Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel

The hotel is nice, good location, in Thamel but at the end , not so noisy at all, surrounded by some nice restaurants.

It is close to Thamel, making it great for shopping, massages, and picking up supplies. The breakfast is authentic and delicious, and the service is very friendly.

No complaint as the services and location compensated a 3 stars hotel. Good! Front desk to restaurant staffs are all very good at service.

Nice hospitality and location but breakfast not varieties so not worth full meal. But still like it. Except food others all excellent

The hotel location is excellent, fantastic breakfast,staff cooperation everywhere was excellent. This hotel is not a four star hotel according to the Nepal hospitality...it clearly shows it's a three star hotel and all the facilities are related to three star or below. The rooms are small,if staying with a couple or with a girlfriend is fine but if it's staying with two individuals it is very difficult moving and keeping the baggage, and other things. The windows are fixed and can't open. I will say again that the staff were fantastic.

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

Perfect for NYE celebration, the music concert is right outside. Next to the heart of thermal with lots of restaurants  The room is decent size, but some stains on beddings. The room is clean and quiet. Restaurant staff is excellent and super attentive. However front desk staff doesn’t know anything about where to go. When asked where to see sunset or if certain tourist spot is open or take credit cards or cash, they don’t know anything and was not helpful.

The location is perfect, as the hotel is very close to the Thamel area, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. There is also a Himalayan Coffee café nearby, where you can enjoy good coffee and take a relaxing break. The only minor downside was that the room felt slightly smaller compared with other hotels of the same chain in other countries. However, overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would happily stay here again.
