Main floor master has a queen bed and a full size futon with an attached full bathroom. Second bedroom on the main floor is a bunk bed with a full on the bottom, twin on top. An additional full bath is also on the main floor. The lower level has two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. One bedroom has a queen over queen bunk and a queen bed. This beautiful recently renovated lake house is located north of Gladwin, Michigan, on a quiet and peaceful private lake. Three bedrooms sleep 9 with a pull-out couch on the lower level for an additional 2 guests. All rooms contain blackout curtains for a good night's sleep. The home has a full kitchen on the main level and a kitchenette on the lower level. There are two full-size bathrooms, one on the main floor and one on the lower level. Both bathrooms have tub/showers. A full size washer and dryer are available for use during your stay. Smart TVs, with Rokus, can be found on both the main floor and lower level. A small office area is located on the upper level. A beautiful new firepit with deck is great for relaxing around on summer evenings or roasting hot dogs or smores as well as stargazing on a quiet, peaceful night. Enjoy the lake in a kayak or paddleboat, or fish from the dock. In the winter the lake is open to ice fishing for bass, bluegill, cropies and pike. Snowmobile trails are located on nearby state land. The town of Gladwin is only 15 minutes away. Visit Riverwalk Place and other unique shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The Camp Restaurant and Dollar General are located nearby. If shopping is on the agenda, a mall is located at West Branch only 20 minutes away. Also located in West Branch are top golf courses: The Dream and The Nightmare. Golf, tennis courts and a restaurant are available just minutes away at Sugar Springs. Lakeland Recreation, an amusement park with minature golf, bumper carts, arcade and more, is located in Houghton Lake approx 25 minutes away. Off-RoadingYou can access the Gladwin ORV Trailhead from the property by riding on ORV roads. It's a 12 mile ride to the trails from our home. Simply head South on Bensch Rd., take a left on Boman Rd., and a right on Wildwood Rd. The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.The space***Some of our comforters are goose down, if you are allergic to bird feather, please let us know and we will use our other comforters. Also there are peanuts, please let us know and we can remove these items.***This cottage can sleep 8 people comfortably. The loft is a private area located above the bedrooms and provides an additional 3 single beds for sleeping. A dedicated workspace is also located in the sunroom if you need to work! The fire pit offers an amazing view all day and night which creates a very romantic and private setting.We do not provide items such as charcoal, or firewood. If a previous guest leaves any of these items, we will leave them out for use but this is not something we provide. We do have a full kitchen as well as all of the cooking utensils needed for a simple BBQFor people looking for adventure, we are 45 minutes away from Houghton Lake for lake activities and ATV rentals. ATV rental is also available right around the corner. Also within 45 minutes is Whites Campground and Rifle River campground, both offering affordable kayak, canoe, and tube rentals to float down the river! Shuttle included. You have instant access to hundreds of miles of trails, and yard games in the shed outside as well as board games in the house! We hope you enjoy this super cozy cottage. Be sure to bring towels if you intend to visit the lakes as we only provide 1 towel per guest for cottage use.Other things to notePlease be respectful in remembering that this is a cottage! We run on a septic and well system, oils down the sink will ruin our septic, so we have jars under the sink for you to use. Also flushing anything other than the toilet paper provided (no ‘flushable wipes’, no tampons, etc) will clog and hurt our septic system. Sometimes well water has a scent!
