Een standaardhotel met complete faciliteiten en netheid. We kwamen vanuit IJsland naar Oslo, voornamelijk om deel te nemen aan Noorwegen in Miniatuur. We maakten een wandeling door Oslo op de t****e dag en konden de derde dag vrij rondreizen. Alles was prima. Deze reis naar IJsland en de vijf Scandinavische landen, de Sognefjord en de Hardangfjord in Noorwegen, waren de belangrijkste attracties. We stopten een nacht in Voss, en het hele proces was prachtig!

Wij hebben een fijne tijd gehad bij Anker Hotel. Het hotel ligt naast een tramstation waardoor je snel midden in het centrum van Oslo bent. Wij hadden een kamer met city view en dit was zeker niet teleurstellend! Op de kamer was het wel warm, het lukte ons niet om de verwarming uit te krijgen en ook was het ontbijt wel iedere dag hetzelfde, wel veel keus. Het bed lag fijn en ook de douche had een goede waterdruk. Wij zouden dit hotel zeker nog een keer kiezen.

Hotel is located just 2 mins walk to Oslo Central Stn. Also close to city centre, shopping mall and cafes nearby. Room and bed are comfortable. Spacious enough to fit my big luggage and hang my jackets. I like how the bathroom floor is heated so I don't feel cold walking on it at night. Generally a good stay and I would book this place again next time.

De ligging van het hotel ten opzichte van Oslo S is de grootste trekpleister. Ik raakte echter verdwaald. Ik ben niet gewend aan de hoge kosten van levensonderhoud in Noorwegen, dus ik ging ervan uit dat het een geweldig hotel zou zijn voor de prijs, maar dat was niet het geval. De prijzen in Noorwegen zijn echt angstaanjagend.
Ik maakte me zorgen na het lezen van recensies als ”Ik kon niet inchecken omdat ik mijn pincode niet kon ontvangen” en ”De buurt is onveilig”, maar ik had geen problemen.

→Ik heb laat in de avond ingecheckt, maar ik denk niet dat het de zorgen waard was. Het was zo stil dat ik het een beetje eng vond.
Ik checkte rond 23.00 uur in bij het hotel en er was een medewerker aanwezig. Het leek niet helemaal verlaten.
Er is een keuken en een magnetron, dus het is een goed idee om diepvriesmaaltijden te kopen bij de supermarkt in de buurt.
Er hangt echter een duidelijke geur aan een keuken. Je kunt ook geluiden horen van mensen boven.
Excellent location close to tram routes, visit sites, restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel is a bit old and congested, toilet space is limited, averagely clean, but barely acceptable, especially at a reasonable rental level. Appreciated staff's helpful attitude who always show patience and willingness to offer assistance.

De familiekamer is niet groot maar voldoende.
Ik verwachtte rond twee uur 's ochtends bij het hotel aan te komen, dus belde ik van tevoren het hotel en kreeg te horen dat de receptie 24 uur per dag geopend was. Als je 's nachts het hotel binnenkomt, druk je gewoon op de knop bij de deur om de deur te openen. Maak je geen zorgen dat je te laat komt. Dit is beter dan bij veel hotels met zelf inchecken in IJsland, waar het soms lang duurt om het wachtwoord te vinden.

Alles is er, behalve wat er niet is. Als de kamer leeg is, kunt u vroeg inchecken en uw bagage opslaan. Er is geen koelkast in de kamer, maar er is wel een gemeenschappelijke koelkast beschikbaar in de lobby. De lobby heeft ook een verkoopautomaat en een magnetron. Het is 5 minuten lopen naar het station van Oslo en de belangrijkste toeristische bezienswaardigheden liggen ook op loopafstand. Tramlijn 12, die naar Vigeland Park gaat, stopt ook direct naast het hotel. Ik ben van plan om het opnieuw te bezoeken. Ik beveel het aan als een hotel met een goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.

The hotel was nice, sustainable culture supportive, staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful, close to the city center. The room felt extra small for me that I could not believe it, however, warm and good enough for a 1 night crash, did not need to switch on the heater, temp was just right! One thing I really missed is the the English language option in TV, everything else was as expected.

I had an incredible experience at Scandic Go hotel in Oslo. When my Finnair flight to Dubai was canceled, the reception manager went above and beyond. She contacted Oslo airport, explained the situation, and spoke directly to Finnair. Because of her efforts, Finnair took responsibility and rebooked me on Emirates. Thanks to them, I was able to reach Dubai safely. I especially want to highlight the care and attentiveness of the reception manager. She was incredibly kind, professional, and quick to act. I could not have asked for better support, and I am truly grateful. 💜💜💜

Definitely staying at The Thief upon our return to Oslo. Incredible customer service, comfortable beds, best water pressure I have have ever experienced with sizzling hot water! Incredible location! Walk everywhere! Dining and shops immediately outside the front door. Downstairs bar was super chill hang out with phenomenal cocktails. Sassy blossom was my favorite.

VVivi MelaniThe room lighting is very uncomfortable as it is far too dim.
The policy of cleaning the room only on the 4th day of stay is quite unusual and negatively affects sleep comfort.
The bed is overly soft and feels closer to the quality of a rollaway bed.
On a positive note, the hotel lobby is well designed and the location is fairly strategic.
As an additional observation, visiting Oslo during Christmas is not advisable, as most shops and restaurants are closed for up to three days, making the city extremely quiet, almost like a ghost town.
SShauna McFaulFor our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
GGuest UserLocation is convenient, about 10 mins walk from Oslo S. although it is in the direction nearer to the office buildings and away from the attractions.
Breakfast spread is amazing and tastes good. Room and bathroom are spacious, bed is soft and comfortable.
The only drawback is the amenities. There is no toothbrush provided, and I find the shampoo, conditioner, and hand wash a little too mild / diluted, would have preferred it to be thicker and foamier. Body soap is ok.

Citybox Oslo is a great choice for travellers who value convenience and efficiency. The hotel is located very close to the central station, making it easy to access, and having a tram stop right outside is a big plus.
The automated check-in system was quick and hassle-free. Even though it is self-service, staff are available and ready to help if needed. The free luggage storage area is also very useful and feels safe. Overall, a practical and well-managed hotel for a short stay.
GGuest UserTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The room itself was spacious enough and very clean throughout. One minor point: there was some construction happening nearby during my stay.
GGuest UserNot a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff.
The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints?
Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while.
Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign.
The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies.
The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings.
Wouldn’t stay there again.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. Breakfast was also very good, quite generous for European standards. You might want to try the liquid fish oil, but be warned, it's a bit fishy – I decided not to buy it after tasting. The hotel is super close to the train station, just a short walk away. I also appreciated the secure elevator system; you need to swipe your card on the ground floor before you can select your floor. They even upgraded my room to one with a sea view! I'm extremely satisfied.

When I checked out, I met a very good receptionist, who was very nice and enthusiastic. The hotel is in a good location and has a high cost-effectiveness. This price is much more comfortable than living in Japan.
