"The Strand is een leuk en schoon hotel. De ontvangst bij de receptie verloopt vlot en vriendelijk.. de dame is erg aardig en zeer geïnteresseerd als je iets te vertelle hebt.. De kamers zijn ruim, schoon, groot genoeg, ierwat gehorig en wel iets te steriel. Een mooi schilderij of wandschildering op een witte muur zou prima kunnen. Minpunt is dat er geen lift is, maar er loopt een sterke jongen rond. Bovendien is het onbijt karig (koffie met een broodje) en daar kan men beter mee stoppen, levert alleen maar negatieve reacties op m.i. Om de hoek.(2× links) is een goedkope eatery op 100m..voor 50p zit je vol. Water ( koud en warm) kun je tappen.
De locatie is 2km van het centrum.. ik kan dat makkelijk belopen, maar niet iedereen.
In de buurt zit echter wel een mall, 7/11, McDonald's Jollibee en vele eateries....overal is genoeg te eten.

"My daughter and I arrived at the hotel around 10 in the evening. We went straight to the hotel from Davao Airport. Good thing it was late in the evening as we were able to escape the heavy traffic in the city area. The hotel attendant was nice and was able to assist us with our room. He was kind of having a hard time finding our booking, good thing he was able to sort everything out. We got a room on the 3rd floor, we got two beds, and didn't check if the TV was working though. The water pressure in the shower is okay. We have towels and toiletries provided. Air-conditioning is working fine. Just a bit of cleaning needed under the bed. We had a good sleep and went to check out before noon the next day as we needed to catch the bus going to Gen San. Thanks GV Hotel for a safe and sound stay in Davao"

"An accommodation that provides basic amenities for business travellers. Got the twin room with queen-sized bed. I booked for a twin room with 2 separate beds since I know that they don’t have cabinets and I’ve got stuff for a week’s stay, I was planning to pit my clothes on the other bed. I was not informed about it unfortunately there are no more available rooms with 2 beds.
My week’s stay is uneventful and peaceful. The bed, pillows and linens were comfy, with hot shower, an earlier model of flat tv, a pair of table and char, and a mirror. I felt safe enough with their keycard-operated locks, a double lock and a safety door lock lever.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, and they talk when you speak to them 😅. Kuya guard is very jolly and helpful. it also has water filter where you may get hot water for morning coffee.
The place is in the center of this business area, with stores such as savemore and 7-11 nearby.
The only thing that disappointed me was the special request which can be made thru Trip.com. Their answers are not definite. It’s always “the hotel will try theor best to provide…” it would be helpful if queries will be given a definite answer to help travelers pack."

The Location of hotel is ok . The hotel itself could do with Room upgrades. Like bed / sheets , bathroom shower & also shower body wash & shampoo was not provided !
There was no bottle water in the room which was disappointing.
Staff were very friendly & willing to help .

Guest UserThis hotel may not be a luxury five-star property, but for its category, it’s definitely one of the better places to stay. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and all the appliances were working properly, which made the stay comfortable and hassle-free. The location is also very convenient since it’s just walking distance to Pryce Tower and nearby establishments.
One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, so if your room is on the upper floors, expect a bit of exercise. They also don’t serve full meals, but they do provide free coffee and bread at the lobby. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants and food spots nearby, so finding something to eat is very easy.

Guest UserIt was a good stay overall. We had to look for somewhere to stay because of the travel time going home and the work. Although the rates are cheap, I just wish there was a direct email/phone number to contact the facility directly. We ended up having to pay extra for checking in an hour earlier because we couldn’t reach out to anyone regarding that matter. We were only checked in for 8 hours in total.

Jean NewGreat location and friendly receptionist! Room was much better than expected (there were a few not-so-good reviews online) - big, clean and cold aircon.
Toilet was also just nice size. Overall, great value given the price and location (10 mins walk to Poblacion and Roxas Night Market, but far enough for peace and quiet at night). Would stay here again if I'm in Davao. Only downside is, there is no free bag storage after you check out. If you want to deposit your bag, you will have to book another night with them.

This is the most UNIQUE stay you will ever have. Definitely coming back. Me and my fiance loved it. But let me tell you- we hired a driver to take us there and didn’t read the check in instructions- you CANNOT access this place or find it unless you do. I’ll spare you the details but once there- amazing. Quiet. Views. Can swim safely in the ocean. Rooms are gorgeous. They have starlink internet. You are really staying on top of a fish farm. And they let you catch you own fish for dinner! No entertainment. But you don’t need it. Food is excellent. If you’re a drinker, they have like 4 beers on property so BYOB. Sitting on the chairs and watching the sunset was amazing. Clean. Unique. Worth it. They are new so they are still working out the kinks but I loved it

Big BeckerAsk for Nancy! She will make you have the best time here! This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with modern furnishings. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a restful night’s sleep. The hotel’s restaurant served delicious food and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others. Thanks again Nancy 😀

The yard is very comfortable and quiet. Every day, mangoes fall from the tree. Picking mangoes has become a small blessing every day. It is super sweet. If the room facilities are not expected too high, it is quite happy to live here. Overall very recommended 👍🏻
Transportation: According to the guidance issued by Reception, it is very worry-free to take the bus from davao to the boat. 75 ≈ 9 yuan more than one person, to the warehouse, about 2.5㎞ take tutu to arrive.
Parent-child, after the phone inquiry, it is allowed to book a twin bed ➕ 750 for child with breakfast, which is still very friendly.
You can book tutu around the island, 1500 to negotiate the price yourself, motorcycle rental 500 +50deliver fee, a durian every day, the tuna restaurant opposite the warehouse is very good

Overall, our stay was okay but there were some issues that need improvement.
We had to request for an extra towel for the floor because it was not provided in the room setup.
Breakfast was good, and we appreciated the variety and taste. However, our booking clearly stated 4 breakfast inclusions, but upon arrival, we were informed that it only covered 2 breakfasts, which was disappointing and felt misleading.
During our stay, there was an earthquake (magnitude 5.5). Surprisingly, no alarm or safety announcement was made by the hotel, which was concerning. Proper safety protocols should be in place during emergencies.
Overall, good breakfast but some service gaps and safety concerns need to be addressed.

The place was splendid! Located close to many good restaurants, SNR and MTS. The pool was really good for adults and the place was well kept. Just don't forget to bring a toothbrush. Hehe. We loved the junior suite!
