5-Starhotels in Qinghai, China

We stayed at Sofitel Xining for a total of four nights, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are modern and spacious, and the facilities (pool, gym, executive lounge) are world-class — but what truly made the difference was the incredible hospitality. A very special thank you to Lucy and Mia at the front desk. Their warm welcome, kindness, and proactive support made us feel genuinely cared for. They went above and beyond to help us during our stay — from arranging transportation to providing great local recommendations. Their professionalism combined with their friendliness made every interaction a pleasure. We also want to thank Jenny, the Staff Manager, for her attention to detail and personal care. She checked on us several times to make sure everything was perfect, and we felt truly valued as guests. It’s rare to experience this level of service — we felt more like friends than hotel guests. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Xining.

Very nice hotel - centrally located The hotel is very clean. The room was big and comfortable with good amenities and very comfortable beds. Our room was clean and good. It was also possible to open the window a little if you want fresh air. The hotel is located «above» a mall, you must take the elevator to the 19th floor where the reception and restaurant is located. This was absolutely no problem, and the location is excellent. There is a vibrant and modern area around the hotel. It’s not close to the railway station, but catching taxi or even bus is easy. The breakfast was very good and had a nice selection of Chinese food. Tasty and fresh dishes, and nice service from the staff in the restaurant. The service of the staff in the reception was very good. We stayed for two nights, first one and then we returned again because of the good service and overall quality of the hotel. The staff didn’t exercise much English, but with the translation apps it’s absolutely no problem to communicate. If you have WeChat it’s super easy to communicate - the hotel has its own WeChat. BoLi Hotel provided a very good experience and we can truly recommend this hotel.

Xiaofens service was echt geweldig. Ze belde van tevoren om te vragen of ik speciale verzoeken had. Toen ik bij het hotel aankwam, stond ze al bij de deur te wachten. Ze nam me mee om in te checken en stuurde me naar de kamer. Ze vertelde me onderweg hoe ik de faciliteiten van het hotel kon gebruiken en gaf me een fruitmand toen ik in de kamer aankwam. De airconditioning was aangezet en op een comfortabele temperatuur gezet. De suite is groot met een keuken en wasmachine. De badkamer is gescheiden in natte en droge gedeeltes en is erg schoon. Het zwembad heeft droge en natte sauna's. De sportschool is goed uitgerust en er zijn veel Noordwestelijke lekkernijen voor het ontbijt.

Dit is het startpunt van onze Qinghai-Gansu Loop Line. Het hotel ligt op een zeer goede locatie, op het centrale plein van Xining, en de hoge gebouwen zijn van een afstand te zien. Het hotel is stijlvol en licht, de kamers zijn groot, de faciliteiten zijn compleet en gemakkelijk te gebruiken en de bedden zijn zeer comfortabel. Het ontbijt in het hotel is zeer uitgebreid. Er is een grote ondergrondse parkeergarage, wat erg handig is. De hotelservice is ook erg goed. De receptie is enthousiast en bezorgt speciale yoghurtsnacks op de kamer. Als je iets nodig hebt, bel dan het klantenservicenummer en ze reageren snel. Het hotel verdient 5 sterren en is zeer tevreden over het hotel. Het buffet van het hotel is uitstekend en er zijn kortingen voor hotelgasten. Ik raad het ten zeerste aan.

第一次過年來大西北，想不到這酒店過年的氣氛還很濃郁，大堂有民族服飾可以試穿拍照打卡，還挺出片的呢，也是我第一次嘗試穿名族服飾，很漂亮，本人不上相就不配照片啦😜 其他朋友入住他們家都可以嘗試一下噢 前台值班經理也很熱情，一直幫我整理衣服，凹造型，房間也很安靜乾淨，服務也很好，真的很推薦這家酒店。對了，還順便打卡了生命樹繪畫牆，最近這部劇還挺火的，總之是次非常不錯的體驗。

每次住酒店最在意的“安全感”，在這裏從進門就拉滿。前台小姐姐全程微笑接待，登記速度超快，還主動幫我們提行李、介紹周邊交通，預約送機連“是否需要託運行李”這種細節都考慮到了，像朋友一樣貼心。進了房間更驚喜，客房衞生完全挑不出毛病！床單被罩帶着淡淡的陽光味，沒有一絲褶皺；衞生間的鏡子、水龍頭擦得鋥亮，連洗漱台縫隙都乾乾淨淨，換的拖鞋也是密封包裝的，住得特別放心。 最難忘的是早餐！不僅種類多，粥品、包子、現煎雞蛋都有，連小菜都是現拌的，新鮮又入味。早上趕時間，工作人員還主動幫我們打包好，裝得整整齊齊，一路拿着都方便。 從服務到衞生再到早餐，每處都讓人覺得貼心，下次來肯定還選這裏！

The hotel was new. We got updated to the executive room and the room was huge. Everything is good except the A/C as we could not control the room temperature even it was 28C inside.

I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

Dit is een van de beste kwaliteitsopties in Golmud (er zijn niet veel). De kamer was ruime en schoon. Het ontbijt was goed. Helaas was de dienst zeer slecht - er waren geen USB-poorten in de kamer en het hotel was onbehulpzaam - het leek onwil of onmogelijk om een oplossing te bieden. De “kamerservice” is eigenlijk een uitstapje van buiten het hotel geleverde voedsel, maar er werden geen snijmachines/haakpijpen geleverd. Toen we het hotel vroegen om wat te leveren, duurde het bijna 20 minuten om te komen (langer dan het eten zelf), op welke tijd het eten koud werd. We moesten herhaaldelijk om voldoende drinkwater vragen, omdat er slechts twee kleine flessen voor twee mensen zijn geleverd. Naast de slechte dienst is het hotel in een vreemde locatie, omgeven door gesloten winkels en gebouwen - nergens in de buurt van het commerciële centrum van de stad - met niets binnen lopende afstand. Met het juiste beheer kan het een uitstekende hotel zijn, maar het is momenteel niet erg.
