Nice, clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Shower was okay. Water did not get hot, lukewarm at best and refrigerator was not cold at all, I almost thought it was broken. Food was good if you stick to Nepali and Indian food options, but lassis were watered down. Drinks were also not cold. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had two instances that really turned me off. They have a free buffet breakfast, but if you opt to skip it, they call you very early in the morning to ask if you're coming or not. This disturbed my sleep several times until I asked them to stop. Today was also my last day here and although check out is at 3pm, I received a call from reception at 10:30am asking when I'd be leaving. He informed me that a big group would be arriving and told me that the check out time was noon, when it was clearly stated otherwise online. He asked if I'd be staying another night instead as if I was bartering to not be pushed out of my room before check out time, when I was right. I've never had such an experience before and have traveled all over the world. Such a lack of professionalism and tact. That is not how you treat guests at a 4 star hotel. Not recommending this hotel to anyone!

The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight! With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere. The daily free yoga and meditation sessions held within the monastery on the premises are truly transformative. We highly recommend inquiring about the schedule from the attentive hotel staff – it's an experience that added immeasurable value to our stay. Eerlijk gezegd is dit het meest kosteneffectieve hotel waar ik ooit heb verbleven. De locatie is geweldig, de kamer is comfortabel en het belangrijkste is dat het erg schoon is. De douche heeft een sterke waterdruk, wat erg verfrissend is. Het ontbijt is heerlijk. Het hoogtepunt is dat de hoteleigenaar erg behulpzaam is en alles voor ons regelt als eerste bezoekers van Kathmandu. We hebben al gepland om in december terug te keren naar Nepal en zullen opnieuw in dit hotel verblijven. ---

If you're staying in Kathmandu, this hotel is a good choice. The best thing about it is that it's a new hotel (opening in 2024). Everyone, including the staff, spa staff, and breakfast staff, is very cooperative. Also, everything is well-maintained, including the showers and toilets in the rooms, Wi-Fi, electronic key cards, and internet TV. I'm sorry to say that other hotels tend to be a little older, with broken, slightly dirty, or non-working electronic devices. While it's true that older hotels have gardens and great locations, they can't compare to newer facilities. The breakfast had a nice view, too. 私は海外在住の日本人です。お子様連れの方には静かで落ち着いてるこのホテルを薦めます。もちろん一人旅も。

I had the most wonderful experience at Lo Mustang in November 2024. I came to Nepal for a wedding and Anisha at the front desk went above and beyond. Customer service was 10/10. I got recommendations for tailoring, jewelry, dry cleaning, and local dresses with transportation. Deepika, front desk manager, was fantastic always making sure my needs were being met and that my stay was comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect location with great amenities. I initially chose this spot because of the beautiful traditional decor. It was beautiful in person with murals on each floor. Breakfast is fantastic with a roof top view. I booked a second time on my way back home because it was so great. I traveled solo and left with new friends.

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

Классный отель в центре рвйона Тамель. Номера и общие помещения выполнены в нациогальном стиле - очень атмосферно. Классный панорамный ресторан на 7 этаже - вкусно, разнообразное меню на завтраке(система шведский стол), меню ресторана также разнообразное - есть и блюда местной кухни, и европейские. Очень хороший спа в отеле, единственное, что работает не до позднего вечера. Очень приветливый и гостеприимный персонал. Рекомендую

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

Dit was mijn eerste keer wandelen in het buitenland en ik kwam pas om middernacht in Kathmandu aan. Ik was ontzettend moe na het verlaten van het vliegveld. Het hotel dat ik aan het plein zag, zag er vrij groot uit en had goede recensies op Ctrip. De eigenaar was de hele tijd erg gastvrij en geduldig. Hij vroeg zelfs naar mijn vluchttijd naar Pokhara de volgende dag en vroeg het personeel om me wakker te maken, haha. 's Ochtends bracht de eigenaar me zelfs op zijn motor naar het vliegveld. De kamer was erg mooi, zeker de prijs waard. (Het ontbijt begon vroeg en was gloeiend heet.)
