Para salir del paso está bien, si alquilas moto tienes espacio para aparcar también. Que no haya agua caliente fue lo peor pero por el precio que pagas, no puedes pedir mucho

Dit pension ligt midden in het bos. Echt schattig en het hotelpersoneel is zo aardig. Ze is erg lief en super behulpzaam. Het enige probleem is dat de ingang een lange trap is en als je grote bagage hebt, is het echt lastig om te dragen. De kamer is knus, maar de badkamer heeft geen toiletartikelen, dus neem je eigen douchegel en shampoo mee.

Отель подойдёт тем, кто планирует целыми дня отсутствовать, посещая достопримечательности Эллы и возвращаясь сразу ложиться спать. Я брал обычный номер (кровать, небольшой «стол», стул, тумбочка, душ/туалет. Для меня комната очень маленькая и в кровать я не вмещался (рост 190см).
Но мне очень понравилось гостеприимство хозяина отеля и его друга, они очень дружелюбные и старались создать максимальный комфорт! Есть просторная веранда на первом этаже, где можно скоротать вечер или поработать в ноутбуке. Завтраки вкусные и сбалансированные, что мне тоже очень понравилось, также несколько раз ужинал здесь же - всё понравилось, вкусно!

On arrival to the hotel the staff were great and welcoming. The room was clean and very spacious. The walls could do with a fresh paint and the curtains need to be washed but otherwise it was a great room. The location is good just a short walk from Main Street. The breakfast was amazing.

SSylvia TeohThis guest house is located right in the middle of the forrest. Really cute and the hotel staff is so kind. She is very sweet and super helpful. The only problem is the entrance is a long stairs steps and if you have huge luggage. It will be really hard to carry. The room is cozy but the bathroom has no amenities so please bring your own shower gel and shampoo.

TtorinessKeeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off

I'd like to share more than just a review, but a sincere thank you for several days of absolute peace and pleasure. It wasn't a typical vacation, but a true recharge. This villa is in a stunning location, surrounded by green hills and tea plantations! The hotel has only two spacious rooms, both with balconies and panoramic views. Everything is clean and tidy. There were four of us traveling, and it felt like the house was ours! It was amazing! Breakfast was prepared on time, and it was varied over both days. Large portions, everything was delicious: fruit, roti, burgers, several egg options, pancakes, and drinks to choose from. Nearby there's a picturesque railway bridge and a restaurant serving local cuisine. The city center is a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride along the serpentine roads. Special thanks to the hotel owner and manager, who were always ready to help, share information, and offer assistance! We will be happy to come back again!

JJimmysandwichesWe had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers. One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests. Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!

Our stay here was absolutely remarkable, and we highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff are some of the kindest, most generous, and genuinely involved people we have ever encountered — their warmth truly made our stay unforgettable. The surroundings are peaceful, and it’s magical to watch animals right from the pool. The food is extraordinary — both breakfast and dinner were among the most delicious meals we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious and offer beautiful views over the fields, where we could see peacocks, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Another highlight is that the hotel provides bicycles for free, making it easy and fun to explore the nearby area. The pool is large and perfect for relaxing, rounding out a truly special experience. We will definitely be coming back and can’t recommend this place enough.
