Grote teleurstelling. We hadden het geboekt voor de laatste twee dagen van onze vakantie met de bedoeling om te ontspannen. Ze hadden ons een kamer toegewezen, maar we moesten na één nacht al wisselen omdat ze bezig waren met onderhoudswerkzaamheden op die verdieping. De t****e kamer had vochtproblemen, een vieze geur en een natte vloer in de badkamer. De mensen die daar werken zijn erg onverschillig tegenover hun gasten, op een enkele uitzondering na. Het zwembad is mooi, maar het personeel is druk met elkaar aan het kletsen in plaats van voor hun gasten te zorgen. Veel te duur. Er zijn veel betere opties in de buurt met betere prijzen en service!

De kamer was ruim, met genoeg plek om je bagage neer te zetten waar je maar wilde. Het openbaar vervoer was gunstig gelegen; een metrostation lag op slechts een paar minuten loopafstand. Beneden was een 24-uurs supermarkt en op de kruising ten oosten ervan een 24-uurs restaurant. Alles was erg gemakkelijk bereikbaar. De receptiemanager, Cesar R., was erg aardig en gaf me een upgrade naar een suite, waardoor mijn verblijf van zes nachten zeer comfortabel was. Ik zou deze plek zeker weer kiezen.

Grote, ruime kamer. Comfortabel bed. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijtbuffet. Prachtig zwembad. Uitstekende locatie. Dit is een charmant oud hotel dat dringend wat updates nodig heeft. De tapijten zijn oud, smerig en vol schimmel. De ventilatieopeningen van de airconditioning druppelen voortdurend water en moeten worden vervangen. Ook de kluisjes op de kamers zijn aan vervanging toe.

Het hotel is ouder en we hadden drie stroomstoringen op onze eerste nacht: twee in de kamer en één terwijl we wachtten op de lift op onze verdieping. Dat was behoorlijk alarmerend.
De locatie is gunstig, maar er is niet veel te zien en te doen in de buurt. Het beste winkelcentrum en de oude stad zijn beide gemakkelijk te bereiken (met de auto). Het binnenzwembad is klein, maar de waterkwaliteit is goed en de temperatuur is aangenaam. De fitnessruimte is wat klein. De kamer is ruim, maar het ontbijt is niet bijzonder. Er zijn veel vijfsterrenhotels in Panama-Stad die niet duur zijn, en die in de oude stad zijn stijlvoller. Als ik niet met een groep was geweest, had ik dit hotel niet gekozen.
Het flessenwater op de kamer werd alleen op de eerste dag van mijn verblijf verstrekt en daarna niet meer, ongeacht de duur van mijn verblijf. Nadat ik dit bij de receptie had bevestigd, vond ik het vreemd.

internet connection isn't great and that could be a problem. Unfortunately, there is no fridge in the room either. The location is not really far from the Via Argentina metro station and staff is very polite and helpful.

Geweldige locatie. Geweldig personeel. Geen poespas, maar altijd schoon en het personeel is behulpzaam. De koelkast op de kamer is een fijne extra. Mijn vaste adres als ik 8 minuten van de stad ben.

At first when we arrived for check in ,they couldn't find our reservation, we had to wait for the receptionist to get on to the manager and sort out the issue , while we waitied we got complementary breakfast ,which was not included in our reservation, this i was very pleased with .. After breakfast we got our room and i must say very clean , spacious n comfortable room .. The staff was so nice and friendly, especially the girl worker .. will definitely recommend..

每年展會都在這裏入住，最大的好處是去展會方便，走路過去15-20分鐘，不想走路的話，也有接駁巴士，不過要排隊。酒店外面的運河很漂亮。酒店有點年份，設施有點老舊，不過床鋪很好睡，枕頭有點不大好。早餐就相對太簡單，品種太少了，收費差不多17美元一個人呢。

Los camareros de este hotel son especialmente acogedores y amables. La limpieza es oportuna y limpia, las sábanas se cambian a tiempo y la piscina se desinfecta y filtra regularmente. La cocina está muy bien equipada y está muy bien equipada. He estado aquí durante 20 días. Fácil de comprar alrededor, excelente precio y buena relación calidad-precio. Planeo seguir aquí y espero ver a mis amigos comentados venir a vivir aquí. ¡Es realmente bueno!

The buffet was ok, but we had a problem with one payment by credit card. The buffet and drink showed as paid on my friend's application, but the hotel said the payment was declined. They will get in touch with my friend since the issue is not closed.

LLois CowartIt started out nice because they allowed us to check in early. Once he started the process, I let him know that we preferred the king size bed as my reservation was for a ”standard room with 2 double beds or a king bed”. That was when I started getting disappointed as he said it would be an extra charge of $25 for the king bed. I questioned why and was told that my reservation was for a standard room and it was extra for a king bed. I showed him what it said but he insisted it was extra. My husband just wanted to get checked in, so he paid for it with his credit card.
We were very satisfied with our room as it was nice and clean and on the bottom floor. The TV would not play any channels of any kind so we couldn't even have that on for entertainment. We went out to the pool area only to find out that the poolside bar was closed and would not be opened during our stay. (05/05/2025). When I choose a place to stay, I expect to be able to enjoy the amenities listed. It did not list anything about being a low season or that the poolside bar would be closed. We had been looking forward to lounging in the pool while having cocktails. We're went inside to the bar and had to look around to find someone to get us drinks. Later on, we did have a very nice dinner in the restaurant with good service.
We had to leave early in the morning and it was great to have shuttle service available and ready to take us to the airport. The driver was very efficient and safe.
I did talk to the front desk about the extra $25 charge because I still felt that we should not have been charged extra. He was very apologetic and understood my point but could only give me a card with a number to call. Overall it is a beautiful property and the rooms are comfortable.

GGuest UserAbsolutely fantastic stay! I truly enjoyed Riu from the time I checked in till the time I checked out. I appreciate the staff and the quick convenience of check in process. Not only was the rooms absolutely spotless and clean but their were plenty of elevators to get to the rooms. I really enjoyed the pressed juice from the breakfast the most (absolutely fresh and excellent). The breakfast buffet was a nice feature to have at our time there, along with looking out to the pool(do wish the pool was a tad bit bigger). IT IS A MUST YOU TRY THE RESTAURANT TASTE AND THE BARTENDER DRINKS. Absolutely probably one of the best in the city! The meal at taste was exceptional and the prices are perfect (please don't change because I plan on coming back). From start to finish Riu made my birthday experience worthwhile in Panama. I honestly wouldn't have changed it for the world! Thank you for the housekeeping for always keeping our room clean and us being so trustworthy of leaving suitcase and clothes items out and it wasn't even moved an inch. The beds were some of the most comfiest sheets we slept on in a while and the bathroom was so big and spacious with DOUBLE sinks! We appreciate the friendliness and excitement in activities and guest that we saw everyday. If you are not staying at Riu then what are you doing?

LLois CowartThis hotel is an oasis in the heart of downtown! Clean and spacious public areas! It has an inside bar with a pool table, restaurant, beer pub and outdoor beer garden. The outside areas were filled with beautiful green tropical plants and flowers and the pool was clean. Love the decor all over and even in the elevator!! Our king size bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and the bathroom was clean, stocked well and had plenty of hot water. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the carpet could be replaced but it was clean. The service was very good from the front desk to the beer garden to the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to couples and large groups! Oh, they have a workout room also!

GGuest UserRoom was nice and comfortable though carpet had not been vacuumed in a long time.
Had a massage at the spa. Extremely disorganized and inexperienced massuese. With 30 minutes notice of my arrival there were no towels or robes ready. She kept bringing things one at a time even while i waz naked getting into the shower- bath mat, then robe, then robe belt, then towel, then slippers. I told her i just want back massage and done strong but i had to keep telling her where to rub and to be stronger.
Other than that the facility was nice
I used on line booking to book one day, then two more days then three more days. I always book for two but om the last three days something went wrong and somehow got booked only 1 person. Desk attendant told me $55 a day to change to two person. I think the app which i didn’t use the first two times defaulted to kne person and i didn’t have a chance to select two person
It waa extremely difficult to get a drink at the bar.
I did manage to get a drink at the bar then moved to a table. When i got the bill for items at the tae, the drink i had already paid for was on the bill. The waitress corrected it, thankfui had the bar receipt in my pocket

The breakfast was particularly rich, the Panama five-star hotel breakfast was good, the room was spacious, facing the sea and the view was good. The price is reasonable, there are many big hotels and restaurants around.

AArsen AlikhanyanThis is a very overvalued hotel, in reality the amenities are quite a low standard, rooms need minor renovations, and the housekeeping and maintenance services need proper improvement!
Maintenance issues: the sink had overspread issue, drainage issue, toilet had overfilling issue with a noise, shower vents didn’t close fully, unless you master the “secret”; floor in the bathroom was steep towards the bedroom area, instead of being steep towards the drainage hole, the entrance door wouldn’t close without noise because of touching the floor..
Housekeeping: they attended the room only after i asked and reminded. Even then they once didn’t clean the floor, twice didn’t provide refills of the amenities (water, tissues, etc.). Only after my kind complaint to the reception, they finally fixed the issues.
The reception and restaurant staff are very nice, kind, and attentive! Thanks and well done!

GGuest UserThe hotel location is very good , very close to the main places in the city , so is easy to move around . The hotel room is ok , is big and spacious and the furniture is new . The hotel decoration is alright just like a normal holiday inn hotel , looks more for a business trip . It has a nice swimming pool on the top of the building too . The only problem I saw is that because of eco friendly tiles there are no water bottles at the room , there is free water tanks and the lobby so to drink you need to drink at the lobby , or take water from outside the hotel , but there are no shops close to the hotel , so you need to pay a higher price for the hotel vending machine or just drink water at lobby , I was thirsty the whole stay haha .
But I recommend it for business people
