The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated!
For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view!
I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation.
I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali.

De B&B ligt in Guilin Lane naast de oude stad. De kronkels van het steegje geven je elke drie stappen een uitzicht. Als je langs de hardstenen platen loopt, kun je de Four Eyed Wells, de Non-staple Food Factory en de Baique-tempel tegenkomen. Aan het einde van het steegje staat de Chaoyang-toren, die het zuidoosten domineert. Op de dag dat ik aankwam, doorweekte de kletterende regen de hardstenen weg. Toen ik de deur van de binnenplaats opendeed, zag ik zwarte thee, fruit en sesamkoekjes bereid door de eigenaar en een vriendelijke begroeting. Hoewel de kamer niet groot is, is deze goed ingedeeld en verdeeld in natte en droge ruimtes. Een heerlijke dag begint met een kleurrijk ontbijt. 's Avonds zitten gasten van over de hele wereld aan tafel en proeven de specialiteit gegrilde tofu van de baasdame. Op dat moment kwam de maan voorbij, de bloemen maakten schaduwen, de lantaarn aan de deur, en de vriendelijke hospita vertelde ons dat we geen toeristen waren, maar teruggekeerden.

Misschien omdat mijn verwachtingen niet hooggespannen waren, was ik toch tevreden. Ik heb lang naar een hotel gezocht uit angst om een slechte keuze te maken. De omgeving is erg schoon. Hoewel het halverwege de reis wat afgelegen aanvoelt, is de gratis luchthavenshuttle erg handig, slechts ongeveer tien minuten, de service is erg goed en het is erg geschikt als rustplaats. Het enige probleem is dat de geluidsisolatie te slecht is. Je hoort harde douchegeluiden in de gang. Ook woon ik in een kamer onderaan de trap, dus als ik 's nachts slaap, hoor ik iemand boven mijn hoofd de trap op en af lopen. Verder is alles geweldig!

We waren zeer tevreden met de accommodatie en komen zeker terug.
De kamer was schoon en de homestay paste perfect in de stijl van de oude binnenstad van Jianshui. Desondanks is het van alle gemakken voorzien, zoals een tv-projector, een badkamerspiegel met aanraakgevoelig licht, airconditioning, enzovoort.
De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en attent. We vroegen hem of hij een kaart had om ons te helpen begrijpen wat we konden zien, en hij stuurde ons er meteen twee via WeChat. Hij spreekt ook erg goed Engels, wat een groot pluspunt is in China (voor de verandering hebben we Google Translate overgeslagen).
De accommodatie ligt op slechts 5 minuten lopen van de beroemde Oostpoort (Cháoyáng Lóu), op 3 minuten van de ”12 Wells” en de hoofdstraat Lin'an. De locatie is rustig en vredig.
We raden deze homestay aan iedereen aan die de prachtige oude binnenstad van Jianshui wil bezoeken!

Dit hotel is het meest handig qua locatie en eten en drinken tijdens deze reis naar Kunming. Het ligt op minder dan 5 minuten van Wuyi Road Light Rail Station. Beneden is het commerciële centrum en Nanqiang Snack Street, en tegenover Het is iets meer dan 800 meter lopen naar Kunming Old Street. Het is erg handig in alle richtingen. De slaapzalen zijn comfortabel en de locatie is ideaal, pal naast de oude stad. Er zijn kluisjes in de kamer en op de gang voor schoenen. Het beste van alles: de schoenwasmachine (en de droger erachter) en de gemberthee. Er is ook een betaalbare wasmachine en een verwarmde droogruimte boven.
De beheerders hebben me geholpen met het boeken van mijn bus. Ik heb mijn verblijf met één nacht verlengd!

Lijiang started from the fireworks of Zhongyi Market. Near the south gate of Lijiang Ancient City, I got off the plane and went to the hotel with a sister with a high front desk. I checked in for us in advance. I went straight to Zhongyi Market to open the dazzling eating mode. Our hotel is not far away, just a few minutes walk. In an instant, it was surrounded by a lively market atmosphere. Under the wooden building, the busy figure of the vendors, and the fragrance of various snacks, constitute the most real life picture of Lijiang. The food in any restaurant is very fragrant, and I will go to Yunnan again next time. ❤️

The entire hotel staff was really friendly. The boss upgraded my room the next day when they had spare rooms, and I think the original room was already very worth it considering the price i paid, much less to say the upgraded room. The lady boss provides day tour services, very convenient to book with her since it is right at the hotel. The younger staffs (and the bosses of course) always greets you whenever you go out and return back to the hotel (I think they have amazing memory hahaha). Super high cp value, will recommend!!

I had the pleasure of staying at Sarah’s View Inn during my recent trip, and I can’t thank Sarah and her younger brother enough for making sure my stay was so memorable. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure I was well taken care of. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the essential amenities, perfect for a comfortable few days.
Sarah was incredibly thoughtful—she contacted me via WeChat to check if our luggage was heavy and even had her brother come to help us with it. That extra touch made a huge difference after a long journey. The route to the inn is a bit of a climb, but the stunning view from the top more than makes up for it—it’s truly breathtaking and a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.
The location is fantastic, just a short distance from Lijiang’s ancient town, which offers a wide variety of food options. During my 3-day stay, we also headed to TLG, and Sarah was kind enough to let us leave our luggage with her for a day (have already checked out) , which was so helpful and much appreciated.
What truly sets this place apart is the incredible hospitality. Sarah and her brother are a wonderful team—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any questions or booking requests, whether it’s for tours, tickets, or anything else. It’s not every day you find such genuine care and dedication to guest satisfaction, especially for someone visiting China for the first time.

GGuest UserThe owner was very welcoming; people from Northeast China are known for their straightforwardness. I stayed for three nights. Transportation was extremely convenient; electric bicycles and shuttle buses to the scenic area were right outside. I would definitely stay here again next time. The only downside was that the rooms were a little small, but the private balcony was a nice touch. I heard the owner renovated after May Day, so it will definitely be even better then.

JjukachaThis time in this hotel we got the room on the first floor and this room was quite awful. Toilet is stinky and has problems with flushing, the window outside passing all the sounds from the street and it's annoying. Other rooms aren't so bad, but on the first floor better never choose.

GGuest UserI had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you, Mr Ma, for your hospitality.

RRalph D.SAmenities, ive rated 3/5 to remain neutral as all we needed was a place to stay to accommodate our family of 5.
Now, where do I begin, first of? if you sre arriving at this place via didi or taxi straight from the airport, do yourself a favour and get dropped off outside and walk to the entrance of the ”hotel”. If you get dropped off inside the underground parking lot, Goodluck to your driver finding the spot to drop you off that connects to the hotels' elevator (its a maze and once u get there, it looks sketchy but its alright).
Now, for the location: the location is superb! You're legit right beside a large mall with Tonssssss of restaurants to eat at even late at night! It is simply very convenient. And if you dont mind walking, there's another mall down south thats about 15mins walk. Lots of things to do.
The lobby, the receptionist were kind and warm. They provided water whenever asked and didn't hesitate to help where they could. The free tea upfront, although we didn't fully utilize, was a nice touch.
Now for the room: we selected the largest room they had which had 3 bedrooms. The price? It was insanely good. Almost unheard of. It was between 50-70 Canadian during the time of booking. I couldn't believe it.
But not all hotels are perfect, and i have to say some of the things i experienced could definitely be improved.
The restroom area had some scent to it that I couldn't point out as to what the smell is. I had to leave the exhaust fan on to ensure a neutral atmosphere. It worked fyi.
The living room: is huge but tell me how there's only a 2-3 people sofa available and one small chair and a table. Its a wasted space. It ought to offer a large lounging furniture at this kind of room. It felt bare.
The windows: simply put, although they installed windows capable of sound deadening, the weather stripping and the latch simply doesnt bond the gaps efficiently. Meaning, coldness of the night still finds its way. Luckily, the hvac system works and the curtains are relatively thick and also automatic (adjust at will).
The beds are ultra clean and the floors were relatively spotless.
But there's honestly one thing that is have to think about if I ever decide to rebook. I personally don't smoke, and i requested for a deodorizing treatment for our room prior to coming. The room itself? It didn't smell like cigarettes which was awesome, but here's something I don't see bring possible to address: at night time, while I lay down and sleep, there is a smell of people smoking cigarettes whose odour is somehow able to travel through the air ducts. Like each and every night, it was the same ordeal. My son didn't say anything, my parents inlaw didn't say anything, but my wife and I, yeah we smelled it.
It isnt like as if you're beside someone smoking cigarettes, but its more like a scent that goes along with the air in the room that suggest someone had smoked, just unsure when.
Other than that, sure, the beds, pillows and comforters were all clean and comfy.
Honestly, my family was OK with the room. The convenience and price is really really hard to beat. Like it is extremely beyond belief affordable. Perhaps id reconsider staying here again if we were in kunming. We'll see.

LLuxiangbeibeiMy friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. The owner was also super friendly, confirming our arrival plans a day in advance and even helping us with our luggage. There's also a very cute and friendly corgi at the guesthouse that you can pet. The place was very clean too. Definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Lijiang!

KKathkath123I’m sharing my honest feedback in the hope the owners find this useful and can use this to improve. I am coming with good intentions and wish the owners the best!
If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head after a long day of hiking and are a good sleeper, this place will suit you fine.
The beds are large and comfortable. The bed heater comes in very handy and the showers are hot. The wifi signal is good. The dogs and cats are cute.
With regards to where to improve, my suggestions below:
1. It is quite hard to find the place - the name is slightly different on Amap compared to Trip.com and as it’s a small village the roads don’t exactly match up with the map. Some signage would really help as other hotels have done. When you’ve been hiking for 5 hours and are tired you need some clear direction!
2. The owners have quite a relaxed and casual attitude to hospitality and I think they could do more to make you feel welcome. It is more of a homestay than a hotel - the common area doubles as the owners living space, and while the owners go about their day (eating, playing on phone, de-fleaing their cats) it can on occasion feel like you are intruding upon their space. A little hospitality would go a long way - a smile or acknowledgment when you enter the room, the offer of a hot drink on arrival or a warm welcome after your long hike to the village for example.
3. I think the above is especially true for foreign guests- I can speak and read some Mandarin so was able to get by, but it would be difficult if you had no understanding of the language and the hosts are not particularly forthcoming with help or information. This stands out as everywhere else we have been in China hosts have been so hospitable and willing to help - translation apps are so useful here. Just a simple one pager of what you offer, the menu, kitchen hours etc translated into English is my suggestion!
4. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the room. You can hear every footstep, whisper and noise from the adjoining rooms - if you are a light sleeper you will wake up. I would really recommend that this is addressed for guests’ peace!
5. Install one non-squat toilet in the shared bathroom area, so guests who aren’t used to these can use another type of toilet!
Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of construction going on around but there’s nothing that the hosts can do about that - it is everywhere in the village.
We weren’t lucky enough to experience good weather while we were there but I have no doubt the views would have been incredible!

The luckiest choice of my trip to Shangri-La was definitely Wufan Shanjian Light Luxury Homestay, and the biggest surprise was meeting the owner couple, a local ******* pair. The simplicity and enthusiasm unique to Tibetans in them filled the entire journey with warmth.
From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by their thoughtfulness: they not only took the initiative to pick us up at the high-speed railway station but also carefully reminded us not to rush to take a bath just after arriving on the plateau and to remember to turn on the oxygen concentrator at night. A family member traveling with us had a bit of altitude sickness, and the landlady Zhuoma immediately brought Coke and glucose to relieve the discomfort. In the evening, she specially brought warm yak milk and fresh grapes. Even the child kept saying that Aunt Zhuoma was as kind as family. The husband was simple and enthusiastic. When he saw that we had trouble parking, he immediately helped park the car without hesitation, so we didn't have to worry at all. When we wanted to find delicious skewers or plan the route around Napahai, they could always give the most authentic suggestions and even recommend reliable stores, which were more useful than the strategies we made.
The environment of the homestay is impeccable. As a person with a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, the cleanliness here completely exceeded expectations - the rooms are bright and tidy, the bed sheets and quilt covers have no peculiar smell at all, and even the bathroom is cleaned spotlessly. The facilities are also very considerate, with full-house floor heating and smart devices. The oxygen concentrator by the bed can automatically adjust the oxygen concentration, completely solving the worry about sleeping on the plateau. What's more surprising is that the location is in the center of the ancient town, only a three-minute walk to the prayer wheel, making it very convenient for shopping and dining.
During the few days staying here, I was moved by the details every day: free down jackets and umbrellas, pre-prepared moisturizing masks, hot breakfast in the morning, and even after leaving, when we found that we had forgotten something, the boss would carefully send it back. This kind of warmth that is not family but better than family made the beauty of Shangri-La more concrete. Next time I come, I will definitely stay here again!
