"Good hotel with a good view. Be aware of even noted lakeview hotel. Not all room have lakeview. Check with front desk for the river facing view. Breakfast is superb specially Pongal must eat . I am happy with the quality and quantity of food. The staff is very hamble, professional and helpful. Speaks hindi n english very well for out of state / country travellers. The room is divided into 2 parts more like a studio apartment and good. In a room bathroom was very sleepry please maintain that ....but No doubt My experience was very good with family....must visit this place one time"

"I recently stayed at The Hosteller Ooty and couldn’t have asked for a better hillside retreat. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, and the view of the Nilgiris from the deck is breathtaking. Rooms were spotless, warm, and perfectly maintained, which made the chilly nights very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to arrange a last-minute tea plantation tour for us. Evenings around the bonfire with fellow travellers created the perfect community vibe. I left feeling refreshed and will definitely return during my next South India trip."

"So we stayed for one night, and it was ok, but the rooms just felt dingy, they had bars on the windows and were very small. The toilet seat was broken. The pool wasn't that clean. You had to order food and they brought it to your room or a very small dining room. I think this could be a beautiful little hotel, but they seem to have just concentrated on the pool area and nothing else. It's in a beautiful area surrounded by tea plantations and nature, and it would have been amazing to eat a nice dinner out looking over the views. Also, there seemed to be one girl doing everything (she was lovely though). We booked a mountain view room, but apparently got upgraded to a "pool view" I would rather have looked at the lovely surroundings than lots of plastic. Sorry sandalo."

"Hotel doesn't provide clean rooms. Mostly rooms are dirty and old, shabby. Had to pay extra for a better cleaned room in another building. Staff is not at-all supportive. No lift. No help with luggage even when the room is dirty, we had to move luggage from one building 3rd floor to another building by ourselves. Horrible stay."

"Our valley view executive room had a balcony with gorgeous views of the tea plantation. The food here is tasty south Indian and a good variety of all cuisines. We loved the sumptuous breakfast every morning. The staff are helpful with all that u need including taxi and sightseeing. Lot of thought has been put into making this boutique place lovely and is very well run by the staff here. You can walk directly from the property into the tea plantations as long as you want. I would love to come back to this place."

Kamer oven niet werken, vriezer is niet automatisch start wanneer check-in, buitenkamer lichten en draad zijn open op de grond en is onveilig. 2. Eten is duur, dwingen gasten om buiten te eten, tarieven moeten worden heroverwogen. Andere dingen zijn goed en het personeel is ook goed."

"Onze verblijf in Mountain Retreat, Ooty was fantastisch! Het personeel, vooral op het front desk en restaurant waren ongelooflijk vriendelijk en handig van check-in naar check-out. Onze kamer was ruime, spotloos en het bed was super comfortabel, waardoor een geweldige nacht slaap. We hielden van het heerlijke ontbijtbuffet met zo veel frisse opties en het Wi-Fi was snel en betrouwbaar. De locatie was perfect, dicht bij de grote markeringen van Ooty en Coonoor. Het eigendom dat het zelf heeft opties voor kind in de binnen- en buitenspelgebied. De veilige en veilige omgeving van dit hotel zal altijd mijn hart hebben. Aanbevolen voor gezins-/bedrijfsreizigers."
