Renovated in 2024, the Plateau Impression Fashion Hotel (mojiajie Daxin Street Night Market) is a great choice for accommodation in Xining. The hotel is conveniently located just 3km from Xining Railway Station and 24km from Xining Caojiapu International Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Xining Wuyi Cultural Palace, Qinghai Plateau and Baiyu Alley Mosque all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Xining hotel provides parking on site. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.
"I stayed in a private bed room this time, not a dormitory. The room was very clean, with no strange smells, and the bathroom and shower were also spotless, with no mold issues. I was on the third floor. It's worth noting that smoking is allowed in this building. Someone was smoking in the lobby on the first floor, and the smoke would drift up the hallway. Even with the window open and the exhaust fan on, the smell of smoke from the hallway and neighboring rooms would sometimes seep into my room through the gap under the door. The soundproofing of the room was also just average, which was a bit of a shame. Closing the window and turning off the exhaust fan significantly reduced the smoke smell. I later bought masking tape from a nearby stationery shop and sealed the gaps around my door every night, which worked very well. It seems that Gansu and Qinghai are generally more tolerant of smoking compared to other places. Overall, though, the room was very clean and odorless, and I slept well at night. It was a good stay overall."

"It is the best budget hotel I ever stayed in. The location is perfect for those taking the train to Lhasa or a day trip using the public buses. This hotel has rooms only on the eleventh floor with a small reception on the ground floor and a small tea room for breakfast. All the other rooms I guess are for the hotel next to it that costs more. The room has a great shower and is extremely clean with a hardwood floor. No TV or free entertainment channels but it can mirror your phone to screen."

"Literally minutes away from the railway station and the main bus terminal. Room is spacious with lots of storage space. Hot shower works well. Wifi is average speed at around 10mbps (slower when using VPN). Plenty of eateries nearby. Buffet breakfast was ok and filling with decent choices. Only issues are the elevators being super slow and found some hairs in the room (cleanliness issue)."

"Een perfecte ervaring die mijn verwachtingen overtrof! Ik kom hier zeker nog eens terug! Mijn verblijf in het Mandarin Oriental Hengtai Hotel was absoluut perfect. Vanaf het moment dat ik de lobby binnenstapte tot mijn vertrek, was aan elk detail gedacht. De locatie en het vervoer zijn ongelooflijk gunstig. Het hotel ligt in het stadscentrum, op slechts een paar minuten lopen van het treinstation, en er zijn tal van restaurants en winkels in de buurt, waardoor het ideaal is voor zowel zakenreizen als ontspannen winkelen. De kamer was een nog aangenamere verrassing. De verfrissende, speciaal ontworpen geur verwelkomde me zodra ik de deur opendeed en verdreef direct mijn reisvermoeidheid. De kamer was brandschoon, het bed was zacht en comfortabel en de geluidsisolatie was uitstekend, wat zorgde voor een goede nachtrust. De badkamer had een aparte douche en toilet en was van alle gemakken voorzien. Het slimme toilet en de andere faciliteiten getuigden van oog voor detail. De service overtrof mijn verwachtingen ruimschoots. Het personeel bij de receptie was vriendelijk en efficiënt, ze verwerkten niet alleen snel mijn check-in, maar gaven me ook proactief tips over bezienswaardigheden en restaurants in de buurt. Het is zeldzaam om een ​​hotel te vinden met zulke uitstekende faciliteiten en service; de ​​prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is fenomenaal! Toen ik aankwam, was ik een beetje onbekend met de plek, maar de eigenaar gaf me enthousiast uitleg over het hostel en de bezienswaardigheden. Als ik vragen had, kon ik die gewoon aan hem stellen en hij beantwoordde ze snel en zorgvuldig. Als je gelijkgestemde vrienden ontmoet, kun je zelfs meedoen aan een groepsreis. Gasten van het hostel kunnen samen dineren; de eigenaar kookt, dus je hoeft alleen maar achterover te leunen en te wachten op het heerlijke eten – de sfeer is erg relaxed. Na het eten speelden we met z'n allen spelletjes en ik heb me prima vermaakt. Ten t****e was de plek erg schoon en de badkamerfaciliteiten leken op die van thuis, wat erg handig was. Liuguang Hostel is de perfecte keuze voor budgetreizigers zoals wij, die verlangen naar poëzie en verre oorden, haha. Mijn paar dagen in Xining waren erg ontspannend en zorgeloos, een geweldige ervaring. Tot slot wens ik Liuguang Hostel veel succes en voorspoed toe."

Staying at the Boway Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. The facilities were well-maintained, and both the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. The staff were warm and attentive, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and even proactively offered local sightseeing tips. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

The only one good thing staying here is the location. Be warned that the room is small and bath towels are not issued. It appeared that the management has a strut control on the issuing of amenities for the room. There's also no sign of the aircon controller in the room. Not recommended for long stays.

Xining is a fantastic, vibrant city, and my biggest regret is not staying longer; it deserves way more time than just a quick transit stop thanks to its incredible food scene, night markets, and laid-back vibe. During my visit, I stayed at LETE Hostel, which serves as a solid, character-rich base for exploring the region. The top-floor communal space has real history and soul, beautifully flooded with sunlight, packed with green plants, a massive library, and even three cute resident birds. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming, always doing their best to help out. Location-wise, it’s perfect - super convenient for the night markets, local food stalls, and bus stops, plus they offer safe bike storage for cyclists. For the price of a private room, the value and hospitality here are unbeatable, and I would absolutely stay again - and next time, I’ll be giving Xining the full week it deserves.

My home is right in front of Harmony Homes. If it weren't for the guests at home, I wouldn't have known there was such an affordable hotel. The experience is very good. A lot of toiletries are given as gifts, so you don’t need to take them from home. The decoration of the room is quite new. The mattresses and quilt cores on the bed should not have been used for a long time. They are all quite new, which is good. We booked two rooms, and found out that the stickers on the walls of each room were different, each with its own meaning, and they were very thoughtful. All the guest supplies in the room are disposable, so you don’t have to worry about hygiene and whether there are bacteria. You can just replace them after use. The business really thinks about consumers. In the future, guests who come to the house will choose your place to stay. Rest assured, feel at ease and take care! ! ! 👍👍👍

Good: - The hotel was a 10 minute walk away from Dongguan mosque and the Xiananguan market - Looks fairly new with decent facilities Bad: - I saw a tiny cockroach in my room 5 minutes after checking in. - There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout my first day in the hotel. The staff that came to investigate claimed it was the cleaning agents that they use 🤷. He did try to help by spraying some cleaning agent around the room though. - There is some ventilation vent (which I suspect transmits the cigarette smoke smell between rooms) which also transmits noise from other rooms. I could hear other guests talking loudly at each other in their own rooms past 12am - there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer. I attempted to use them on three separate occasions and only succeeded in my third time. After washing my clothes, the dryer then took 3 hours to fully dry my clothes. Other guests who wanted to use the dryer would have probably been frustrated.

Everything about this place was just right. I really felt the artistic vibe, and I imagine the owner must be a young person with great taste and a big heart, catering to all ages and fulfilling every artistic youth's dream. It's clean, tidy, and has all the services and facilities you could ask for. The cleaning lady was very kind, and the front desk staff was very polite. There were also many enthusiastic travelers. As a Virgo traveler, I am very satisfied! This is a genuine five-star review, not one forced by the owner. I wish all fellow travelers embarking on journeys near and far safe travels; this place truly feels like a harbor for us wanderers. Thank you, owner, for providing such a loving and energizing place, full of thoughtful details.

Pros: For its price point, the hygiene, soundproofing, and location are top-notch. It's right next to the train station, and even in a room at the end of the hall, you can't hear any outside noise. Cons: On the night we checked in, I specifically asked the front desk about breakfast times. They only told me 7:00-10:00 but failed to mention that since the hotel shares an entrance and elevators with the Ji Hotel, the restaurant floor can only be accessed with a Ji Hotel key card. Guests staying at Hanting Express are limited to dining at the single table in the lobby, which is less than 20 square meters. This feels like a deliberate concealment. We paid extra for double breakfast portions for both our rooms, but the food was incredibly sparse: only 1 boiled egg, 1 pre-packaged burger/chicken wrap (choose one), and 1 cup of soy milk per person. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra. The experience gap between different brands within the same hotel group is huge. Suggestions: 1. Absolutely do not pay extra for breakfast; it's very poor value for money. You're better off grabbing something from a street vendor. 2. I hope the hotel front desk will proactively explain the actual breakfast dining situation to guests who have purchased breakfast during check-in, to reduce negative reviews. Multiple reviews have already stated – had they known the breakfast was like this, they would never have paid extra for it.

I booked this hotel directly in Xining. This is the second time I have stayed. The hotel is exquisitely decorated and comfortable. It is ten minutes away from the airport. It is very convenient to eat and walk. The most important thing is that the boss and his wife are very good. Due to time, the airport at night, The boss estimated that he had slept and got up to pick up the plane. I felt embarrassed. Last time, the beautiful boss got up early to drop off the plane.
