We had an amazing stay, the view was spectacular and the staff were extremely hospitable. On our last day we had trouble getting to the neighbouring town (Dazhai) to sightsee, however the hotel staff were able to help us out, drove us there, and then even back to Guilin City to our next accommodation! The hotel also serves food, so breakfast and dinner were no problem. The food was delicious and authentic, made with local ingredients. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family to stay here on their next trip.

Beautiful place, 5minutes walk away from the Longji rice terrace main viewing platform. But that makes it kind of hard to access if you don’t have a car - but so as the touristic area as a whole. The room was as on the pictures with a beautiful balcony and view on the mountains and the sunrise. The bed was confortable and the room spacious. The staff didn’t speak English but was willing to help as much as they can, they for instance booked a taxi back to Guilin for us (count 2h30 to be safe). They wouldn’t do the foreigners registration for us. They offer dinner options that were really good as well as a tasty noodle soup for breakfast.

This hotel is located straight on the path up to the best viewing platform of the village - and on the path to Dazhai. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, we arrived by bus at the entrance of the village and a guy was already waiting there to drive us up the last meters to the hotel. Also we could wash our clothes in their big hotel washing machine. Overall I can heavily recommend to stay in this place.

Deze B&B is zeer goed. De locatie ligt precies tussen de twee observatiedekken, waardoor het erg handig is om te bezoeken. Amazing seevice as the hotel helped us book buses despite our many questions. They also kept our luggage for free. The room was really great and clean. The balcony had a superb view. The location was really quiet and there is a nice restaurant at the stairs entrance. Some advice for the hotel to keep improving: - the bathroom required some improvement, it was not on the same level as the rest of the room (the walls in particular) - the location on Amap was wrong, maybe improve this so that people (maybz just foreginers) can find you more easily. Also having some signs on the stairs could help - of course this is the countryside so there are bugs. Having a mosquito net of some sort could be nice. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend definitely!

Om het verblijf met kinderen comfortabeler te maken en met een mooi uitzicht, kozen we voor een kamer met terraszicht op de hoogste verdieping van de herberg. Het was een beetje jammer dat het terras uitkeek op de berghelling in plaats van de terrasvormige velden. Er was een tatami en woonkamer op de eerste verdieping, wat ook erg comfortabel was. Direct buiten de herberg ligt het Kowloon and Five Tigers Observation Deck, waar u naar de rand van de terrasvormige velden kunt lopen om het van dichtbij te zien. U kunt ook naar het dorp aan de overkant lopen en dan vanaf het observatiedek op de berg weer teruglopen. De herbergier was erg vriendelijk. Hij herinnerde ons eraan dat we korting konden krijgen als we onze reserveringsgegevens lieten zien bij het kopen van de shuttlebustickets op de parkeerplaats. Hij bereidde snacks voor op de kamer en monniksvruchtsouvenirs toen we uitcheckten. Hij gaf de kinderen ook een set etnische kostuums om gratis foto's van te maken. Toen we de berg afgingen, nam hij het initiatief om ons te helpen contact op te nemen met de shuttlebus en introduceerde hij enthousiast de tourroutes en activiteiten. Marshmallow, de hond van de herberg, is een levendige en schattige pup die het erg leuk vindt om met kinderen te spelen. We kwamen aan in de middag van de eerste dag en na het ontbijt (speciale rijstnoedels) reden we de volgende dag naar Jinkeng Dazhai op de top van de berg om het landschap te bekijken. Persoonlijk vind ik dat het rustiger is om in Ping'anzhai te verblijven. Je kunt het terrasvormige veldlandschap voor de deur van dichtbij bekijken en er zijn nachtelijke lichteffecten. Als je rijdt of de energie hebt, kun je de volgende ochtend vroeg naar Jinkeng Dazhai op de top van de berg gaan om te spelen, zodat je de drukte kunt vermijden. Hoewel het niet de mooiste herfst is om de goudgele, rijpe rijstvelden te zien, is het ook prachtig om de groene en levendige terrassen te zien in de regenachtige zomer van dit jaar. The name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this! But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here. Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.

my friend and i arrived at the hotel pretty late and we were greeted so nicely and got to order some warm soup (the portions are huge, so you’ll never be hungry!) before being kindly escorted to our room. we also got a free upgrade and got to have a better view to the mountains. i believe it is a family business and every woman working there made us feel at home and safe. the food is absolutely delicious and the prices are great. it is very comfortable to be staying at a hotel up in the hills and to just go downstairs and have the greatest meal ever. we recommend trying the salty fish with eggplants and the fried rice, as they were our favourites. the rooms themselves were very warmly decorated and they have air conditioning, as well as wifi. we also had some laundry to wash and everything got taken care of. we got to have barbecue with some of the other guests that stayed there and once our last day arrived they all helped us book a bus ticket to yangshuo and drove us to the bus station the next day. our experience there was so wholesome and we would recommend to everyone visiting this nice family and try their absolutely amazing food :D

The hotel was in a perfect location to start hiking the villages and rice paddies, its hard to find the hotel though, once you enter dazhai follow the signs to Tiantouzhai, it will lead you up the hill and you will eventually cross the house nearly at the top of the hill. As the lady who was supposed to check us in wasnt there, a man who also lived in the house made us a delicious lunch while we waited for free, too kind. The room was as described, though the doors and windows are open at night aswell in the house downstairs, so dont be surprised to find some bugs flying around, not in the rooms though. All in all a good experiance.
