Traveling to Dalian with my child during the summer vacation, staying here was convenient as it was close to all the must-try restaurants. The hotel breakfast was decent too; the roujiamo (Chinese meat burger) was delicious, and the soft toast was also good. Taxis were readily available. The only downside was the incredibly long wait for the elevators. Except for the first day of check-in when it was smooth, we spent a long time waiting for the lifts on the subsequent days. The room facilities are a bit dated, but our particular room was very clean, and the cleaning staff were lovely. The room offered a view of Zhongshan Square, which was beautiful at night.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Happy Beach Gate 4, and within walking distance of Discovery Kingdom. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room, which I really appreciated. However, I can't give a good rating for a few reasons: 1. As soon as we got to the room, I called the front desk for children's slippers and toothbrushes. After waiting half an hour with no delivery, I ended up getting them from a housekeeping staff member in the hallway. 2. In the afternoon, I called the front desk for disposable cups. Again, after waiting half an hour, they still hadn't arrived. I had to call again to follow up before they finally sent a robot to deliver them. We then left the room, and when we returned in the evening, we found two disposable cups sitting on the floor outside our door! Isn't putting paper cups on the floor unhygienic? 3. The hotel advertises free sand-digging tools. We stayed for two nights, and every time we went to get tools, they were either unavailable or broken! 4. Our room on the fifth floor wasn't particularly noisy, but as soon as you stepped out of the elevator, the hallway had an odd smell that I couldn't quite place. The bedding also felt damp, making for an uncomfortable stay. For a Trip.com 5-diamond hotel with such a prime location, this was truly disappointing. It seems you really do get what you pay for!

This time, I brought my family and kids to Dalian, and we decisively chose to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian. This five-star hotel, highly praised by previous generations, truly lived up to its reputation. The accommodation experience throughout our trip far exceeded expectations. From its prime location and excellent room amenities to the meticulous and thoughtful service, everything left a deep impression. It's truly a Shangri-La! The Shangri-La Hotel is situated in the core business district of Renmin Road, boasting a unique geographical advantage. It's close to Zhongshan Square, very near the subway station, and surrounded by a wide array of restaurants and shopping malls. Taking a taxi to popular attractions like Donggang and Xinghai Square is incredibly convenient, saving time and effort for both leisure and business. Its transportation advantage is truly outstanding. As a long-established five-star hotel in Dalian, despite its age, it's evident that the overall maintenance is superb. The cultural ambiance is remarkably rich! Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by a grand and steady decor with elegant style and soft lighting, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The concierge staff were warm and enthusiastic, proactively helping with luggage and being very polite. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could feel the five-star hospitality standards! Lisa, the Guest Relations Manager, provided professional and efficient service. Even during the peak tourist season with large crowds, she managed everything in an orderly manner, processing check-in quickly. She also thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and snacks, showing great attention to detail. The guest rooms are spacious and bright with excellent lighting. High-floor rooms offer panoramic views of the city. The bedding is soft and thick, providing an exceptional sleep experience. After a day of exploring, lying down allows for complete relaxation and washes away travel fatigue. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly, with great attention to hygiene details. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, stable hot water supply, and high-quality toiletries. The room's soundproofing is excellent, making for a very quiet night undisturbed by outside noise. The hotel facilities are comprehensive. The indoor heated pool has clean water and a comfortable environment, and the gym is well-equipped. The buffet breakfast is a major highlight, with a rich variety of dishes, including both Chinese and Western cuisine. There are freshly made noodles, local specialties, fresh fruits, and various pastries and breads. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are excellent, satisfying different dietary preferences. The restaurant staff are friendly and responsive, making for a great dining experience. The most impressive aspect was Lisa's thoughtful service. She is genuinely warm and friendly, responds quickly to requests, and communicates smoothly. Even our child really liked her!

Four Seasons service, endless warmth! Because of the Four Seasons Hotel Dalian, our trip to Dalian was particularly unforgettable! Special thanks to: Jane, the hotel's duty manager, was especially nice. She continuously and attentively cared for us, even messaging us before check-out to ask if we needed any room supplies. Special thanks to Ms. Adale from the Guest Experience Department. She contacted me three days before check-in and proactively helped upgrade our room type. I also want to thank the kind lady who provided the turn-down service in our room. Seeing that there was no place to hang our child's clothes, she proactively asked her colleague to bring a 'spider-style' drying rack. Thanks to the young lady who served me iced Americano at breakfast – I don't know your name, but your sunshine-like smile brightened our trip... That's all! During my stay at Fushun Friendship Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall service experience. The professionalism and attention to detail exhibited by the staff were evident throughout, all delivered with efficiency and warmth. The dining experience at the Chinese restaurant was particularly commendable. The dishes were authentic in flavor and meticulously prepared, reflecting a clear dedication to quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Each course was a testament to the kitchen’s expertise. While enjoying new coffee blends and refreshments at the lobby bar during my leisure time, the young female staff consistently maintained a polite and courteous demeanor, engaging in friendly and natural conversations that enhanced the relaxed ambiance. Over several days, the hotel demonstrated high standards across all aspects – service, dining, and ambiance – creating a consistently comfortable and reassuring environment. I look forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

The room attendant was very meticulous; the room was tidied up perfectly, and the bathroom and bedding were all neatly arranged. When we needed extra amenities, the response was quick. All the equipment in the room worked fine, and our stay was quiet and peaceful. The location is convenient, with plenty of amenities nearby, and the service feels authentic. We felt relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The hotel's gym and swimming pool are the biggest plus points—they're more professional than outside gyms, and the best part is the excellent service, all conveniently located within the hotel.

The overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

Perhaps due to the extremely poor experience at 'Central Street CBD Grand Hotel' the previous night, we spontaneously moved to Shangri-La. The Shangri-La lobby indeed offers a great sense of space, and it's very convenient to get to the nearby MixC shopping mall. You can walk there via B2, which is really handy, though we only discovered this just before we left. It would be a good idea to inform guests about this during check-in. Breakfast: Since it was peak summer season, there were many empty dishes, and we also found hair on some of the plates. We informed the restaurant manager, and I ended up taking the plate to a staff member myself, worried that children might use it without noticing. There were some minor issues, but the manager apologized, which was understandable and acceptable. P.S.: If you care about the view outside your window, you need to specify a garden view and floor number. Don't assume the floor written in your booking confirmation will be the one assigned, as there can be discrepancies when rooms are allocated. Overall, it was quite good, and I would consider staying again. Just make sure to emphasize specific details to the hotel beforehand.

The scenery outside the river view room is particularly beautiful. Downstairs is the Liaohe River Leisure Trail. It is very convenient to go downstairs for a walk at night. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is always delicious and I have to visit it once or twice every time I stay. The breakfast was very good, with many flavors, but this time the coffee machine was broken and I didn't get any coffee. Fortunately, the coffee in the cafe on the first floor is also very delicious.

My stay here was fantastic, and I have to give a special shout-out to Olivia at the front desk! I arrived early, worried I'd have a long wait to check in, but Olivia was incredibly thoughtful and efficient. She got me checked in early and even upgraded my room for free, which was beyond my expectations. Her service was warm and attentive, communication was smooth throughout, and she was so patient and gentle. The entire check-in process was pleasant and hassle-free. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
