"I love this camp. the location is easy to travel to any other tourist spot , it is on the opposit conor of aso station, there is Lawson on the opposit as well. The camp is lovely both interior or exterior, the living room, the toilet, the shower are clean, the kitchen is lovely you can cook but you have ro clean them by yourself. The room are cheap but very clean.the staff are so nice. If I visit aso I will stay at this hotel again."

"The rooms had all the essentials and I really liked the small onsen. The only issue was the instability of the Wi-Fi which kept dropping off even after staff helped me connect to a new one. I came here during summer so I cannot comment on insulation during winter as you’re affectively sleeping in a container."

"Het hotel ligt iets buiten de gebaande paden en het openbaar vervoer is niet erg handig. Het vervoer in Kumamoto zelf is echter niet erg handig. Het duurt een heel eind om beneden een supermarkt te vinden. De kamer is van gemiddelde grootte, de hotelservice is erg goed en de prijs is heel betaalbaar: iets meer dan 300 in het weekend, maar voor drie nachten was het maar ruim 900. Op de derde verdieping van het hotel bevindt zich een kunstmatige warmwaterbron. Het is eigenlijk een groot badhuis. Het schijnt rugpijn, schouderpijn etc. te verlichten. De omgeving is niet slecht. Na een dagje spelen is het heerlijk om terug te keren naar het hotel en te genieten van de warmwaterbron. Het is niet aan te raden om een ​​bad te nemen in de kamer, aangezien de badkamer wat klein is. Al met al is het een prima oplossing als je hier voor deze prijs kunt blijven wonen. Indien de prijs hoger is, is dit niet aan te raden."

"Een zeer aangenaam verblijf! Het ontwerp van de hut is fantastisch; de vrijstaande hut met twee verdiepingen biedt kinderen de mogelijkheid om vrij te klimmen en te spelen. De eigenaar is ontzettend gastvrij en hoewel we de taal niet spreken, deed hij zijn uiterste best om de bezienswaardigheden van Kurokawa Onsen en de faciliteiten van het pension uit te leggen met behulp van vertaalsoftware, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. Kurokawa was 's nachts erg rustig, waardoor we echt konden genieten van de rust en ontspanning van de warmwaterbronnen in de bergen. De hut was volledig uitgerust, met voldoende faciliteiten om eenvoudig te koken. We hebben samen met de kinderen Japanse sukiyaki gekookt in de hut, wat erg lekker was! De buitenbron van het pension was nog een geweldige toevoeging. Omdat het zomer was, hadden we de warmwaterbron niet gereserveerd, maar de eigenaar nodigde ons hartelijk uit om er (gratis) van te genieten. Het bleek een privé-buitenbron te zijn! Ik raad ten zeerste aan om van tevoren te reserveren – het was er zo comfortabel! De volgende dag namen de kinderen met tegenzin afscheid van de pensioneigenaar en zijn hond, en bleven ze denken aan het comfortabele bed (dat eigenlijk gewoon een tatami-mat was). "Despite our language barrier, the owner loves conversing with people, which is why he decided to open his guesthouse. He even recommended a little path that shows a great sunrise. I was greeted with some deers hopping in the distance at 6.30am. Truly magical and breathtaking. This is THE place for solo travellers. There’s a saying that it’s the people that makes the trip enjoyable and this place is proof. He charges for accommodation cheaply but offers beyond the cost, within his means happily. He loves anime like Attack on Titan and has watched Laputa 21 times. His hobbies include biking, hiking and has hiked Mt Kuju several times, Mt Aso too. He travelled to Vietnam Cambodia and Thailand solo trip too, and wants to do it again 3 years later. As my first time doing solo travelling, I couldn't be luckier than this to have met this wonderful host. I would say so far, my time spent in Kurokawa Onsen and together with the host is my whole trip’s highlight. I felt very safe and comfortable in this living space and truly enjoyed the nature surrounding it as well. I love the location of the guesthouse because I love walking and hiking. The main area of Kurokawa Onsen is quite a walk itself, so walking to the guesthouse was just extra leisure for me. Just make sure to follow google maps and the various sign boards he’s put up along the way! He offers a ride back and forth at 8.10am and 5pm to the main area anyway and to the supermarket if needed, very generous of him! Make sure to not be shy and chit-chat a lot with him! It was so much fun. The room was very cozy and with the 6 beds arranged, an extra 100 yen per night for the heater is totally reasonable to me! it felt like I was back to school and enjoyed the cleanliness and casualness of everything. Damn, this place has great interior design too. The lights have motion sensors, pretty cool! He also has his own little beautiful hot spring which you should pay extra if you want to bathe at night. Personally did not find the need after bathing at the town haha. Thank you for the comfort of home and lovely company!! I hope many people who enjoy company and nature stay here!! Highly recommended for at least 2 nights! The onsens are all very good and beautiful. I want to come again."

"Room was comfortable and hotel had nice common spaces. Sink design a little bit tight. I chose a room with a mountain view but it was severely limited. As I was only staying one night, I didn't bother too much about it. You literally drive through a forest to get to the place. Just follow the kanji signs of in doubt."

"This is a hotel I would like to stay again. It is a nice clean hotel that is very value for money. It is also near to the station and if you drives the parking is free of charge. The hotel even provide breakfast for every guest. Although it is near to the train station, can't really hear much or any noise at all which may be due to the good sound proofing thus I have a good night rest. This is the place i can highly recommend if you plan to visit Mt. Aso and its vicinity. My only feedback is the double bed is bit small than a queen bed for my 1 night triple room that i booked. Overall the room size is sufficient for 3 pax and 3 luggages."

"It’s a good private house. But I’m won’t recommend if weather is cold or raining, or if you’re traveling with young kids. I travelled with my family with two toddlers. The bath and onsen are outdoors, not quite well lit and not well covered. The hot water water pressure is low, and the water is either very hot or very cold. It was a cold, raining and windy that night. It was a horrible experience for us because of the above, and the kids had a lot of trouble taking a bath. And we were worried they might catch a cold. And strangely the door lock of the bath is locked from the outside and not from the inside. Also remember to buy food before entering. We bought ours and cooked our own dinner. Otherwise, it’s a good private house, probably best for adults."
