"De kamer was schoon en vanaf het balkon had je uitzicht over de stad; het ontbijt was uitgebreid; het zwembad was prachtig. De service was goed; parkeren is tegen betaling. Het hotel ligt in het stadscentrum, maar wel een eindje van het strand."

"Lovely apartments in Agia Marina, set back from the main road but still walking distance to shops and many restaurants and close by the to Platanias and also Chania conveniently reached by local bus. Great pool area with loungers and pool bar. Abella is opposite one of the best beaches in the area, with shallow clear water"

"If you want peace and quiet this is the place to stay, room basic but clean and tidy. The hotel staff were exceptional, always helpful, smiling and cheerful. Manuel on reception is wonderful, couldn’t do more for us, even stopping by at the end of his shift to wish us a safe journey home. Stand out staff who were a credit to the hotel were Anastasia and Amir, always ready to help and always with a smile. Breakfast is standard with a good choice of fresh fruit (I missed bananas though) Evening meal was freshly cooked and a good choice available. A good chance to taste some traditional dishes. Pool is lovely and gardens kept beautifully. Beach is a short walk, pebbles and some sand, take some beach shoes as it is difficult to get in the sea. Lifeguard on duty daily. A short walk away are shops and another beach with sun chairs and umbrellas to rent, this is more sandy and has a calmer sea due to wave breakers. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. No kettle in room if your like tea take one with you. This would have been 5 stars if it was adults only as it was when I booked it, though this is the fault of the agency we booked with not the hotel. I came with a friend and we had a lovely stay here and would visit again."

Poeme handtekening bar restaurant op het grondniveau biedt prachtige cocktails en geweldige gerechten geïnspireerd uit Griekse keuken. Ik zal terug zijn"

Nontas Hotel Apartments

"We spent a week in Kato Daratso and stayed in the Nontas Hotel. The room was big, comfortable and clean and catered for our needs adequately. The staff who I did engage with during our stay were helpful and friendly. We did not use the pool area, or the snack bar so I cannot comment. I was slightly disappointed that we had to keep hold of our towels from the room for the late check out, and also had to leave our bags in the court yard area. The beach was beautiful, and the little cafe was great, nice food, a good selection of drinks, and friendly service. A trip to Chania is a must."

"Het is een goed verzorgd hotel. Het eten is gewoon niks aparts. Maar goed thuis eten we ook geen á la carte. Wij hebben halfpension geboekt, gelukkig maar. De eerste week was het eten iedere dag koud. Nu de 2e week sommige gerechten warm. 4 sterren voor dit hotel is wat erg veel van het goede, vandaar de 3 sterren."

"Michael & Inka strive to make everyone feel like one of the family. The accommodation is excellent wth all the facilities you would expect and the pool is brilliant with a separate pool for little ones. The local area has many excellent tavernas and the local bus service to Chania is regular and inexpensive. Local Taxis are reasonably priced and from the bus station in Chania you can catch an extremely comfortable (and inexpensive) coach to most places on the Island. The variety of scenery, from beach to mountain is unrivalled anywhere and places worth a visit are Paleachora, Knossos, Rethymnon, Prevelli, and for the extremely fit - The Samaria Gorge to name but a few. I enjoy fishing and Michael has plenty of tackle for the angler to use whilst on holiday - at no extra cost!!!"
