Nice hotel. Room is bright and great location. But isn’t super clean. Hair and powder found on bed. Amenities don’t have cotton pad. Hair found in packaged earbud. Breakfast was pretty good as attached. Will stay again if price is reasonable. Without discounts it’s not worth it.

We had an early checked in for 1 room & got another slightly after 3pm. So we got to recharge ourselves & our kids had a great time in the bathtub. We had an extraordinary assistant by Mr Hafizi (receptionist) when we were having trouble in our grab food delivery. Breakfast buffet was delicious. If only can have more variety like roti canai, tosai, mee soto, laksa, chicken rice. Valet parking was excellent. Security did a great job. Keep it up. But should have standardised sheltered valet parking. Sheltered & non sheltered valet parking carry different prices. Main entrance to the lobby should have a ramp or slope to ease up the luggages movements. Gym doesn’t have treadmills, just heavy weights. Overall, nice place to stay in & safe for our family too. Thank you for having us. Will patronise again in the near future.

I've booked 2 rooms via trip.com. I've took pictures of the half eaten food and food debris strewn around the table. There was rat in the room - 2706. I've bought 2 'siew pow' for the my next morning pre-breakfast snack and left it on the table next to the TV but was eaten by rat(s). I've shown the pictures to your reception staff but was told that they will send the cleaner ro clean up the mess, a solution which did not address the issue. It's not the cleaning up we are concerned about but the frustration and minor loss we suffered. Also, seems like the room they let out was renovated halfway through with the wall not painted and floor laminates not properly sealed.

We been here for few times. This time when we checked in, we met Receptionist name, Ms Nor Ashikin. She's grumpy, not friendly and has no eye contact. When we ask questions she didn't give eye contact. We wanna to inform her that we book 2 different booking, one with Trip.com and the other booking is directly to the hotel, due to rooms available at trip.com. Through our explanation, she didn't give us any eye contact. We have to ask again what we need to do. With her eyes looking at the screen, she told us tomorrow come down again with the key. That's all, so the next day we meet Ms Natasha, she was so friendly and helpful. We found out that Ms Nor Ashikin missed out our requirements. Ms Natasha helped us up. For Ms Natasha I will give 5 star but for Nor Ashikin, I'll give one star. Overall we love our stay here and will definitely come back but we hope we won't come across Ms Nor Ashikin. Not only to us, she was very hostile towards other guests too. The management needs to do something about her hostile attitude towards the Guest especially.

Great value for money when booking online.Hotel are huge and rooms are spacious.Cleanliness and housekeeping are tip top the best hotel I ever stayed.Staff are so friendly,helpful and always gave a fast respond.My upmost gratitudes to the receptionist counter.... Duty Manager Ms Nur Mashytah,Ms Sandra, Ms Sesla and the rest of the staff for their greatest service,helpfull and most importantly the hospitality.My stayed there feel too short and feel like going back there again now but too bad due to work but will definitely come back this time with my family.Really happy and joyed being there.Thank you once again to the hotel management and all the staffs for the best service provided.My stayed over there has been really the sweetest moment I've ever had!!!Salute to all.....Those who read this review I highly recommend to stayed at this hotel...Yes by online it's for sure value for money instead of walk in.Money isn't the matter of facts but what is the most precious thing that we had or bringing back home is nothing else compared except satisfaction, happiness and of cos the least ”the sweetest memories” and the precious time while spending our holiday.The location, amenities and also tne surrounded environment is really at the BEST spot yet it is a duty free area best for shopping which located right in the hotel mall.Plan to go back there maybe after April this time with my parents....Last but not least thank you so much to all staff for making my stay the most greatest memorable.Jutaan Terimakasih semua!!!! Stayed one night there, room was very stuffy and poor lighting. Pillows smell weird. Requested for a queen bed during booking which they have options to choose from, but ended up giving 2 single beds. Shampoo was not provided, only provided one tub of body shower expected to use on hair as well. Otherwise it's near to JBCC, good to catch the early trains to Sg.

Fives Hotel Meldrum is a newly opened property in October 2023. It is 850m by walk from Johor Bahru Customs. To get to the hotel, you would need to use the link bridge near the customs that leads to R&F Mall. Just before reaching the mall, head down from the bridge and walk towards the direction of Grand Blue Wave Hotel (GBW). The property is located beside the back of GBW. A 24hrs security personnel is stationed at the main entrance of the hotel. Upon my arrival, the Front Desk Staff had requested a RM200 deposit for my check in registration. The rooms are situated from the first to ten floors. There is no fourth level in this building. I was accommodated in a Standard Queen Room (No. 311). Although the room offers a window, it faces the wall of a building. There is an ongoing construction site located beside the hotel, which I perceived to last for another year or more. Unfortunately, the construction noise is audible which only ended at 10pm during my weekday stay. I later approached the Night Manager and paid a RM40 upgrade to stay in a Standard King Room with no window (No. 308). There is no noise as this room is located in the middle section of the building. Local, Singapore TV and Malaysian radio station channels are available for entertainment in the room. The SMART TV also offers Netflix and YouTube. There are two USB charging ports and three power sockets for your mobile device charging needs. The air-conditioner functions well and keeps the room cool. Shower gel, shampoo with conditioner, toothbrush and paste are provided. The shower head is fixed to the bathroom wall. I found the water pressure to be acceptable, but the temperature is lukewarm. A-lar carte breakfast is offered at RM25 per person, though I did not consume my breakfast at the property. Nearby the hotel, there are several coffeeshops located behind a public carpark that serve breakfast. Among them is Restoran Ah Bee Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup) which is a popular eatery among the locals. There are also convenience stores and halal eateries located within walking distance from the hotel. Connoisseur Food Generation, a trendy food court is situated a 5-min walk from the hotel. This place has many food stalls that offer a wide variety of cuisine. There is also live band during my dining there. Whilst the location may not be perfect, Fives Hotel Meldrum is great for those who are seeking something new and an affordable stay in Johor Bahru.

Good area, close to lots of malls. Room was neat and clean. But had trouble checking in at the guard gate as I didn’t know we need to call the landlord and then give my number to them. It would be better if they ask for the email address at the checkout. Then send us the confirmations and lodging rules.

The stay at R&F was generally good but there were some down sides: - the R&F mall is practically empty - this particular apartment was a bit run down and a bit dirty. - one of the benches has a tear in it - electric switches for the fans in home can be a bit confusing to use. - one of dining chairs feels flimsy and about to break. - dining options are not that cheap or worth the money Good sides: - air con was decent - has cooking stove and electric equipment - washing machine - decent balcony and comfy furniture - Jaya grocer is near

In terms of location, it is located in the peripherals of a housing estate and the front of the hotel faces the main road which makes crossing the road difficult. There is nothing else near the hotel, i.e. no eateries or shops or malls. The size of the room is considered small, although the bed is comfortable. Other than these 2 shortcomings, it is not too bad a stay. Staff in the hotel are polite and helpful. The housekeeping does a decent job and room is clean. I think they even spray fragrance on the pillows which make them smell good. The wifi is good. I like the design of the lobby, which gives a warm feeling with sofas and counter which they serve simple breakfast. Although the room does not come with breakfast, the hotel does provide simple breakfast, which comprise of bread, biscuits, half-boiled eggs, cup noodles in addition to coffee and tea and flavoured drinks. I find this a very nice touch. There is an Italian restaurant that serves Italian food as well as some local food. There is also a pub, which does creates some noise on a Saturday evening as they do have music on until about 1am. Although it does not cause too much disturbance even though we stayed on the second floor. Price wise, I would regard this as reasonable.
