"Een verblijf in Honglingge Inn in Dali was een waar paradijs! De faciliteiten waren top, overtroffen mijn verwachtingen volledig en droegen enorm bij aan mijn reis!
De locatie van de herberg is ongelooflijk gunstig, direct naast de straten en steegjes van de oude stad, en op slechts enkele minuten van het Erhai-meer, waar je heerlijk kunt wandelen. Het betreden van de binnenplaats was adembenemend; het Chinese tuinontwerp, met zijn kunstmatige heuvels, stromend water en retro lantaarns, was prachtig. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte had ongelooflijk comfortabele rotan stoelen en theetafels, compleet met gratis thee en theeservies. Het zetten van een pot thee en genieten van het landschap was zo ontspannend dat ik niet meer weg wilde.
Kortom, mijn verblijf was absoluut zalig en ik zal deze plek zeker weer kiezen de volgende keer dat ik in Dali ben."

"Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient.
I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated.

"We were welcomed by a bunch of adorable cats!! Cats were definitely the highlight of our stay here 🐱 They also have a very beautiful garden with well maintained amenities. View from our room was great too, very spacious room with a wide range of facilities including mini clothes dryer, wooden foot bath tub, toiletries (toothbrush, comb, shampoo, towel etc.). Location was not bad, near 大理古城南门 but other tourist spots were quite distant so we had to take didi, breakfast was okay. Overall, worth every penny, would visit again (for the cats) 😸"

Qua service is het erg menselijk. Vanaf het ophalen van de luchthaven tot het inchecken worden er eerst hete thee en desinfecterende handgel overhandigd. "De omgeving was geweldig en het oude huis was erg charmant. De kamer was smaakvol ingericht en alle toiletartikelen waren van L'Occitane. Ik had verwacht dat er veel muggen zouden zijn, maar het viel mee. De geluidsisolatie was niet geweldig, maar de eigenaar had ons daar van tevoren over geïnformeerd. We hadden rechtstreeks bij de chauffeur van het hotel een privéauto geboekt, die ons overal naartoe bracht, wat erg handig was. Helaas kon ik 's ochtends niet opstaan en heb ik het ontbijt gemist, maar de afternoon tea was prima. Het kleine beestje, Youtiao, was super schattig en heel vriendelijk. Hij stond me 's ochtends al op te wachten bij de deur toen ik die opendeed, haha. Hij kwam al snel naar me toe nadat ik wakker was geworden en de deur had geopend. De eigenaar vertelde dat Youtiao regelmatig bij onze deur kwam kijken als we eropuit waren. Op de laatste dag, toen ik me niet lekker voelde en lag, wreef Youtiao zelfs tegen me aan. Mijn man zei gisteravond nog dat Youtiao vast al opgesloten zit, haha. Ik hoop dat ik Youtiao nog een keer kan zien! 🥰"

"小涵 provided the best services to us. She picked us from the outside shop and brought our lugguages back with the scooters, saving us the troubles to pull the luggages through the pebble Alley. "De herberg heeft een geweldige locatie in de oude stad, absoluut rustig in de bruisende stad. Er is een heel romantisch koffiehuis en een bar voor de deur. Het magische is dat je geen enkel geluid hoort, ook al ben je maar één stap verwijderd. Het is echt één stap verwijderd van welvaart en één stap verwijderd van rust. Er is een heldere vijver op de binnenplaats en er zwemmen koikarpers vrij rond. Wat nog meer het vermelden waard is, is dat ze een schattige Dulux-hond hebben genaamd Potato, die erg vriendelijk, heel schattig en heel gemakkelijk te aaien is. De eigenaar van de herberg is erg enthousiast. Ik kreeg deze keer per ongeluk gastritis. Dankzij de goede zorgen van de eigenaar ben ik soepel teruggekeerd. Kortom, het was een zeer goede ervaring. Heel erg bedankt."

GGastgebruikerThis was the perfect start to our first trip to China — the hotel was right beside erhai lake and the views from the hotel cafe and the rooms were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and facilities modern and good (particularly the hotel cafe which serves coffee (each guest can redeem 1x coffee and unlimited cornetto ice creams and snacks from the cafe). It is also a ~6 minute walk away from a family-run bicycle shop where tourists can rent a bike from (20 元 for a full day) (there are rent-as-you-go bikes along the area too but they require a Chinese ID card in order for you to book).
The service was also excellent and all the staff were very attentive. Each time we returned to the hotel, the staff would greet us with an option to get a bowl of rice noodles (mi xian 米线） or chinese dessert, depending on what time we arrived. There were also free flow fruits (some small apple-like fruit and cherry tomatoes) in the hotel lobby that was stocked through the day.
Fantastic stay. We will definitely return if we come back to the area. (We had entered another hotel further down the same stretch for a coffee and that other hotel’s coffee and cleanliness paled in comparison; made us very thankful that we had booked this hotel instead). 10/10!

GGastgebruikerService was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location.
Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

Room is very big, air con and water pressure and hot water works well.
Room come with kettle, microwave, small fridge and air cleaning equipment and satellite tv.
Simple morning Breakfast were excellent with coffee bean machine , eggs, cold dish and carb like bun or pancakes.
Free bus coach for 1 pxn , abd complimentary 1 way fetch from railway station and airport if stay more than 2/3days.
Complimentary motor car for rent 1 time per stay as well. Can ride up to only 50km thus please note, I did not use as traffic can be challenging in old town.
Lastly it has a washing machine as well which I did not use.
Excellent place to stay and chill in Dali and I strongly encourage you and your family to stay here.
Note no elevator thus if you have a large luggage, please request for ground level.

KKatherineliewtanWe hebben 2 nachten in het Lishe zeezicht resort hotel gebleven. Het hotel heeft ons opnieuw verbeterd naar een twee-kamer appartement dat ik niet verwacht had! Het appartement had een spectaculaire uitzicht op Erhai in de woonkamer en de masterkamer. Ik had de vooruitzichten om een vrije en gemakkelijke dag te hebben en we hebben het meeste van de tijd nogal lang gebleven om in het oog te slikken. Het team kwam via trip.com de dag voordat we inchecken (fantastisch initiatief) omdat bezoekers in het buitenland zoals ik niet bekend zijn met het gebruik van WeChat. Toen we aankwamen, waren de personeelsleden klaar om ons te ontvangen en ons naar het appartement te brengen, zoals we er via onze eigen chauffeur zijn. Het hotel stuurde nachts woestijn (witte schimmel) naar ons appartement. Een belangrijk aspect van het hotel is de heerlijke en brede ontbijtspreiding. Het ontbijt was op de hoogste verdieping met een prachtig uitzicht op Erhai, en de dame gastvrouw daar was vriendelijk, gelukkig en heeft een geweldige service. Toen we het checkte, kwamen de hotelpersoneel naar het appartement en stuurden ons naar de auto. Ze stelden ook een afscheidszak van de goeie dingen - inclusief roze Chinese tassen (die super heerlijk waren!), thee en zoetjes. Het was een vreselijk gebaar denkend. Ik had de roze Chinese taart tijdens de breek en hield van hen. Dus ik was super blij om ze te vinden in het afscheidscadeau. Ik zou sterk aanbevelen hier te blijven als je in Dali bent. collega Singaporeans- je zou dit plek graag! Zelfs als ik de upgrade niet had gekregen, zou ik ook graag het uitzicht hebben. Blijf maar een dag niets doen en geniet van het prachtige uitzicht en de gastvrijheid van het hotel. Het hotelpersoneel was dienstgericht, altijd lachend, vriendelijk en handig. Ik bedoel iedereen die we ontmoet hebben, zelfs het schoonmaakpersoneel! Dit hotel was een geweldige toon van ons Dali verblijf. Ik zou zeker terugkomen om te blijven in Lishe als volgende terug naar Dali.

GGastgebruikerHet is lang geleden dat ik foto's zo serieus nam. Misschien was het een lot dat me naar de voet van de Cangshan-berg trok, waar ik de chique en lieve eigenares ontmoette en zeer dierbare herinneringen achterliet!
Als je je ogen opent in de slaapkamer, zie je het Erhai-meer, de zonsopgang en zonsondergang. Er is een bar op de eerste verdieping, en als je de slaapkamer op de t****e verdieping binnengaat, is er een andere wereld perzikbloesemtuin verborgen in de Cangshan-berg Het is geen abrupt, door de mens gemaakt hotel in de bergen, maar een comfortabel bergland. Van het landschap tot de accommodatieomgeving tot de catering, ik kan niets vinden waar ik niet tevreden mee ben. Het hele Yanxiu-paviljoen is vol doordacht ontwerp en elke plek zorgt ervoor dat mensen blijven hangen dichterbij kijken vind ik echt leuk!
De tuin is ook prachtig aangelegd, waarbij elke scène bij elke stap wordt genomen, als aanvulling op het natuurlijke landschap van het Erhai-meer en de Cangshan-berg. Dit is een stijlvolle B&B. Het is niet alleen een goede plek om uit te rusten, maar ook een microkosmos van Dali , een geheime plek die reizigers kunnen verkennen💕

GGastgebruikerIk verbleef 3 nachten in dit hotel en had een geweldige ervaring van begin tot eind. Bij aankomst op station Dali reageerde de chauffeur snel en gaf hij duidelijke aanwijzingen naar het ophaalpunt. Hij was ook erg behulpzaam met onze bagage, waardoor onze reis soepel en prettig begon.
Het hotelpersoneel was gedurende ons hele verblijf buitengewoon vriendelijk en attent. Ze gaven een upgrade van onze kamer, reageerden direct op onze behoeften (problemen met het toilet op de kamer, fietsverhuur) en gaven nuttig advies over hoe je Dali kunt verkennen, wat we zeer op prijs stelden.
Onze kamer was schoon, comfortabel en bood een prachtig uitzicht – een perfecte plek om te ontspannen na een dag verkennen. Al met al was het een fantastisch verblijf en ik zou dit hotel zeker aanbevelen aan iedereen die Dali bezoekt!
Ik heb ook feedback gegeven aan het hotel dat het geweldig zou zijn als er meer haakjes in de douche zouden komen. We komen zeker terug! 😀

Ssu_explorerI recently stayed here as a solo traveler, and this hotel was the highlight of my trip to Dali.
The hotel is located directly opposite the South Gate of Dali Old Town - truly steps away from the ancient city walls, only 3-4 mins walk yet it's quiet at night. There are also many delicious local eateries all within a 2-minute walk and also foot massage place. After you explore and have tired feet, I highly recommend that place - only 2 mins walk from the hotel. Calling a taxi (DiDi) to any attraction is also very convenient.
The hotel owner is an incredibly kind and genuine person. She made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Even though I speak very little mandarin, they made an effort to speak very slowly for me. The most memorable moment was when she invited me to join her and her friends for a home-cooked dinner at the hotel. As a solo traveler, that gesture of community was truly special and something I can't book on trip.com.
This hotel made my Dali trip unforgettable. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

There is a rooftop communal area that is superb for photos and just watching the sunset. Plenty of amenities that would surprise you - tea pot set, hanging rack outside your room.

GGastgebruikerWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
