Hotels met Pools in Oita Prefecture, Japan

Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima. The journey is very long. I stayed 3 nights here. Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower. Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef. They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other. There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen). I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology . Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room. There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode. The cast and mirroring was lagging for me. As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one. The room wifi was okay. The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen. The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them. The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette. The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes. Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it. I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly. The staff at the reception were very helpful . Overall the stay was good! Will stay again if I am in Beppu. Thank you .

Drove to the hotel so location wasn’t an issue but what a luxurious resort stay for the family! The dinner buffet options were plenty with roasted beef, seafood and plenty of alcohol options. The indoor water slides and wave pool provided much entertainment for kids and they definitely enjoyed it. Bedrooms were comfortable and relatively newly renovated so we enjoyed the stay a lot. Will definitely drop by again if there’s a chance!

Hello, everyone! We recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience was mixed — there are some nice touches, but also noticeable shortcomings. **Room:** The room was spacious but clearly outdated; furniture and interior look worn. The ventilation works, yet it still feels quite stuffy inside. It would be great if the hotel improved air-conditioning or installed mosquito screens: the sea view is beautiful, but opening the window isn’t an option because of too many insects. **Facilities & Service:** The only real extras are massage service and a shared onsen. There’s no gym, pool, or other activities — the hotel is designed for quiet relaxation. A shuttle service is available, which is convenient, but if you miss it, getting to the hotel on your own can be quite difficult. During this stay the hotel was quite busy, and it often took a long time to catch the elevator to our floor. **Dining:** Breakfast and dinner can be pre-booked; the food was tasty and varied. The bar offers a pleasant atmosphere with a decent drink selection, and in the evening the lobby lounge opens with alcoholic drinks and light snacks — a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. **Location:** The property faces Beppu Bay, yet the seaside feeling is limited — there are few walking areas nearby, and due to insects it’s hard to enjoy the open air. **Overall:** A good option for a calm, onsen-style getaway with decent food and polite staff, but when the hotel is crowded, the lack of facilities and outdated rooms become more noticeable. With some modernization and better infrastructure, this could be an excellent resort.

Located in a quaint little town which is about 1.5km away from Yufuin Station. Everything was perfect about this little Onsen Hotel/Inn and the food was beyond words could describe! The only downside was to get to and fro the hotel from Yufuin Station. Taxi will set you back ¥800 per way. Bus will only take you about 750m and you got to walk the rest of the distance upslope to the hotel. On the day of departure from the hotel, we pre-arranged a taxi to pick my wife and I up at 8.40am for our 9.07am train to Kumamoto and we were only informed that all taxi bookings were full at 8am. My wife and I had a hasty but tasty breakfast before making our way downslope, onto the Main Street to Yufuin Station. An early morning Route March some would call it. 😂 Thank you Yuhri for giving us the best of your service and the private Onsen was more than perfect too!

第一次去別府，選了這家2025年新開業有私湯、海景可以走到海地獄等景點的温泉酒店，太驚喜啦！ 位置/設施： 酒店在鐵論温泉附近的山上，面朝別府港大海方向，上山的幾百米車需幾道盤旋公路而上，一點小刺激！酒店樹木環繞，旁邊衹有另一個酒店及神社，非常寧靜。我們被升級的別墅（B-2）非常大，卧室有三張雙人床，還有和室、客廳、餐廳、廚房、庭院、游泳池（夏天才有水）、室內、室外温泉池、室外桑拿、兩個洗手間等，院子非常私密，但從庭院可以看到別府的海及山下多處温泉蒸汽噴發的美景。 餐飲： 套餐包含晚餐及早餐：晚餐從5:30到8:00，需最晚7:30到達。兩餐選擇豐富、食物質量非常好，餐盤也非常精緻。晚餐每人有一份現煎的和牛及大鮑魚。早餐雞蛋、培根、香腸也是現做的… 服務： 用攜程提供的郵件（英文）回覆非常快，告知下午在別府站有四次免費接站2:30/3:30/4:30/5:30。我們開始選的5:30，但當天臨時改到4:30也沒有問題。酒店派了一輛出租車來接我們。到了酒店，大堂接待的前台居然可以説中文，非常耐心地和我們介紹酒店的服務與設施！ 傍晚，在小院裏泡好温泉去吃飯時發現很多客人都是穿着酒店的睡衣去進食的，好鬆弛！早飯後，我們沒有選擇酒店上午的免費送站服務，步行下山到海地獄（很近），city walk到海邊 （50分鐘左右），再🚖回酒店取行李/到別府站（4000元）。 酒店説如果想享用公共温泉，可以享用他們的姐妹酒店，走路5分鐘，留給下次！ 酒店入住率感覺挺高的（很多小院外都有停車），但多説日語/韓語。發現還沒有點評，開筆分享這家難忘的海邊温泉度假酒店！

Het ontbijt en het openbare bad waren fantastisch! Het perfecte hotel voor reizigers die zowel efficiëntie als ontspanning zoeken. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van het station en er zijn diverse winkels in de buurt, wat het erg handig maakt. Het is ideaal voor zakenreizen en vakanties, omdat je snel je bagage kunt afgeven en naar je bestemming kunt gaan, of snel kunt pakken wat je nodig hebt en terug kunt keren naar je kamer, waardoor je geen tijd verspilt. Het openbare bad biedt de mogelijkheid om te ontspannen na een lange reisdag, en de goed uitgeruste fitnessruimte is een aanrader voor wie zelfzorg belangrijk vindt. Het ontbijtbuffet was gevarieerd en heerlijk, en ik was vooral onder de indruk van de constante kwaliteitscontroles van de chef-kok. Zijn professionele aanpak was duidelijk merkbaar, waardoor ik met een gerust hart van mijn maaltijd kon genieten. De kamer was schoon en ruim. De verlichting was aangenaam, waardoor het de perfecte ruimte was voor zowel werk als ontspanning. Ik zou hier zeker nog eens verblijven.

깔끔한 내부와 편안한 욕탕덕에 즐겁게 지냈습니다. 노천탕이 특히나 좋았고 좋은 숙소였습니다. 청결도의 경우 세면대 쪽의 이물질이 청소가 덜 되어 있었습니다. 그걸 제외하곤 정말 깔끔한 숙소였습니다.

De locatie ligt heel dichtbij JR Beppu, dus ik kan er zelfs met grote bagage snel komen. Het ontwerp van de kamer is goed, met een kleine bank en een lange werkbank. Je kunt het bekijken op youtube. Het bed is hard en het dekbed heeft maar één laken als onderkant. Er zit geen dekbedzak bij en het voelt erg vies aan. Als u zich tijdens de slaap vaak omdraait, is het heel gemakkelijk om te bewegen. Ik weet niet zeker of ze de quilt elke keer veranderen. Omdat ik gele vlekken op het dekbed vond, kon ik het echt niet accepteren. Ik heb de receptie gebeld om het te vervangen en het werd snel vervangen. Er zaten echter nog steeds wat watervlekken, maar vergeet het maar, het is beter dan gele vlekken. De doucheruimte is erg ouderwets en de kranen en toiletten zijn allemaal meer dan tien jaar oud. Hoewel deze in 2021 gerenoveerd wordt, mag de doucheruimte niet vervangen worden door een nieuwe. Er is één deurniveau naar de doucheruimte (je moet uiteraard een trap af) om uit de doucheruimte te komen, wat een beetje gevaarlijk is voor ouderen. Het toilet spoelt zeer slecht en kan vaak niet volledig worden doorgespoeld. Het moet meerdere keren worden doorgespoeld. Ik weet niet waarom, maar het is bijzonder koud bij het raam (waar een vensterbank is).

We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room. Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

Terra Yufuin is great for families. The 6 beds available can accommodate at least 6 adults and a handful of kids. The onsite indoor onsen was well loved by my kids. We stayed in the ”sauna” house and hardly used the sauna- it was great to go in and out of the sauna in the November weather. The owner/manager was responsive to our requests through the app. However, I found the amenities to be very precisely provided for laundry detergent pods and trash bags. I felt like we had to ration them even though we did not request for more. Only one pillow is provided per bed too. I would recommend this place especially if you are alright with bunk beds above your bed. My older folks bumped their heads every night so that will have to be a consideration. Other than that, the place is well kept and beautiful.
