The Strand is een leuk en schoon hotel. De ontvangst bij de receptie verloopt vlot en vriendelijk.. de dame is erg aardig en zeer geïnteresseerd als je iets te vertelle hebt.. De kamers zijn ruim, schoon, groot genoeg, ierwat gehorig en wel iets te steriel. Een mooi schilderij of wandschildering op een witte muur zou prima kunnen. Minpunt is dat er geen lift is, maar er loopt een sterke jongen rond. Bovendien is het onbijt karig (koffie met een broodje) en daar kan men beter mee stoppen, levert alleen maar negatieve reacties op m.i. Om de hoek.(2× links) is een goedkope eatery op 100m..voor 50p zit je vol. Water ( koud en warm) kun je tappen.
De locatie is 2km van het centrum.. ik kan dat makkelijk belopen, maar niet iedereen.
In de buurt zit echter wel een mall, 7/11, McDonald's Jollibee en vele eateries....overal is genoeg te eten.

If you accidentally choose the wrong hotel, it is best for girls to not go to a remote area. If it is a family, it is still good. There is a swimming pool, a small bar, the service is OK, the facilities are too old

The hotel is rather old and not that well maintained, the ceiling of the common area leaks due to no good roof, looks like the upper story was never completed. Wi-fi does not work in the room or on the second floor you have to sit in the hotel lobby. Hotel is generally clean, but under bed, and corners of common areas are covered in dust.
Generally its ok for a few nights at a good price, but hotel is deteriorating rapidly due to lack of maintenance.

Het was een voordeel dat het vlakbij de deur van het Central Lab gebouw was. Penong's was ook dichtbij en een goede alternatief voor hotelvoedsel. Een groener was ook dichtbij, dus het kopen van essentiële essentie was niet veel van een probleem.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The owner’s warm hospitality and attentiveness elevated the entire experience. The rooms and bathrooms are impeccably clean, thoughtfully maintained, and very comfortable. One of the highlights is the stunning view equally breathtaking at sunrise and beautifully serene in the evening.
The pool area is elegant and inviting, perfect for relaxation. Moreover, the hotel staff and security personnel are consistently courteous, professional, and accommodating.
Overall, a delightful and memorable stay highly recommended for those seeking both comfort and a touch of luxury.

Great location,very accommodating staff and the room is soo spacious for 2pax..I booked the twin single bed room and select with window ur view at night is the Roxas Night Market during our stay..what u see on the page is what you see in person..😉 P.S sorry forgot to take pic on my room..😁😉

The staff are very friendly. The location is ok but difficult to find; the taxi driver had difficulty finding the place. The breakfast was ok if you like rice with an egg and a hotdog; coffee was included but not juice or fruit.

GGuest UserI would like to commend the hospitality of the staffs it's safe to say that they are well oriented in accommodating their customers. The cleanliness is 101%, not only the room wherein you can't see a single mishaps in cleaning but as well as the stairs going it's thoroughly cleaned. Early in the morning you can see the staffs cleaning in the hallway. I suggest and hope that they will care to provide each floors with its own water dispenser because it's quite inconvenient to walk down and upstairs again just to get water to drink. I hope they also serve breakfast rice meals.hehe But overall it was a good stay. Surely, we'll be choosing The Strand Suites and Dormitel in our next stay in Davao. Kudos! and God bless!

GGuest UserSMX Lanang is just a walking distance here like 5-7minutes. If you want to buy things, a lot of stores are available outside, it's very convenient. It was a nice stay coz were very close to SMX where our event is, we won't think about traffic anymore coz it's a walking distance.

GGuest UserAn accommodation that provides basic amenities for business travellers. Got the twin room with queen-sized bed. I booked for a twin room with 2 separate beds since I know that they don’t have cabinets and I’ve got stuff for a week’s stay, I was planning to pit my clothes on the other bed. I was not informed about it unfortunately there are no more available rooms with 2 beds.
My week’s stay is uneventful and peaceful. The bed, pillows and linens were comfy, with hot shower, an earlier model of flat tv, a pair of table and char, and a mirror. I felt safe enough with their keycard-operated locks, a double lock and a safety door lock lever.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, and they talk when you speak to them 😅. Kuya guard is very jolly and helpful. it also has water filter where you may get hot water for morning coffee.
The place is in the center of this business area, with stores such as savemore and 7-11 nearby.
The only thing that disappointed me was the special request which can be made thru Trip.com. Their answers are not definite. It’s always “the hotel will try theor best to provide…” it would be helpful if queries will be given a definite answer to help travelers pack.

JJean NewGreat location and friendly receptionist! Room was much better than expected (there were a few not-so-good reviews online) - big, clean and cold aircon.
Toilet was also just nice size. Overall, great value given the price and location (10 mins walk to Poblacion and Roxas Night Market, but far enough for peace and quiet at night). Would stay here again if I'm in Davao. Only downside is, there is no free bag storage after you check out. If you want to deposit your bag, you will have to book another night with them.

SSteven ReginaldThis is the most UNIQUE stay you will ever have. Definitely coming back. Me and my fiance loved it. But let me tell you- we hired a driver to take us there and didn’t read the check in instructions- you CANNOT access this place or find it unless you do. I’ll spare you the details but once there- amazing. Quiet. Views. Can swim safely in the ocean. Rooms are gorgeous. They have starlink internet. You are really staying on top of a fish farm. And they let you catch you own fish for dinner! No entertainment. But you don’t need it. Food is excellent. If you’re a drinker, they have like 4 beers on property so BYOB. Sitting on the chairs and watching the sunset was amazing. Clean. Unique. Worth it. They are new so they are still working out the kinks but I loved it

The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a restful night’s sleep. The hotel’s restaurant served delicious food and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others. Thanks again Nancy 😀

Breakfasts here are fantastic – don't miss out on the French toast! The place has a chilled-out vibe that's perfect for kicking back after exploring the island. Plus, it's super close to Peñaplata town, making it easy to rent a scooter and go on an adventure.
If you're into art, good food, and friendly faces, La Vida is the spot. It's a simple, welcoming place that's ideal for soaking up the local scene. Definitely worth the stay!

LljhaykimOverall, our stay was okay but there were some issues that need improvement.
We had to request for an extra towel for the floor because it was not provided in the room setup.
Breakfast was good, and we appreciated the variety and taste. However, our booking clearly stated 4 breakfast inclusions, but upon arrival, we were informed that it only covered 2 breakfasts, which was disappointing and felt misleading.
During our stay, there was an earthquake (magnitude 5.5). Surprisingly, no alarm or safety announcement was made by the hotel, which was concerning. Proper safety protocols should be in place during emergencies.
Overall, good breakfast but some service gaps and safety concerns need to be addressed.

NNadine VillarinThe place was splendid! Located close to many good restaurants, SNR and MTS. The pool was really good for adults and the place was well kept. Just don't forget to bring a toothbrush. Hehe. We loved the junior suite!
