiful fog top observation deck in Meili Snow Mountain, which not only can enjoy the panoramic view of the thirteen peaks of Prince in Meili Snow Mountain, but also overlooks Biluo Snow Mountain, Baima Snow Mountain and Lancang River Valley. There are many types of rooms in the hotel, all of which are equipped with floor heating and anti-high reaction oxygen concentrators, which can be inhaled by nasal tube, and you can see the whole picture of Meili Snow Mountain when you open the curtains. There is a courtyard dam outside, drinking and singing around the fireplace, and there is an Indian super large tent, eating afternoon tea, lying on the lawn, waiting for the sunrise and sunset. We also have a free sightseeing bus service to take you to the foggy top village------- a tree on the net red ------- the foggy top thirteen white pagoda observation deck.
"If you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible.
The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location.
The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave.
A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that!
Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day.
We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough.

There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Feilai Monastery, Feilai Temple Viewing Platform and Feilai Temple Scenic Area - Incense Burning Platform all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Deqin hotel provides parking on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling as a couple.
"The room was decent, and the view might be nice on a clear day. But if you come during the rainy season, everything is just a blur of white—definitely not worth the price. Not sure if there are any restaurants nearby, but you can order food through *******. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, with some of the dishes and bowls cracked or chipped. For such an expensive room, shouldn’t they be using new tableware?"

"This hotel has the best location in Upper Yubeng, as it is only a short walk away from the main village while the rest of the hotels in the village are built very closely together. The view from the room is amazing too, just as advertised, though the weather was not good while we came the view of the mountains and Lower Yubeng was still beautiful. Room comes with smart toilet, heated floors and heated blankets. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and very quick to respond to queries on WeChat, which we appreciated. There is a stove heater in the middle of the hotel where you can have a cup of ginger tea and watch the hotel cats walk about. We also ordered dinner at their in-house restaurant and we enjoyed the food too. The hotel also has a cafe with good coffee and a viewing deck both on the roof which we could see Baima mountain very clearly during the time we were there. Would recommend everyone to choose this hotel when coming to Upper Yubeng."

"The service was excellent, the best of 3 different hotels we stayed at during our trip in Yunnan. Staff was also super friendly and professional.
The views from the hotel are absolutely amazing and the hotel is located in a quiet area which makes it even more enjoyable.
We loved relaxing in the bar area with the fireplace, coffee was delicious.
Breakfast was very tasty and big portions.
The room is very spacious with very comfortable bed.

Kim’s Youth Hostel is located in the backyard of Lower Yubeng and offers private ensuite rooms with basic shower amenities. It is about 5 mins walk to the main stretch of restaurants and shops at Lower Yubeng and 10mins walk to the transport pickup area (to Upper Yubeng/ Ninong Village). The room offers some views of the valley but is partially obstructed by buildings in front of it.
Breakfast starts after 7.30am but our plans started earlier. We didn’t get the breakfast but chose to buy a 35rmb sandwich instead. The accommodation does not provide bottled water. Instead, there is a filtered water dispenser at the lobby/dining area to refill your bottles.

You get a special access of the roof top of the hotel to watch the golden sunrise of Meili mountain! Room is perfectly clean, breakfast is nice, and the vibe is amazing. The room has such a spectacular view of the mountain!
If you are a photographer though, I recommend a room with the balcony as taking photo through the glass window gives a bit of reflection.
Even though the hotel is by the main street, the hotel has taken precautions (such as double glazed windows) to ensure a quiet and comfortable stay.
The bed was really comfortable too!
My only criticism is the temperature of the room is a bit warm (I stayed in October), and I don't think there was AC to help cool it down. It did cool down naturally later in the night though.

Service: De service is erg goed. Als je vragen hebt, kun je een bericht achterlaten op WeChat in de butlergroep. Het beste is dat je het ontbijt ook naar de kamer kunt sturen.
Faciliteiten: Er is een restaurant op de eerste verdieping. De gerechten voor het diner zijn duidelijk met zorg bereid. Er is een café op de vierde verdieping met een prachtig uitzicht en je kunt naar de met sneeuw bedekte bergen kijken.

Het hotel is tot stand gekomen door een samenwerking tussen China Tourism Group en Xilinyuan, met steun van de lokale overheid. De faciliteiten zijn relatief nieuw en de hotelservice is uitstekend (de wasservice verdient speciale vermelding!). Het personeel is zeer gastvrij. In de buurt zijn diverse minder bekende wandelroutes door het bos. Hoewel de lente en de zomer de populairste seizoenen zijn, biedt het bos ook een uniek winterlandschap. Het hotel is bereikbaar via een zijweg van de hoofdweg, maar het pad is niet moeilijk en geeft het een afgelegen, verborgen gevoel. Een aanrader als tussenstop tussen Shangri-La en de Meili-sneeuwberg.

This is my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to China. The design is truly beautiful and full of cultural charm, with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains - especially at sunrise. I really fell in love with the atmosphere here: cozy, calm, modern yet deeply rooted in local culture. It felt like a true vacation home, the perfect place to unwind after long days of traveling. I could see the mountains right from my balcony, but the best view is from the coffee area on the 4th floor. I also got to try several traditional activities during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner - and despite the cold weather, the room stayed warm and incredibly comfortable. The hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you don’t even have to step outside. I'll definitely come back someday just for a relaxing getaway!

This stay offers great value for money. The hotel has an excellent view of Meili Snow Mountain from its observatory deck on the 5th floor, although the view from the room is partially obstructed by a building on the right-hand side.
The reception hall is impressive, and we received a warm welcome with afternoon tea, nighttime desserts, and group activities organized by the hotel, including fireworks. We were very fortunate to catch the Geminid meteor shower during our stay and were able to watch it comfortably from our room—and, of course, to admire Meili Snow Mountain at sunrise.

Lovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice.

Ik reed van Lijiang helemaal naar de Meili Sneeuwberg en zocht lang online naar dit hotel. De hotels in de buurt van de Feilai Tempel waren ofwel erg oud ofwel erg duur, dus na lang zoeken koos ik dit hotel. Ik was echt verrast onderweg. Het duurt ongeveer 20 minuten om vanaf de Feilai Tempel te rijden. Ik voel me net Fujiwara Takumi, afdalend van de Feilai Tempel op 4000 meter hoogte naar het IJswijnhuis op 2200 meter. Ik raad dit hotel ten zeerste aan aan iedereen die graag over bergwegen rijdt. Deze weg is de leukste die ik ooit alleen heb gereden.
Gastenkamer:
Gerenoveerd in 24 jaar, erg schoon en nieuw. De dame bij de receptie gaf me ook een upgrade naar de kamer met het beste uitzicht, waar ik de Mingyong-gletsjer achter Kawagebo kan zien. Service:
Omdat het geen hoogseizoen was toen ik er was, waren de koeien en paarden allemaal aan het werk en was ik na 11.00 uur de enige die nog in het hotel was. De eigenaresse nodigde me ook uit om de wijnmakerij te bezoeken, hun eigen rode wijn en ijswijn te proeven en me uit te nodigen om met hen te lunchen! Ik wil ook graag de dame bij de receptie, Zhuoma, complimenteren. Ze is enthousiast, verantwoordelijk en mooi!

Ik heb hier 2 nachten gebleven en heb een geweldige ervaring. De kamer biedt een geweldig uitzicht op de bergen met vloer tot plafond ramen en alles in de kamer, waaronder bed, stoelen, kleding rack en badkamer, zijn goed onderhouden en schoon. De kamer biedt een gevoel van luxe en schoonheid tijdens uw weg naar dit dorp. De locatie is uitstekend, omdat u een van de eerste bent, als niet de eerste accommodatie die de bergen aangaat, dus het uitzicht is uitstekend. Het is in een geweldige locatie voor het ontdekken van de bovenste yubeng en het ijs meer.
Wat ons verblijf onvergetelijk maakte was de geweldige dienst die we ontvingen door de eigenaar en het personeel terwijl we hier verbleven. De dame gaf ons alles wat we nodig hadden te weten tijdens onze verblijf in de yuben, inclusief de zonrijding, en beantwoordde alle vragen die we hadden over de hele yuben. Ze hebben een zeer welkome sfeer geboden en het voelt echt alsof ik uitgenodigd was om thuis te blijven, ze hebben gratis water en wasservice geleverd, en het gebruik van de wandelingstafels voor onze wandelingen. Het ontbijt was uitstekend en was anders voor elke dag dat we verbleven, en ze bieden u een gratis lunchpakket om op uw wandeling te nemen, wat een mooie gebaar, die we waardeerden. Bovendien spreekt iedereen zowel mandarijn als kanton, dus als je van Guangdong of Hongkong reist en je thuis wilt voelen, dit is de perfecte plek om te zijn.
Over het algemeen was dit een geweldige accommodatie om te blijven dankzij de geweldige service, locatie en voorzieningen en de eigenaar en haar familie behandelen u echt als een familie. Ik zou hier graag blijven, en als ik terugkom naar Yubeng, dan blijf ik hier zeker weer!
