3-Starhotels in Melbourne

I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel. One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself. Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1. My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles. THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :) I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.

Dit is een goed hotel waar je overal de aandacht voelt. Hoewel mijn Engels niet zo goed is, was de receptioniste erg geduldig en gebruikte vertaalsoftware om me te vertellen waar ik op moest letten! Er is ook een opmerking over accommodatie! De douche biedt een twee-in-één douchegel en shampoo. De föhn staat in de wasruimte. Het is de eerste keer dat ik het zie, maar ik vind het idee van een wasdroger ook goed. Het zorgt voor de rust van de accommodatie. Er is een strijkplank, een wasdroger en een wasmachine. U kunt betalen voor kleding met een creditcard, maar voor waspoeder zijn munten nodig. Het kost AU2 yuan per zak en kan worden gebruikt voor twee wasbeurten. Ik heb het lang geprobeerd voordat ik me realiseerde dat ik maar twee zakken van één yuan kon gebruiken. Er is een muntwisselmachine buiten de deur! De keuken zorgt daadwerkelijk voor de kruiden, wat een verrassing is! Maar het fornuis is niet makkelijk te bedienen, je moet eerst een fakkel pakken. Er is ontbijt inbegrepen in de Star Day. Hoewel het maar één dag is, voel ik me erg gelukkig dat ik het heb meegemaakt. Er zijn muffins, yoghurt, melk, ontbijtgranen, sap, etc. Er is koffie, suiker en thee. Neem een ​​roerstokje mee! Stapelbedden, vijf dagen in geleefd. Het bovenste bed is erg laag, wees voorzichtig dat u uw hoofd niet stoot. Er is een opbergtafel aan het hoofdeinde van het bed, wat een zeer doordacht ontwerp is. Wees voorzichtig met uw spullen als u woont op het bovenste bed. Mijn telefoon viel, maar gelukkig viel hij op het onderste bed. Ik heb hem op de schoenen van mijn kamergenoot gelegd en hij is niet kapot! Er zijn grote kluisjes waar je kleding kunt ophangen, een fitnessruimte, een filmzaal en een dakterras! Er zijn handdoeken aanwezig, maar u dient de oude handdoeken om te ruilen voor nieuwe. De locatie is tegenover de oude gevangenis en heel dicht bij Victoria Market. Het vervoer is erg handig. Ik heb me bij twee eendaagse tours aangesloten en heb het ibis hotel gekozen als ontmoetingspunt, wat erg handig is om te bereiken! In de tramvrije zone! Voor het opslaan van items na het uitchecken geldt een toeslag van AU10! Als ik nog eens naar Melbourne ga, zal ik hier zeker weer verblijven!

The check in process was a little clunky but we got there in the end, nice apartment we enjoyed it

it knows what it is, basic clean reasonable accommodation in a fantastic location. Not trying to be anything but it’s not. Old building of course could be done up but of course then all prices would go up equivalently so again and come back to the original point it’s simple basic accommodation that is useful when you need a quick night accommodation. Instructions were really good getting into the place late at night. The room was immaculately clean even if it was old. Overall would stay there if I needed accommodation for one night. I would suggest a touch expensive for what it is. 

The photos on there site show a pool, we got there the pool has weeds growing out of it . Very disappointed and the Beds are very hard as well. The restaurant has closed down as well. The room was clean but know room service so your on your own if you run out of tea and coffee. Thank god we had a microwave so we could still eat.

Pleasant reception on arrival and provided with drink and discount cards that could be used at any bar in the venue. The room was comfortable and clean, however the soap, shampoo and conditioner containers were all empty. We were staying overnight due to attending a function at the venue. Sadly the drink cards were refused, even though I was told they could use them at any bar???? And drinks were being served at bar prices on the night. Then, being coeliac, the host had discussed with me the option of gluten free/ gluten friendly platter as you like to call it these days. She then ordered a gluten free platter to cater for my needs. She also advised that she had pointed me out to the waitress so that she could bring the gluten free platter to me. As I had been drinking I was looking for food, trays were coming out for others but no sign of the gluten free tray. After asking several times and being told it was coming, by 9:30 it hadn't showed. Normally I would have just let it go but I knew it had been ordered and at a heafty cost. It took some pushing to finally get a proper response from the supervisor, the platter had been delivered to the wrong room! They were putting one together asap and it would be delivered soon. It finally did come and was more than adequate, however disappointing that it had to be chased and for the host to find out how much trouble I had.

Het hotel ligt niet ver van St Kilda Beach, op slechts een paar minuten lopen. De kamer was gemiddeld groot, schoon en netjes, met normale faciliteiten en een grote tv. Het hotel rekent geen borg, waardoor u een hoop gedoe bespaart. Het algemene gevoel is oké.

Very convenient location as it just 10mins walk to Melbourne central. The rmit university and swanston tram station right in front of the hotel building. Don’t have enough time to enjoy pool and sauna as it opens from 7am-9pm only. The only dissatisfied is I don’t know that the room service is provided. On the 4th night of our stay while we entered the room after one day trip, we realized that the cleaner has actually entered and cleaned our room without asking our permission. Imagine what if our goods have went missing, can the hotel management beared the cost of our loss? Please do not enter the room without inform customer, customer will ask for room cleaning if they really want the service.

Het hotel is goed gelegen, dicht bij de stad, 15 minuten lopen en twee 𠆤 parkeren is in de wijkstad van Melbourne gratis tram; bovendien is de kamer schoon, sanitair en de achtertuin heeft zijn eigen parkeerplaats, dat is moeilijk; Het beste is de beleefdheid en harmonie van de medewerkers, en daarvoor dank ik met name de medewerker Gary, die ons veel informatie en instructies heeft gegeven over het spelen hier.

It’s ok in case of emergency , one day is enough because very small room and no tv remote control . It’s ok for one day. Staffs , well they are doing their Jo. It’s a budget motel , I don’t expect much. Above all it ok .
