In de lobby, voor de liften, staat een gratis waterfontein, wat erg handig was op die warme dagen. Vlakbij het hotel is een goede, door een familie gerunde pizzeria, wat handig kan zijn voor het avondeten."

"Sorry I was unable to sleep comfortably. Noise from street and corridor. Historical wooden windows don’t have sound protection. Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"Well located and nice lobby. The all day coffee machine was broken but I did enjoy the gratis bubbles in the afternoon . The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."

Hotel la Luna
"Sadly we had appalling service from this hotel. We had paid a high price for three rooms then the hotel tried to charge further fees. The held a bags and passports and refused to give our hotel room key. This upset the whole party and ruined our trip to Lucca. The hotel manager was very unprofessional. Stated he did not like the British and was please the Brit were kicked out of Europe. ( shame he did not know the true facts) the manager was very rude and offensive to several members of our party and although we tried to talk calmly to him he would not listen. His father did turn up and it was clear that the previous manager had issues and perhaps should not be in this industry. His father said he was sorry but this was too little too late. However, after being able to get our bags and cars away from the hotel to stay at another local hotel we found ourselves exhausted. We are taking further action as we feel we were being scammed and would not fall for it. But we did pay more for one room which we need to get back through our credit card. Sadly we have now seen that this has happened a few times before. As such, please be warned and stay elsewhere if there is another hotel that is suitable."

"Very nice place, perfect condition of all facilities! Practically new apartments, with good quality furniture and electrical appliances. Clean and fresh! We had all needed and even more. Totally correspond to photos and description. The value of this apartment is higher than the price. Design and even small items are well organized. Friendly service, helpful owner of the apartments. Parking is directly in front of entrance, always available free places. We enjoyed the stay in this place. Really close to city center to go by foot. In case we will return to Lucca we will definitely choose this apartments again."

"nice and kind reception, tried to listen what I wanted , and breakfast was also ok, the hotel is in walking distance to famous Lucca fortress .. and just beside there’s mid sized supermarket and bit further distance there’s big esselunga so you can choose whichever you want to go or buy … I enjoyed the stay and might come back to stay in Lucca"

We stayed here for Christmas with our two young children, who were made to feel very welcome and they enjoyed the garden and space around the villa to play in. "The hotel is located in the old town, so if you're arriving by car, be prepared – the roads are extremely narrow, to the point where it feels like you might hit someone. Also, I wouldn't recommend booking two beds as they are very narrow single beds! The breakfast was decent, and the old town isn't very big, so everything is within walking distance."

It is friendly, well located, (easy to find) clean, quiet, tidy and efficient - with a good breakfast! What more could you want? "Een heerlijk klein hotel net buiten Lucca. De kamers zijn comfortabel, er zijn mooie tuinen en een zwembad. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en attent. Het restaurant bevindt zich in een aparte glazen constructie naast het hoofdgebouw. We hebben er twee avonden gegeten en het eten was van goede kwaliteit. Het enige minpuntje voor gasten is de vrij steile trap, eerst naar de voordeur en dan naar de slaapkamers. Voor ons was dit geen probleem, maar voor minder mobiele mensen misschien wel."

"Een gastvrije verblijf in deze B&B met een schreeuwig ontbijt geleverd in de lokale bakker/ cafe rond de hoek. Verse sinaasappelsap met verse gebak. Ik had een kamer met uitzicht op de Arena, die vol met fiberrestaurants, bars en cafés. Ensuite was de badkamer lief en maakte me verliefd op de kamer. De gasten spreken niet Engels, maar ze waren zo welkom en vriendelijk. Dit is een terug te komen!"
