5* hotel booked to end our trip in style. Bar staff and cleaners were super happy, polite and love to great the guests in the hotel. Reception staff were generally unhelpful. I tried to book activities and excursions, but was initially told to go the hotel next door before being given a random book While trying to sort late check out one receptionist began serving another customer over my head. Late check out was eventually agreed to which was helpful but after being sat face to face in silence for minutes. Facilities are wonderful. Nice private beach, great pool area. Two bars and buffet style restaurant with ala carte option. Locals got charged significantly less for our event dinner. Some would say that's fair, others would disagree, but not being transparent probably suggests it was trying to be hidden. Service wasn't 5*. When we arrived our bedding was ripped and had a huge hole in it. Thankfully this was fixed, but I think atleast 2/3 people came to check before it was resolved.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel overall. The private beach is beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. The pool area is also great, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had strong AC, which made a big difference in the heat. The staff were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. One thing to note is that we didn’t receive responses regarding booking tours through the hotel, even after following up. I would recommend arranging any tours or activities in advance to avoid inconvenience. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere.

I had a wonderful one-night stay from June 24th to 25th. The hotel offers a fantastic, tranquil escape right in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in and checkout experience. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and offered lovely views. Whether you are visiting for business or a quick leisure getaway, the beautiful lakeside setting and excellent service make it a top choice. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.

Awesome location so close to the beach but they really need to up their game on maintenance which seems to be lacking for years. It’s not healthy for paying customers to be breathing in dust and musty surroundings. Apart from that it’s a beautiful hotel with so much heritage and hope they will do justice to improve the place

I upgraded to the Deluxe suite, which was very clean and spacious, making it ideal for a couple or more than one person. The staff, as always, was friendly, providing helpful information, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The only downside was that, because I stayed in a balcony room, the black birds living on the beach were somewhat annoying 😂. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Location is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready. Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait. Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating. Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

Overall summary: Incredible value for money, highly recommended! Location: Facing the Indian Ocean, the lobby, breakfast room, guest rooms, rooftop bar, and swimming pool all offer unobstructed, direct ocean views. The train station right opposite the hotel is one stop before Colombo Fort Station. Express trains don't stop here, so you'll need to take a quick, inexpensive taxi from the main station, but it's a very short ride. If you love photographing trains and the ocean, you can capture great shots right from the hotel. Room & Amenities: The room facilities are decent. The bathroom faces the Indian Ocean directly, and there are USB ports by the bed, so no adapter is needed for the power outlets. Dining: The breakfast spread is very generous. If you have time, I recommend setting aside an hour to leisurely enjoy your breakfast while looking out at the Indian Ocean. Surroundings: There is a famous local ice cream shop just a 3-minute walk behind the hotel. It's also a very short taxi ride to One Galle Face Mall.

I stayed in the Premium City View King Room this time, and as soon as I entered, I was amazed by the spacious, bright room and exquisite decor! The room's cleanliness was impeccable, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the city skyline at night outside the window was absolutely stunning – perfect for photos! The hotel environment is elegant and tranquil, with modern and comprehensive facilities. From high-speed Wi-Fi to the smart control panel, every detail reflects high-end quality. The service was exceptional – the front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, room service was prompt, and the concierge even thoughtfully recommended nearby restaurants and attractions. Even on a business trip, I felt the warmth of home. Whether for a business trip or a leisurely getaway, this place perfectly meets all needs. I stayed in a premier king suite which was so affordable. The room was bright, white and really pretty with a nice partial ocean view with balcony. Had a great bathtub aswell and the drinks in the mini bar were included for free. ( a few softdrinks ). The location of the hotel was directly opposite tge beach abd attached to Marino mall which was fantastic as it has some good shops, food places abd even a virtual reality arcade style place. There is a fantastic foot massage place at the base of the travellator which is an extension if the hotels main spa upstairs but its so affordable. I had 3 foot massages there and it was always consistently great. The buffet breakfast was varied with really good food both western and Sri lankan with included cappuccino style coffee for no added charge upon request. Lots of beautiful different fruit variety's, finally had a pink banana and pink pomelo! The staff were courteous and friendly and they took safety seriously as everyone must put their bags and person through screening going into the hotel and your keycard was required to get to your room floor. A great bonus is the 3 hr complimentary city tour on an air-conditioned tour bus.i was hesitant thinking it might be a waste of time but it was actually really good to get oriented with the city and to stop and go through the museum and temple. They cover any entrance fees for you so I would definitely recommend going. The on-site spa Waa extremely good and the infinity pool upstairs was absolutely stunning. There are,a few separate jacuzzi spas separate aswell. 3 on-site restaurants are there though I didn't try them meant you were spoilt for choice. Can't recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely come and stay here again. It's such good value.
