If you get the chance to visit Longji/Longsheng to hike through the amazing rice paddies, then you absolutely must stay at Li'An Lodge. The rooms are lovely, clean and quaint, and a cultural alternative to the more modern options in the larger cities. The lodge is run by Aaron who goes above and beyond to help visitors, give local recs, and speaks perfect English. He will also help you avoid any tourist traps.  Li'An lodge is also built on the highest point so you have a fabulous view, and is situated right at the starting point of the main hike in local area. The rooms give you a great view of the rice paddies and the village.  The food is simple and great, or you can eat around the town, which is very atmospheric. We came in the low season end of March, which was misty but fab and we had most of the places to ourselves.  Really can't recommend enough. If you get to Guilinxi (station) they will send a driver to get you. You can also book directly with the hotel over email with Aaron which is easy and efficient. 

De smaak van deze B&B is buitengewoon, en de omgeving en sfeer zijn helemaal niet indrukwekkend. Het is te zien dat de eigenaar het zeer zorgvuldig heeft ontworpen. In de standaardkamer op de t****e verdieping zie je de terrasvormige velden naast je als je de gordijnen opendoet. Het is niet zo mooi. Als ik overdag moe ben van het winkelen, ga ik 's avonds terug naar de woonkamer en daar staat een projector om films af te spelen, gecombineerd met de matcha latte gemaakt door de hospita, wat een hele traktatie is! ! Liliya and her staff went above and beyond to make our stay one of the best we experienced during our 3 weeks across China. They held us to arrange car from guilin and also to yansghuo. The room is lovely and the newly opened restaurant's food is delicious. Location is stunningly beautiful and it is in walking distance to the rice terrace . I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making our stay so special.

酒店在山腰，房間就能看日出看雲海看梯田，簡直太治癒了。從酒店上各觀景台都是可接受的距離，如果累了還能電話老闆接，當然，付費。老闆一家熱情接待，飯菜也好吃，一天三頓無需動腦。總之，這地兒值得二刷

LOCATION: Trip.com showed this stay as very close to the cable-car (Jinkeng terrace). That was the main reason for us to choose this place. But, on arrival, we found that this accommodation is about ~19 km far from the cable car station. So, it was an accidental choice for us. Nevertheless, this gave us an opportunity to enjoy this stay – free from hustle-bustle, no regrets. We realized the serenity of this place after visiting Dazhai! 😊 TRAVEL: Foreigners with family and kids. We traveled to the Longji Terraces from Yangshuo by 13:30 bus. It took us about 4 hours. Although we booked the ticket to Dazhai (last stop), we got off the bus at the Jinzhu intersection. The driver knows the hotel and its staff. I did reach out to Ms. Liao Yanzhen (aka Jane) through WeChat (same number as in Trip.com) before starting the journey. She informed the bus driver about us & it helped us a lot. ACCOMMODATION: It is located uphill from the Jinzhu intersection – about 15-minute walk. Since we had luggage, Ms. Jane arranged for a car to carry all our luggage to/from the stay. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Depending on the room type, a balcony view helps. I had the valley view, which was very nice early in the morning. The room is built on a treehouse concept with modern bath and restroom facilities. It had a kettle, WiFi, etc., all that comes with a standard reservation. FOOD: Received the menu available and the price per item through WeChat. The common dining area is spacious. Food portions were large and tasty! For the hotel location, the cost is reasonable. STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to make your stay comfortable. We managed all our interactions through the translator app. They surprised the kids with popcorn! During our stay, we played cards after dinner for a few hours in the common area, and the staff were kind enough to help us with table and chairs. Also, on the last day, they showed us their traditional way of preparing food and the ingredients. ONLY SUGGESTION to the hotel: please address the door noise. It is too loud and annoying for occupants as well as neighbors.

De omgeving is zeer comfortabel, de inrichting voldoet aan de gemiddelde tot hogere standaard van B&B's en het is netjes en schoon. Hightech toilet met verwarmde spoelfunctie. Eten met lokale kenmerken, ontbijtservice voor hardlopers. En er is een pick-up, wat nodig is omdat het 15 minuten lopen is naar de parkeerplaats. 1 pond Longji-rijstwijn: heerlijk, niet dronken. Had an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.

春節入住體驗滿分！酒店位於龍脊梯田大寨觀景區核心位置，緊鄰二號千層天梯觀景台，出行看景都超方便。 酒店的設施很齊全，景區裏的店難得有電梯，長者小孩都方便；還有游泳池、觀景玻璃棧道，晴天的話拍照超出片，這次運氣不太好，遇到大霧天，下次再來拍美美的片子。店內還可以燒烤，還能放煙花，年味拉滿。 推窗就是層層梯田，風景治癒，服務熱情周到，整體體驗遠超預期，家庭出遊、朋友聚會都很合適，真心推薦！

Love my stay here. It was amazing! 🥰 Great host, delicious food, clean room, beautiful interiors and most importantly, picturesque view! Amazing getaway from the cities hustle and bustle. ❤️

Eerlijk gezegd is het een hele goede winkel. Iedereen is erg gastvrij en de inrichting is erg warm. Vanaf het balkon kun je het prachtige landschap zien. Er zijn twee schommels in de tuin waar je heerlijk op kunt zitten. Ik probeerde rijstwijn, versgemalen koffie en klederdrachten, en het voelde echt goed. De Bamboo Tube Chicken en Bamboo Tube Rice zijn veel beter dan die in Yangshuo. Het is hier origineler en eenvoudiger. Bovendien is het heel dicht bij het observatiedek waar je de zonsopgang kunt zien. Het is de eerste keuze om hier te blijven de kans om terug te komen, zal ik nog steeds dit restaurant kiezen.
