"Een van de beste plekken tijdens onze weeklange reis door Centraal-Sri Lanka. Ik wou dat ik langer dan een dag was gebleven, gewoon om te relaxen bij het zwembad met uitzicht op de bergen. De kamer was erg ruim, met twee grote bedden met klamboes, warm water, een waterkoker en thee. Er was geen kluis of tv, maar wat maakt het uit? Het terras was groot en het uitzicht op de bergen was adembenemend. Het zwembad was fijn en het personeel was attent. Het ontbijt vond ik echter minder; hoewel het een buffet was, was er niet veel om uit te kiezen. Ik had liever een gewoon Engels ontbijt gehad. De locatie is eigenlijk goed; het is gemakkelijk om naar het centrum te lopen over de spoorlijn. We verdwaalden echter op de terugweg in het donker; de kaarten waren niet erg nauwkeurig, maar overdag is alles gemakkelijk te vinden."

"Goede indruk van het hotel. De kamer is prachtig, warm water, heerlijk diner en ontbijt.Maar vanwege de nabijgelegen bouw, het uitzicht van het raam is niet overeengekomen met de foto's. Maar dat geldt niet voor het hotel."

"Great accommodation! It's a bit far from the center, but they offer to pick you up and take you wherever you need to go. In fact, we had to go to the doctor, and the guy didn't leave our side until everything was sorted. Not to mention the amazing views of Ella from there. They were super friendly from the moment we arrived. Without a doubt, if I return to Ella, I'd stay at this hotel again."

"Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!"

"As an interim overnight stay, this hotel was a blast of luxury and comfort. It was a bit difficult to find, and is rather isolated, with no immediate facilities or services near by, but the restaurant served very good food (a bit salty). The room was very luxurious, very spacious, with a nice, clean bathroom, and a delightful bay window. The lounge areas were really beautiful and comfortable, with open decks and spacious grassed areas as would be expected of a hotel which started life as a diplomat's residence. It has an intimate and friendly vibe, with staff demonstrating real pride in the establishment where they work. Highly recommend for a honeymoon/intimate weekend/special stop over."

"Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate."
