Hotels met parkeergelegenheid in Cairns

We loved our stay. The location is great. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, markets and the esplanade. The rooms are spacious with nespresso style coffee machines and various teas complimentary in the room. The TV had lots of free on demand movies too. The breakfast was not included in our stay but we dined once and it was great value for what was on offer. I would recommend it and stay again.

We stayed in an executive room on the eighth (of nine) floors in mid-July.  The executive lounge was generally poorly stocked and food and drinks often unavailable with no staff around for over a couple of hours at a time. We were here for seven nights, so have a reasonably good time frame to judge.  The swimming pool is surprisingly frigid in July, actually unpleasantly cold when there was any kind of breeze or cloud cover.  The bathroom shower drainage was not ideal: every short shower resulted in puddles on the bathroom floor; long showers meant the whole floor was covered in standing water.  Every time the neighbors used the spa or coffee machine, the noises were very loudly transmitted into our room.  The balcony was very nice and the wicker furniture comfortable.

Het hotel oogt zeer nieuw en de ligging is uitstekend. Het is heel dicht bij de terminal voor het Great Barrier Reef, op slechts 7 minuten loopafstand, en vanuit de kamer heb je zeezicht. Naast het hotel zit een Vietnamees restaurant (pho) met lekker eten, en direct ernaast is er een avondmarkt. Het grootste minpunt van dit hotel is echter de zeer sterke muffe geur die je al ruikt zodra je de lobby binnenkomt. De service van het hotel was weliswaar erg goed. De eerste kamer die we kregen, had een zeer sterke muffe geur en geen ramen. Nadat we dit bij de receptie hadden gemeld, heeft de medewerkster ons onmiddellijk een andere kamer gegeven en ons zelfs een gratis upgrade naar een kamer met balkon aangeboden. De nieuwe kamer had helaas ook nog een muffe geur, maar dankzij de ventilatie was het wel iets draaglijker. Vanwege gezondheidsredenen kan ik dit hotel dan ook niet aanbevelen.

This is a hotel that up to standard - it may not be the best in the world but I believe it is one of the best in Cairns. The location is a bit far - it take a good 15 mins walk to likely everywhere in Cairns city center. However it is one of the newest hotel in the town and could give you a good and fair service. The buildings in the hote and the pool is beautiful. When you walk around the town you will find all big brands hotel in the world but they all looks like historical buildings.

De locatie is zeer goed, in het stadscentrum, vlakbij de lagune, supermarkt, Rusty's markt, de Fleet Terminal. Het is dus erg handig voor uw activiteiten. De nadelen zijn de netheid en de hostelbar. Keuken is niet schoon, slecht uitgerust en niet goed verlicht, waardoor gasten in het donker dineren. Gasten laten 's nachts veel ongereinigde vaat achter, terwijl kakkerlakken overlopen. Er is geen enkel bord met de kamernummers, terwijl sommige kamers zich technisch gezien achter deuren verbergen. Veel gasten hebben moeite met het vinden van hun kamer, inclusief ikzelf. Ik heb minstens drie personen verschillende keren door de gangen zien gaan voordat ze het kamernummer vonden. De muziek van de hostelbar is extreem luid en dit tot 02.30 uur. Dus elke nacht slaap ik heel slecht.

Dit was mijn t****e keer dat ik in dit hotel verbleef. De eerste was een veel betere ervaring. Het lijkt erop dat het allemaal van de kamer afhangt. Deze keer kregen we kamer 101, op de hoek van het gebouw en naast de toegangspoort en nog belangrijker, naast een kruispunt. Het was de hele nacht behoorlijk luidruchtig toen vrachtwagens en bussen vanaf het kruispunt accelereerden. Ik vroeg de receptionist toen we incheckten of we een andere kamer konden krijgen en hij weigerde, ook al waren er andere kamers beschikbaar. Ik kon zijn redenering niet helemaal begrijpen. Hoe dan ook, deze kamer heeft ook last van een zeer zwakke airconditioning en is iets kleiner dan de laatste kamer die we kregen (kamer 119). In principe is het hotel prima, maar uw ervaring kan verschillen afhankelijk van de specifieke kamer.

We kozen deze plek omdat we een vlucht moesten halen. We huurden een auto en reden daarheen. Het hotelpersoneel was erg beleefd en gaf ons een upgrade naar een suite met uitzicht op de bergen uitzicht. Het was heel mooi. Toen we de kamer binnenkwamen, is het in een mum van tijd zeer comfortabel en het landschap is charmant. Vrienden die in Cairns willen boeken, kunnen dit hotel kiezen. De prijs is ook relatief betaalbaar

The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

Good value for money. When you book you must check before if you get a room with view to garden or corridor withno outside view. Nice pool are withtropical palm feeling. Very friebdly staff

Only lost one point from me, because of the WiFi signal but I can live without I'm just glad I don't have the kids with me. Personally apart from that my stay was flawless. It has the perfect, location, service, security, cleanliness, not overly priced and I've also saved a lot of cigarettes (because I'm too lazy to walk outside to have one). Then there's the bed!! Wow the bed is lovely, on arrival I had things to do but I laid down for a ”little bit” and I woke up at midnight 😬😮😁 I will definitely be returning in the future. .
