"De eigenaar is Chinees!!! Communicatie verliep ongelooflijk soepel! Dit is een plek die je makkelijk en zorgeloos kunt kiezen! De kamer was brandschoon en alle voorzieningen waren doordacht. Mijn gezin van twee, twee kinderen en ik hadden er geen probleem mee om hier te verblijven, en zelfs een groter gezin zou geen probleem zijn! De uitgebreide selectie kookgerei en andere benodigdheden gaf me het gevoel dat ik in een groot appartement woonde, net verhuisd vanuit een hotel in Asahikawa! De lampen zijn op afstand bedienbaar, dus ik kan ze zelfs uitdoen zonder mijn bed uit te hoeven. Bovendien kan ik via WeChat contact opnemen met de eigenaar en direct overal in Otaru komen, zonder taalbarrières."

"Hotel room is new and clean. Breakfast have variety of food, we enjoyed so much and happy with the breakfast. Advise to check in earlier to get your preferable time slot, they control it by every half an hr, you need to choose your bf slot for the next day. Not very close to Otary Station but still walking distance, not too bad actually only like 7 mins walk. Very near to Canal, we start the day at Canal and ended in Music Box Meseum. Overall enjoy the stay, we rest well and had good sleep here."

"The hotel front desk are friendly and easy to communicate with English. The room is spaces and my room's window view is Otaru Canal. Very beautiful winter view. The hotel located about 15 minutes walking distance to The Otaru Steam Clock location and about or less than 10 minutes from the JR station. The check in time is 3pm but we reached before that the hotel also let us check in earlier. Overall I am happy with this hotel."

"The hotel has the historic charm with modern comfort in a great location. It us just a short walk to Otaru Canal and LeTAO. Guests enjoy complimentary wine from 5–6:30 PM, a rooftop sitting area, and a tasty breakfast with both Japanese and Western options. A convenience store and coin parking are nearby, making the stay even more convenient. Rooms are cozy, though the pillows could be improved."

"My 3rd time staying at GRIDS Premium, within walkable distance from Otaru Station and, easy access to Otaru Canal, clean and cozy room with Onzen at top floors, for sure will come back again!"

"We always stayed at this hotel when we visited Otaru as we enjoyed the large spacious room and the amenities were great (we love the set of toiletries and Nespresso machine). It is part of the mega wingbay shopping centre and the supermarket can be accessed internally from the hotel lobby up to midnight, which we appreciate especially during winter season. The mountain view room also has a beautiful view during winter time."

Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities. Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied. The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience. Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere. On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient. Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!"

"The hotel is in a good Location near the chanel. Very nice beer brewery with a big variety of beer is just across the Chanel . Fish market and train station in 10 minutes by steps. There is the perfect big onsen on the top with great view on the sea. All three days I visited it I was alone. Breakfast was ok, but not as gorgeous as I expected. The room was clean and quite big. The furniture is a little old but in good condition."
