Hotels met spa in Shanxi, China

This is a big hotel in a good location ( walking distance to the ancient town) with spacious room , clean and comfortable beds. However, there are no fridge, nor save box in the room; kettle, tea, coffee provided. Love breakfast with a variety of choice, both western and Asian styles, especially the dinner buffet (158 yuan) is amazing; well done chefs! We love a lot of things about this hotel apart from the “shower tickets”; this should be clarified in the hotel’s policy that this ticket is just a discount coupon for using Spa. We thought this is for swimming pool. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel and lucky to visit the Buddha caves and the flying temple in one day. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller in Datong.

Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

Ik koos ervoor om na 5 jaar weer te blijven omdat het landschap van Chongning Fort, of het nu overdag of 's nachts is, fascinerend is.Deze keer heb ik tijd vrijgemaakt om eerder aan te komen om de zonsondergang en het nachtelijke landschap te ervaren. Het kleine meisje bij de receptie is erg attent. Toen ze zag dat er oudere mensen met ons meereizen, regelde ze de dichtstbijzijnde luxe kang-kamer, en de twee kamers liggen aan de andere kant. De middag is zo heerlijk. Toen we ons aan het wassen waren en drogen, de ober ging weg. Na het te hebben gezien, heb ik ook speciaal een droogrek voor buiten gestuurd. In de zon leest de baby en er liggen wasgoed ernaast. De foto is zo warm! 'S Avonds zat de hele familie op de kang en keken tv-series, haha, we amuseerden ons allemaal (wij Jiangsu-mensen hebben zulke scènes alleen eerder op tv gezien, en nu maken we het zelf mee, het is erg leuk en erg spannend ) Ik voel een ander soort zonsondergang.De belichting en nachtscène is ook mooi, en het is een mooie foto als je een foto maakt. Ik zou het Chinese restaurant nogmaals willen noemen, het is een schatrestaurant (niemand heeft hier commentaar gegeven, we aten 's avonds, bezochten de Wang Family Courtyard de volgende dag en kwamen terug om Chinees eten te eten, de hele familie is tevreden, het eten is heerlijk😋 Ik heb vandaag ook een paar koppels zien verloven, en ik voelde me erg betrokken! ‼ ️Vooral het ontbijt moet worden versterkt, het voelt als een teammaaltijd, er zijn niet veel gerechten, geen speciale functies en de algehele smaak is slecht (het Chinese restaurant is zo lekker, waarom is het zo slecht) Tucao! De obers hier zijn zich ook niet bewust en hebben een slechte houding?

We hadden het geluk dat we dit hotel willekeurig kozen tijdens onze dagtrip naar Pingyao. Het is een van de grotere herbergen in de oude stad. De uitstekende service maakte onze reis naar Pingyao aangenaam. Het hotel heeft waarschijnlijk de enige Starbucks in de oude stad, waardoor het gemakkelijk te vinden is en dicht bij het centrum ligt, wat het erg handig maakt om de stad te verkennen. We kregen koffie bij aankomst en gaven ze zelfs een fles azijn toen we vertrokken. De aanbevolen restaurants waren allemaal uitstekend. Het hotel heeft een schilderachtige stijl, die doet denken aan een duizend jaar oude binnenplaats. Het hotel ligt in de oude stad en de faciliteiten en service zijn uitstekend. Ze belden de dag voor aankomst om ons te herinneren aan alle noodzakelijke voorbereidingen. De parkeergelegenheid en de transfers verliepen soepel en het inchecken ging snel. We hadden ook een one-stop-service voor het verkennen van de oude stad en het reserveren van een shuttle naar schilderachtige plekken. We spraken gewoon een tijdstip af en gingen op pad, wat ons tijd en moeite bespaarde. De kamerfaciliteiten zijn goed, met alle voorzieningen van een sterrenhotel. De netheid is uitstekend. Het hotel is gerenoveerd met behoud van de architectuur van de oude stad, waardoor er foto's gemaakt kunnen worden en er ingecheckt kan worden. Very comfortable stay. Hotel is older but in excellent condition with very comfortable quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was excellent with extensive Chinese and western options and even espresso coffee made to order. There was a bit of smoke smell in the corridor at times but none in the rooms and everything was very clean. Hotel was well located in the old town and close to the impressive nine dragon screen. We’d happily stay again

Ik had een kamer voor twee dagen geboekt, maar ik had er niet op gerekend dat ik een dag mijn accommodatie zou moeten annuleren omdat ik vergeten was om vooraf tickets voor de Yungang Grottoes te boeken. Het hotel was erg begripvol en stond toe dat we eerder uitcheckten, wat erg menselijk was. 2. We kunnen zeggen dat het hoogbouwhotel dat het dichtst bij de oude stad Datong in het zuiden ligt, inderdaad uitzicht heeft op de oude stadsmuur. Het is maar een kwartiertje lopen, dus het is niet ver. 3. De service van het hotel is erg goed. Of het nu gaat om hotelbenodigdheden of gierstpap voor de middernachtsnack, het wordt allemaal met enthousiasme bezorgd. 4. De ondergrondse parkeerplaats is een beetje druk, maar voor kleine auto's is de ondergrondse parkeerplaats geen probleem. Voor een 7-persoons bedrijfsvoertuig moet u echter een goede locatie kiezen, anders wordt het moeilijk om er te komen. Parkeren is nog steeds erg gemakkelijk. 4. Het ontbijt is erg uitgebreid en heeft de typische kenmerken van Datong.

Great location and they were all super nice. However the room was super hot and there is no AC. When we asked they brought up a portable unit but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep the room comfortable. If it’s winter it could be a great spot but definitely look elsewhere in the late spring and summer.

This review is completely unsolicited, and as a Chinese person, I wouldn't mislead another. First off, the location is incredibly convenient. You can spot the hotel right from the traffic light at the North Gate of the Ancient City Wall, making it perfect for visiting attractions like the Ancient City Wall, Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, and Daiwang Mansion. Secondly, the hotel itself is very welcoming. There's a children's play area and a coffee shop on the first floor. The rooms are genuinely clean and quiet. The air conditioning vents are built-in, so it's not blowing directly on you, which is very comfortable. Each tissue even has a different blessing on it, and the facilities are all very well-equipped. Also, the sliced noodles at the restaurant are delicious! They're much more to my taste than those at Dongfang Sliced Noodles, for example. We checked in on the evening of the 29th, which was during their soft opening, so there weren't many guests. However, they still diligently prepared breakfast according to our preferences after asking what we wanted. Hats off to them! Finally, the service is truly exceptional! I called in the morning of check-in to reserve a parking spot, and in the evening, they asked about our breakfast preferences for the next day. There was bottled water available in the hallway, and they patiently answered every single question. The experience was truly, truly excellent. To sum it up, I wholeheartedly recommend it! Full marks!

The hotel was famous and adjacent to a tourist attraction. The service was nice, except for a young male driver (for the commuting car that connected the hotel's buildings and the tourist attraction's gate), who seemed a bit reluctant or tired at work and lacked communication skills or etiquette (since the hotel claimed itself to be a five star hotel, it is not uncommon for guests to have higher expectations than elsewhere). It is said that the hotel was built in the 1950s. Thus, it was not surprising that many facilities seemed relatively old, especially when compared with newer hotels. Overall, the hotel could be a good choice.

This hotel was okay. The trip.com description makes it appear as though this property has a laundry room and supplies laundry detergent. They do not have a laundry room and charge extremely high prices to launder guests' clothing. If you were counting on being able to do laundry, as I was, this is something to be aware of.
